a. I think that Buffalo clearly has the most offense between those two teams, with a lot of them already being high in points before the series has even started. It will be a test of who can shut down the other team more effectively. Whoever is able to keep the forward contained has a better chance to win the cup.
b. I honestly think that both of them have a pretty big chip on their shoulder. But I am not sure who has the biggest. I would say it’s probably Texas, seeing how long it has been since they have been in the finals since their last run. However, will buffalo be the second best again, for the third time?
c. I think Texas has the better branding between the two. It’s sleek and simple and there’s really nothing better than that kind of logo. The fact it’s all black, grey, and white makes it interesting and leaves the door fully open for some simple jerseys as well. Buffalo also has a nice logo, but green and yellow is just a bit too bright for my taste.
d. Who would actually want to spend a long weekend in Buffalo? There’s like almost nothing to do there, and I think it’s cold there a lot of the time. It’s not as fun of a city as Dallas. Dallas is big and as long as you avoid going in the middle of summer, you’ll for sure be able to find something interesting to do. It’s just a no brainer for me.

Hugh Jazz is one of the tallest players in the SHL and I think he would have a height advantage over everyone. I think he would be pog in a battle royale just because of his due size and he would be unstoppable, he also has a big butt and he could defend with his big butt and he could use it as a weapon. It's a huge butt, and he would be hard to get him off the ground. I think it could be a weapon where he could defend and stay on his feet. I would assume this fight would get crazy and weapons will become useful when its the last 1 v 1.

a) I would have to say Buffalo has the better firepower but they might going to struggle against Texas netminders who have been excellent all series long and it's going to take a lot of willpower to move forward. Buffalo might have the higher talented roster but it's going to hard to beat a team as hot as Texas is right now. They got lucky against Hamilton.

B) I think Texas does, Buffalo has struggled in the finals and it might hurt them mentally awhile Texas is just there for their first time and they are playing some great hockey and have been scoring big goals and getting big saves from their goalie. They have a lot of confidence right now and should get some great results moving forward.

Coming into the series, it was definitely Buffalo. That top line is ridiculous, and it's not even their only scorers. Behind them is an entire line of players above 60 points, and two high scoring defensemen. Buffalo's top end is just way more impressive than anything Texas can bring out offensively.

Texas, without a doubt. While you want to win badly when you struggle despite being at the top, it's the team that hasn't had even a taste of success that will want it more. Buffalo knows what it's like to be here, Texas doesn't, and they were never going to waste the opportunity to play as hard as possible.

They're both really solid, but I think I prefer the Renegades. I like cowboys, I like the black and white thematic, I think both of those fit Texas live a glove. If I had to pick one thing though, it's really the color scheme. There are really not many teams that go black and white because they think it's uncreative, but if done right, it looks really cool.

I don't want to be too mean to those Buffaloites out there, but anyone who picks Buffalo is simply on crack. What I'd do in Dallas is probably the same as what I'd do anywhere: drink, sightsee, eat as much as I can of whatever their best food is. That's pretty much it.

The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage?

First off, I'm going to channel for one day my Lord and Savior of all things to do bad in hockey, named Tom Wilson. The first thing that I would do is take a headshot to Tom Wilson, because no one outside of Washington likes that asshole. Then when it comes to SHL, I would break my stick in half, pants anyone who looks vaguely like Tom Wilson, and shove that up everyone's ass that has ever said the word "Tom" or "Wilson" at any point in their lives. Then stomp on these peoples' necks, cut them in the jugular with the skate, and then I'm going to lick every person in the face and declare them to be a Leo Komorov popsicle. Why would I be this vicious? Because I asked my wife from the mean streets of Waterbury what she would do in a situation like this, and this was her answer. I'm noticing a pattern about Tom Wilson when I write this, but I'm not sure why. But I think going forward, if I'm broadcasting on my Twitch channel, and I'm wearing a red shirt, and say the code word "Pee Pee Poo Poo", I am asking you to send help immediately to my home.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?

Well, Stampede are pretty decent in a horde, but lose the leader and the pack spreads. A Blizzard is powerful, but finite. Steelhawks would do what, peck your eyes out? Rage? What will they do, lyric you to death with some Tom Morello rifts to boot? I've no idea what they are or would do. Stars are pretty to look at, but unless they explode are fairly harmless in this instance. An aurora would also be pretty to look at, but would assumedly not provide an awful lot of firepower to win in a fight. The Pride wouldn't want to fight, they'd rather have a parade and party like it's 1999. The only things Monarchs would fight for is to raise your taxes for their own gain, or they would most likely hire a Platoon to take everyone else out. The Barracuda wouldn't give much of a fight if you throw them on land on a sweltering day of sun and humidity. A Syndicate would be good in relatively whacking you at the knees, putting you in cement shoes, and making you an offer that you cannot refuse, but if they were to face Renegades, or a Wolfpack on the hunt, or some Panthers in the Wilderness, you might have a real challenge. But let's face it, nothing is stronger than Dragons. Don't agree? Didn't your mother ever teach you that you should not meddle in the affairs of Dragons? Remember you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.

a. From a pure goalscoring standpoint, it's hands down the Stampede this season. As one of two teams that scored more than three hundred goals this season, with four players scoring thirty two or more goals, along with the same four players scoring more than one point a game all season. The Renegades also had four players score thirty or more goals, however only three players scored more than one point a game all season, and two players tied for seventy one points. Buffalo had one player score ninety points, another eighty points, and another in the high seventies.

c. Of the two brandings, I am a huge fan of the Texas Renegades branding scheme and concept. The black and white scheme and jersey colors, the intense logo and badass name of being a Renegade, speaks to those who have always wanted to be any form of outlaw or rebel. When you also factor in that we're discussing Dallas, Texas as the location of where the Renegades play hockey, it all adds us to the better brand of the two teams.

d. Outside of Buffalo Wings, name me one other cool thing about Buffalo in general? In Dallas, there is an eclectic assortment of Museums, Art Plazas, Parks, among many other forms of entertainment. The famous Dallas Zoo, the Dallas World Aquarium, the Frontiers of Flight Museum, and if you're into more modern art, what other city has a giant freaking eyeball!? While never trying to be political, you can also find the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. There is also many great places to eat, and if you love a good steak or brisket, Dallas is the place to have it.

The best team of course to not reach the finals this year in the SMJHL post season was the Anaheim Outlaws of Anaheim. The team originally called #12 in some jabroni's power rankings definitely turned some heads this year, mostly on the backs of some great forward play and, of course, the leadership and skills of Kappo. Anaheim brought the most swagger to the ice this season, which is not something that's currently being listed on the index and should be addressed in the next update. I mean, who's cooler than the Anaheim Outlaws? Isn't this what we're competing for? Coolest team? If so, I think the Anaheim Outlaws should have made the finals. Because they're all pretty pretty cool. Pretty cool skaters all skating around California and the SMJHL. (130 Words)

I'd probably eat Ace. He's the only one who would be at all okay with that. I don't feel like I know anyone else well enough to eat them. I think if I ate a person I would want to know them, like, who they were as a person and what they were about, before I would feel comfortable eating them. I think that would add a positive bent to my eating experience. I don't think I could kill anyone, especially anyone I know. But eating them, that might be a different story. I don't think I could eat someone I love. And I don't think I could eat a total stranger. I think that online hockey rpg forum friend is the perfect level of familiarity for someone who I would like to consume. Uhh, this is a really weird question? You know that right? I would melt the ice. See I have always considered the ice to be the biggest detriment to Top Cheddar's career. He's not too quick, he's not too agile, and he's definitely not going to beat some of these SHL players if we're talking about pure hockey skill. But melting the ice? That's a diabolical plan that just might work! I'd melt all the ice and tell everyone that they have to play the puck as it lies, like in golf (which Top Cheddar knows a lot about because the Anaheim Outlaws got bounced early from the playoffs and that's how hockey players spend their off seasons). So with an entirely melted ice, Top Cheddar would bring floaties, just in case the water gets too deep. Then he'd pick up the puck and charge as fast as he could at the net, through anyone who would dare get in his way. He would jump and yell "freedom!" with the puck in his hand and would careen into the net, scoring the only goal of the not-ice hockey game. He would be the MVP - the most valuable player, for this move. They would call it the "Cheddar", and kids everyone would imitate it, at home. (204)

to make the most of this simulation hockey league purge, i would decide to use a tactic of putting all of my simulation hockey league players on the ice all at the same time for the entire game. you could fill the entire net with like 4 or 5 bodies so it would be impossible to be scored on and then send all the other simulaiton hockey league players on your team to hound the puck and cherry pick since there is no offside or icing. i would also advise them to use foregin objects to take guys out like in wrestling, coach could throw some ladders or shit like that on the ice for guys to use. unfortunately my plan to use all players on the ice at once would probably be copied by the other team once they see what we are up to so then it becomes not much of an advantage unfortunately.

the best team in the simulation hockey league to not make the simulation hockey league finals this season was the tampa bay barracuda. the tampa bay barracuda are a simulation hockey league franchise that play in a division in the simulaiton hockey league that is part of a larger conference in the simulation hocikey league. the simulation hockey league franchise knjown as the tampa bay barracuda are absolutely stacked and deservered to be in the finals htis season but were robbed of this by the buffalo stampede who absolutely choked in the finals anyway. the stampede do not have enough allstars to win the cup, but the tampa bay barracuda do with players on the rise and new allstars like captain bromanov and veteran leader fitted.

my prediction is that the international ice hockey federation team known as russia is gonna absolutely smoke everyone this season at the international ice hockey federation tournament because the intenational ice hockey federation team known as russia has exciting young players that are starting to make an impact on their simulation hockey elague clubs come over to the international ice hockey fedeartion to play to win. internaitonal ice hockey federation team known as russia surpised everyone last year making it to the bronze finals, and are looking to build on that and go for gold. there will be some stiff competition in the international ice hokcye federation this season with teams like canada and great britatin looking strong, but it shouldn't be a problem for the internation ice hockey federation known as team russia because they have fresh players who can get it done like former first overall shl draft pick aleksander kozlov who is about to enter his prime.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?

i think considering the teams that did not make either of the season 59 simulation hockey league finals, or the season 58 simulation major junior hockey league finals, the best team would probably definitely be the new orleans spectres, of the simulation hockey league's southwest division. a sample size of 66 games is not large enough in my opinion to determine that new orleans league worst record was reflective of their true capabilities, and i think a resim of the season would prove that. other good teams to not make the finals include the new england wolfpack, the tampa bay barracuda, the manhattan rage, and the baltimore platoon. up for consideration could also be the newfounland berserkers, and the quebec city citadelles.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?

Looking at all 18 of the SHL logos, I'm just going to count the Aurora out, because an aurora has better things to do than be in a fight. It just be chillin', not caring to fight. So, in an actual fight, I believe the first to be eliminated would be the Tampa Bay Barracuda. You don't want to mess with a barracuda, ESPECIALLY a bunch in a group, but one lone boi against a gun or big cat sharp teeth, or even an Argonaut boat, barracuda says good bye. Next up to lose would probably be the Renegade or the Syndicate mobster, and then the Monarch. The dragon could easily scorch all the big cats/animals (not the phoenix though) and what not, and like Trogdor from Homestar Runner, the Calgary Dragon is going to burn down that building in Toronto and that cute, weird Argonauts boat if no one's done it already.

Then, even though fire is not going to hurt the phoenix from the Inferno (maybe idk), the dragon could easily chomp it. However, the phoenix rises again from the fiery ashes and is immortal. On the other side of immortality is the Specter who's already dead, so if it's possible, the specter could get into the heart of the dragon and kill it, which is sad, because dragons are cool. So then I think we'd just have the specter and Inferno phoenix chilling for the rest of time or until the specter leaves our realm or the phoenix just doesn't come back somehow. But I think they finish fighting and just chill, so they win, thank you.

To some, an interesting part of sports leagues is following celebrity fans (like Jack with the Lakers or 50 Cent with the Knicks last week) - who would be some relevant SHL celebrity fans? Which well-known celebrities would be superfans of which SHL teams?

Tom Hanks has been spotted at LA Kings games for the NHL, so once he discovers the LA Panthers, I think he'd be cool with supporting them, as would a lot of celebrities who reside partially or permanently in the LA area. Chris Evans (Captain America) is a known sports fan from Boston, and since he's got good taste in lots of things, he'd definitely see the appeal of the New England Wolfpack and cheer on is fellow Bostonians. Usher, would was born in Texas but raised in Atlanta, says Google, would be a great celebrity fan for the Atlanta Inferno to have. Maybe he'd even perform the national anthem or be there for a Classic game. Happy to have you, Usher.

If real-life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious, and why? Which would be the first eliminated?

The SHL Hunger Games have just been announced and as one of the best analysts across the entire site, I have been tasked with predicting the outcome of the logos in battle. The first tribute to be eliminated would certainly be the Monarch of Minnesota because while they are certainly strong at ordering others on what to do to win, they likely would not succeed when put into the battle themselves. Let's fast forward to the final three, where the Aurora, Syndicate, and Rage remain. The latter two of the three have allowed the Aurora to remain this long in order to provide a pleasant backdrop to their final fight, and after the Syndicate come out on top, it eliminates the Aurora with ease to claim the crown of the SHL Hunger Games and all the benefits that go with it. Although, the Challenge Cup is much less fun to win when all of your opposing teams have been killed in the name of sacrifice.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?

In the SMJHL, the semifinals of the playoffs saw the Kelowna Knights take on the Newfoundland Berserkers. Entering the season, many critics believed that these were the two teams built for the most success in S59. Their regular-season records provided some sort of evidence to this belief, with the Knights finishing atop the standings with 102 points, and Newfoundland a couple places below them in third with 89 points. Now that the playoffs are concluded, we can see that Newfoundland was even able to take more games off the powerhouse knights than any other team, including Anchorage in the final. The draft class that surged the Zerkers to such a strong season will uncap to 425 next season, then they should be the team everyone is chasing.

Welp, you waited until the last day to grind out your CW and the CC finals are longggggggg over by now. congrats to [TEAM], woo! Reflecting back on the series, who gets your vote for series MVP? Make the case why this player deserves it over any other.

Without a doubt, the Texas Renegade, the SHL Challenge Cup winners, were propelled to their success against Buffalo in the finals thanks to the outstanding performances displayed by Alexander Wachter. The Texas right winger accumulated 16 points in the 16 playoff games it took to reach the Challenge Cup. Nine goals and seven assists made up his point totals. Special teams were a key difference in the Challenge Cup Finals, and Wachter played an essential role on Texas' first powerplay unit that dominated the Buffalo penalty killers. With two powerplay assists in the playoffs, it's clear that Wachter was the playmaker tasked with finding tight passing lanes that helped Texas win it all.

The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage?

In the case of a SHL purge, [Name Redacted] will do what he pretty much always does. First things first, he will quit hiding his machetes in his pads, and instead will create a throne out of them kind of like that old show about dragons and incest. He will sit regally upon his throne and cut down anyone who dares to come toward his crease.

Also, the throne will completely plug up the goal, so there's no way that anyone can score. Check and mate.

Now that his time is pretty much free, as all he has to do is sit there, he's finally going to break the no electronic communications rule and bring his Nintendo Switch out onto the ice. In between machete swings done COMPLETELY IN SELF DEFENSE, [Name Redacted] will try and finish up Pokemon Snap. A four-star Wobbuffet currently eludes him, and he can probably use this free hour to search for it.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?

The Vancouver Whalers were by far the best team to not make the finals this season. Firstly, they have played spoilers for the last couple years while they have rebuilt, and they have the management staff to build lines that will give any team a headache. Secondly, they have an alien with a ton of arms backstopping their defense. I think that the SMJHL is being deprived heavily by not having this spectacle on the ice during the finals. The Whalers have carefully rebuilt, however, and they look to be a favorite going into next season. This should be the last season for a little while that they aren't claiming a sure spot in the finals.

c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.

I definitely prefer the Buffalo Stampede logo to the Texas Renegades'. It is a nice, clean vector graphic with decent colors and a cool picture. I do enjoy the Renegades' logo, but I don't think it is quite as solid, and the lack of color leaves quite a bit to be desired. The yellow from the stampede looks like garbage as part of the site theme though, can we please never use that again? The green is fine.

d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?

Buffalo isn't a city so much as it is a petri dish for crippling depression, so, as much as I hate Texas, I'd rather be in Dallas. I'm sure I could find some fun dressing up like a 10 gallon douchebag, waving a gun around and going to a rodeo or something. I will have to be colossally drunk but at least I could get through it, unlike Buffalo.

Task 6:
I always predict when it comes to the IIHF in the SHL that teams like Czechia, the US, Canada, and the UK will do well in the tournament. So my prediction for the upcoming/current IIHF World Championships would essentially follow suit. If any of those teams do poorly, it would be a general surprise to me and I wouldn’t see it coming. That’s not to say that it can’t happen, but it just wouldn’t be my predictions. All four of those teams have deep rosters as well as a talented coaching staff that knows how to get the best out of each player and push them toward the medal rounds. Goaltending is always going to be the question mark in the SHL and the IIHF World Championship is no different. If they play well, that’ll be crucial for those teams’ success (or it won’t because goalies literally don’t matter here, I’m just trying to fill space). Will be a fun tournament no matter what!

Task 12a:
Because the playoffs are over and  I have the benefit of hind sight, Texas is clearly the superior offensive team in the Finals and utilized that well in their series win over the Stampede. Their big guns did the job more than Buffalo’s big guns did, and that directly led to the win.

Buffalo 100% should have had a bigger chip on their shoulder going into this Finals, and apparently they did based on the way their players were talking throughout the year, but if they did, it certainly didn’t carry through into the Finals as the Renegades outclassed the Stampede throughout the series and took it in the end.

Task 12c:
Quite frankly, neither team’s branding is one that I would rate very highly among the overall SHL brands. While I like the simplicity and two color nature of the Stampede logo, it just doesn’t do much for me on a whole and I think it would be better served as a should patch. The Renegades logo is just overall meh. The new shoulder logo I like a lot, and as such, pushes it into the lead for me.

I actually love Buffalo as a city, I have family there and I think that every time I visit, I enjoy my time in the city and walking around and getting food. Dallas on the other hand is in Texas, which is my least favorite place I’ve ever had the pleasure of living, and while it’s more metropolitan than Buffalo, it’s hot and I’m just not as much of a fan. I would like to visit again now that I’m older, but it wouldn’t win at the moment for me.

The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage?

Ryosuke Sato is not the biggest player on the ice in either the weight or height department but this can come to his advantage as Sato is quick on his feet and low to the ground. With this he can quickly dodge and player that is looking to completely murder him on the ice and hit back with a lead pipe to the shins of his enemies. Basically limiting the opposing team from even skating and icing players that are not crawling on the ice, all while he is skating around expertly dodging any lethal attacks. As for faster skaters you say... well Sato has a trick up his sleave for that as he has specific slash-proof and bullet-proof hockey equipment made out of kevlar in case anyone has any one of those "hockey sticks" that may come with that feature. As this will catch them by surprise, Sato will swoop in with his lead pipe hockey stick and just break their ankles. Definitely a great competitive advantage.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?

If all the logos became sentient beings, capable of fighting one another in a battle royale style fight, I believe that the Barracuda may be first to be eliminated given its limitations with regards to travelling on land (no I am not going to believe that once the Tampa Bay Barracuda logo becomes sentient that it is suddenly able to survive out of water). As for the victors of this fight, it is honestly tough as there are a number of logos that represent something difficult to get to and/or immortal in their own sense. For example, the Atlanta Inferno's Phoenix is immortal, but in theory it can be defeated by iron according to lore. The Specters are ghosts so to beat them is beyond me... but I think what takes the cake is the North Star because how are you going to defeat a star in the middle of the galaxy? Even if you can travel to it you can't even come close enough to touch it. That is why the North Stars are the victorious in real life logo (I would say followed by the Aurora which is just some particles in the sky).

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?

I may sound biased here but arguably, the Vancouver Whalers are the best team to not make the finals as they took the eventual Four Star Cup champions, the Kelowna Knights, to six games which is tied with the Newfoundland Berserkers who also took the Knights to six, while beating having a longer series than the Anchorage Armada who only held the series at five. Now between the Berserkers and the Whalers, just look at the teams. In my eyes it's pretty clear the the Whalers are just starting to hit their stride, all while matching up with the eventual Four Star Cup Champions. And so, the Whalers are the best team to not make the finals.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?

I always say, Japan numba one, but looking at last season's standings and how this season is going, I think it is pretty clear who the top contenders are in Team USA. They are definitely juggernauts especially with their top players in Bobby Lane and Bobby Sharp. Bobby Sharp is at the peak of his career and I would not be surprised to see him be the MVP of the whole tournament. Similarly, Bobby Sharp has been competing at a top level for quite some time and is definitely not too distant from the peak of his career. With the two and the team together, they are definitely a force to be stopped in the IIHF. As for teams that are not doing well, I don't think many are surprised to see Latvia, Austria, and Ireland at the bottom of the standings for another season. It doesn't seem like it will change anytime soon as all are waiting for their young stars to develop.

To some, an interesting part of sports leagues is following celebrity fans (like Jack with the Lakers or 50 Cent with the Knicks last week) - who would be some relevant SHL celebrity fans? Which well-known celebrities would be superfans of which SHL teams?

A clear super fan for the Toronto North Stars is Drake. Drake is from Toronto and is known to support his local hometown teams such as the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Maple Leafs. And so it is clear that Drake will be a super fan of the Toronto North Stars as well, especially with the North Stars having such a long history in the SHL and such an rising team in the league just like the Toronto Maple Leafs in real life. I would not be surprised to see Drake eager to get the chance to skate with the players and watch them win a Challenge Cup in the near future.

Welp, you waited until the last day to grind out your CW and the CC finals are longggggggg over by now. congrats to [TEAM], woo! Reflecting back on the series, who gets your vote for series MVP? Make the case why this player deserves it over any other.

Without a doubt I think this season's MVP has to be Cillian Kavanagh who put up an insane 0.934 save percentage in 16 games played total in the playoffs. That is the highest save percentage among playoff goalies that have started that many games and is much higher compared to the 0.920 save percentage put up by his opposing goaltender Elizabeth Doyle. Comparing to other players in his team, the highest point scorer was Theo Kondos and Alexander Wachter with 16 points each which in my opinion does not put them near what Cillian Kavanagh did for the Texas Renegades. That's why Kavanagh gets my MVP vote.

I mean... a Strawberry Sailfish sounds pretty good in a dire situation... Especially since it has the strawberry flavour which gets a nice mix of sweetness to complement the fishy, salty taste of the sailfish meat. I am not saying I would consume him immediately, but when desperate times call for desperate measures, I will have the fire already going using our hockey sticks as kindle. Then, with our hockey laces I would tie the fish up to a post in the ground and have the fish cooked to perfection within 30 or so minutes. I have to apologize to Sailfish... but I had to do it.
