So this was a tough season for everyone in the SHL. Dealing with trolls online, horrible PR from product endorsements, and on top of that all some minor identity fraud to add to the pile. Are these the worst things to happen to your player this season, or did something unimaginably horrible happen? On the flip side, were there any bright spots hidden in the countless nuisances and problems? What good things on and off the ice happened this season for you?

This was a disappointing season for LAP and Grape Fruit. LAP was bounced in the first round again with a more promising roster than ever and it hurt more than any playoff exit before. Testing had a very favorable finish to that series but ultimately it was not meant to be. That was the big disappointment for the team but Grape Fruit did not produce as much as desired. His line mates went crazy and scored all over the place while Grape Fruit just watched, which is awesome for them and Grape Fruit is very happy for their success, just wishes to have played a bigger role throughout the season to contribute to the team's overall success. The future is still bright and hopefully things will work out better in the future but until then, Grape Fruit will be disappointed with this season's results and strive to do better. Here's to an even better next season for LAP!

Pokemon! Everyone loves em, and if you don't, you didn't have a childhood. Or adulthood. Anyways, let's imagine all SHL and SMJHL players are now pokemon. Assemble your team! On top of that, what is your strategy to navigate the POKESHL? Try to get the strongest pokemon and become champion? Catch all of the possible players and complete your pokedex? UwU Breed them? Catch low level juniors players and train them? Or become a gym leader, helping others on their path to greatness? I'd love to hear your approach.

The trick is going to be a little bit of sweet talk to join the team, a little bit of historical success and a lot of money. I would assume many SHL or SMJHL pokemon would want success but they probably want money too. Everyone has their price and the other factors contribute but ultimately the dollar signs will make it work. My strategy would to put a high dollar bill on a fishing line, luring the players in with the illusion of money only to make them play for what will probably be a disappointing amount, until I have enough players to become good then I will take over the world. I didn't play too much pokemon so maybe this would be an effective strategy or maybe not, only time will tell. One thing is for sure, if I do happen to succeed, I will indeed be very successful and the best pokemon trainer catcher whatever the term might be.

We're adding 2 teams to the SMJHL this season. Do you think we should keep the current SMJHL playoff format of everyone makes it? Or is it time to just take the best 8 or 12 teams and let em duke it out? Defend your stance.

I think as many teams as possible should make the SMJHL playoffs. This is great for user engagement and I feel like rookies can fade out if their team isn't in the playoffs. Even if it's a first round sweep it's still better than not having a chance to go far in the playoffs at all. There's no real money on the line here or anything so it should be as fun as possible while making it somewhat rewarding for those who do well. At the end of the day, there's going to be plenty of disappointment for every player in their career so at least give them a fighting chance while their young.

Luke let you keep the money you stole from him in the heist, and won't tell the authorities. But you have to take him on a wonderful date using the money. How does your evening go? What dining and activities do you have in store for good ol' Lukey boy?

I will take Luke to the library of congress. He seems to like the history of the SHL so I think he would like the collection of works they have there. He could not read everything there if he tried so I know it will keep him busy for a while. Someone will probably have to take over his responsibilities while he's gone so I guess that is actually a net negative for the SHL. Either way, this should be a fun time for Luke. When he gets engrossed I guess I'll chill on reddit or something while he's reading. Maybe not the best date.

I, Luffy Richard, have been steadily improving over the seasons. Going from washed up rookie, to someone you can least put on the ice and not have to cover your eyes. To be fair, sometimes I did as if my own eyes were closed. What is a down this season is that I am once again the only Toronto North Star (who played the entire season with the team) to be a minus player. I was a minus-four, and when you want to earn your team a cup, and veteran teammates who went through a painful rebuild, that stat sticks out like a sore thumb. I know it is not the most important stat when looking at how useful I am on the ice, but the other ones make it more clear I am the weakest link. One up was my points total shot up, and I even managed some power play time where I notched an assist, so I got that going for me. (165)

Freaky Friday.. or Monday. Tuesday? Anyhow, I think the finals will be over by Friday barring some kind of Re-sim :grimace: Anyways, I forgot the plot of the movie but there's something about a fortune cookie and now you're in your mom's body! But actually, it's the body of an SHL player, one from Chicago or Buffalo! (If you are on Buffalo or Chicago, you can't be yourself, pick a teammate or opponent). Now that you are them and they are you, what do you do during the big game? Play amazing and turn a scrub into a superstar? Play like a bum and try to help the other team win? Oggle yourself in the mirror? The world is so exciting in a new body...

I, Luffy Richard, would enter into the body of that Monkey of Luffy fellow, yes the other Luffy. My essence would fully penetrate him so that I had complete control over his every action. Muahah. Oh wait, he is in me too? Damn, does that mean I will play like a scrub and not the most amazing Luffy to ever play for the North Stars? You mean to tell me he is going to tank my stats when I am so close to winning the most valuable player in the league? (I know the irony of saying how much I suck above is conflicting, but this is a freaky friday, not a self-deprecating friday. Also I’m writing this on Friday the thirteenth and that is kind of spooky). I would of course play a dominating game because that is just who I am. I would not oggle myself in the mirror because that would be wrong. . .also I do not know what that means. Is it like google? (168 words)

Ugh, poetry is so 17th century, we're ditching that prompt. Earlier in the season I had you flex your songwriting in an SHL style parody, but this time you don't have a song to lean on. You're writing your very own diss track about something SHL related. A player, A team, A GM, anything. You can write a diss track about CW if you want.Here are the rules: At least 12 lines (and at least 60 words total) but if you wanna do more go for it. Take the best eight or twelve teams. It was a miserable feeling being the worst team and then just getting pummelled in the playoffs. It was not fun and made me dread the inevitable steamrolling we were about to receive. Sometimes the disparity between teams is just to great and there is no chance, even in a sim league where chance can play a big part, that one team can do anything but get embarrassed. Why even prepare when you know a tidal wave is not gonna stop destroying your dingy no matter how much you wave at it. It just feels more competitive and makes the season feel justified when you do not take every team in the league.

I, Luffy Richard, cannot believe what I just witnessed. What an astounding series between two dominant teams and former divisional rivals. It was like watching gods wrestle over a limited edition beanie baby. I mean, did you see that? Did you see that? Wow! Really great passing. And the goalies, I don’t see how a tendy could make it pass either of them, but you know. . .teams gotta score and such. I just. . .I almost don’t have the words. . .about a hundred of them to describe how great it all was. But in all fairness, Hippo Passamus was the true hero of the series because he is just a real passer of a hippo. Bravo to him for another great performance. Eleven assists is nothing to sneeze at, especially since, presumably, some of those came during the finals! Clutch. (139 words)

I think looking back no one really expected the Forge to be as good as we were. Being an afterthought this year, we really broke out and opened a lot of eyes. Ultimately we lost in Game 6, which was heartbreaking, and if im being honest still kind of stings but on the other hand I do not want to discredit the great run we had. I think with everything said and done, I am very proud of all the boys. We are still a young team and with another off-season under our belts, I think we will continue to grow into a powerhouse hopefully. Overall we are a very young team and to make the playoffs in the first season is a huge accomplishment and once the young guns gain some TPE, I think we have a real chance to become a contender. I just hope it happens before my player becomes a bum.

SWEDEN. With the playoffs finishing up soon, we are excited to have the team back together for another IIHF run. The last couple of seasons have not gone the way we wanted, and we look to change that this year. Last season, the Tre Kronor fielded a roster full of promising up-and-coming talent, led by veteran Swedish mainstays. With the competition continuing to become fiercer each season, last season’s roster did not achieve what they set out to do, which was to finish on that podium. With another season under our belt, the youth movement in full swing, alongside the steady veteran presence, the Tre Kronor hopes for better results this season. The infusion of young talent has provided a spark for the King Carl faithful, and we hope to shock a lot of people during this tournament. Last season's results were unacceptable for King Carl and the Swedish National Team; we are hungry to right the wrongs of last season and once again aim for a medal finish. It is Sweden’s time to show that they are a force to be reckoned with & we hope this tournament is the start of something special

[54 words] I guess they deserve to be here but c’mon BUF needs to chill… can we have some other teams other than BUF each year… I’m sick and tired of BUF getting helped out and boom… finals again for them. I don’t think either team was gifted a final appearance because I believe in the league’s parity.
b. [53 words] I gotta give it up to BUF honestly, it is pretty impressive to see the continued 20 season dominance they have been putting on. I can also admit that it is slightly annoying but eh what can you do? It is kinda funny because they're like the exact opposite of real like BUF.
c. [61 words] That Chicago goal song man… hearing that makes me wanna shoot myself every time CHI scores at home. I didn’t know this was a tik tok stadium but man that song grinds my gears. Maybe its because that song is so overplayed but whatever it is, I hate that song. Olivia Rodrigo fans chill out… don’t come trying to cancel me.
d.[64 words] Gunnar Soderberg. Jess is the nicest person ever and her player is the same. Gunnar is the best player to play for CHI and please don’t try to argue that with me.
