S61 PT#1- A Sim-ple Day
#61

Ahh man, I wake up, get out of the bed, put on some clothes, clothes meaning just a morning robe and some socks on. I notice I'm trapped inside my room. Where have the windows gone, where's the door, what about the closet and the TV?
Huh, that's odd. I could've sworn when I went to bed all the things were here.. Even the paint off the walls have turned into gray cement.. What's going on in here?
Oh hey look, the door's back! . . . Waaait a second, the last door was a brown wooden one and this one's a sleek stainless steel one, oh well, that's just life I suppose.
I walk through the door and fall into a deep pool or water! - What the hell is going on! How do I get out of here!? There's no ladder or anything. Help! I'm drowning!
Sigh, I guess this is the end of me. How could this have happened to me. Why did I build my house like this!?

Seven A.M. the alarm clock rings and time to wake up.  Take a shower and get all clean.  Grab some breakfast and see what junk is on the t.v.  By this time its only around seven fifteen.  Time to play a game or maybe two or three, oh look, intelligence level up!.  Go outside and check the rosebuds, look at the bank account and bam, the money almost seems infinite.  Walk to the backyard and wish there was a pool, preferably with ladders so I don't get stuck and drown.  Then its nearly lunch and off to work.  Team meetings, morning skate and getting shot at by all my team-mates.  Follow up with lunch and even more meetings.  Contract reviews, player signings and presswork.  Hit the gym for a little early afternoon stress relief and exercise, oh look...bonus points to health!  Then its time to prep for the game.  Head home, dress up for a "night on the town".  But first, I have to do the dishes otherwise there will be flies on the plate.

At this point in my career sim days really don't even matter to me anymore. I used to really anticipate them and when we switched even watch the live sim but to be quite honest I've about had it with my time in the SHL. I am simply playing out the string and hanging on for my teammates and for our goalie of the future to get enough tpe to earn the call up. I usually find out on discord how the team is doing when they might tag me if my player did something but at this point in my career as a backup it's nothing but a grind to keep my player relevant to help out my team. I have seen the site change pretty much for the worse in my opinion over the 6 years I've been here, FHM is a fuckin joke that relegated a whole class of players, being goalies, to being pointless and meaningless all because some assholes tried to game the system to win. So sim day is really simple for me, it's a day just like any other where I may or may not check in, depending on if there's a PT or something to do.

SHL being in the Sims is a funny thing to think and talk about. I think the most important thing is making sure all of the bars of food, drink, happiness, etc are all green. I think that would be something that would be the first thing to worry about. I think, I would wake up, I would definitely have to eat then watch television. I feel like I would do that for so long when I was playing Sims. I would definitely have a hockey rink in the backyard of my house, so I would be going out there and playing some hockey on a net. I do not have boards, so it would kind of suck having to go chase out the puck every time I miss the net with a slapshot. Luckily, I have a lot of land so I would not hit anything else when I missed. I would definitely have people over, but hockey would be first. Of course.

Miguel is a pretty organized and structured guy, so he is pretty set in his routine. On practice days he gets up around 7 am and eats a good breakfast, and then heads to the rink to get warmed up. After a good morning’s practice he makes sure to get a good hearty lunch as well. Miguel is pretty nutrition minded and he tracks what he eats pretty closely. After that he usually reads for an hour or so for relaxation. Miguel is an avid reader and loves cheesy sci-fi novels on his Kindle as recreation. In the afternoon, Miguel does some kind of personal workout, whether it's weights or cardio depends on the day and how he feels. He might study some tape or do some sort of mental training, and just hang out with his teammates before heading home for dinner. After dinner he might go out for a bit, but nothing too crazy before heading back to his apartment for an early bedtime. Miguel’s teammates tease him a bit about his routines and maybe he is a bit of an old man at heart!

First off, gotta get up, take a shower, pee, and eat because those hygiene, bladder, and hunger bars are low. But of course each task takes about an hour, because Sims, so by the time I am ready to head out on the town, it is already 11:15am. When I'm ready to step out the door, I realize that my trash is stinking it up from the party I had the night before, so I take 45 minutes to take the trash out. Finally, at noon, I run down to the gym and get a little workout in. 1 hour shower again. I head up to the library and sit down at the chess board and work on my Brainiac skill for about 4 hours. Gotta stay sharp and get that promotion! It's now 5pm and the day is pretty much over. I take a taxi home and pee once again. As I'm eatin my nice late dinner, my Sim decides they are too tired and forgets they are starving and heads to bed. Goodnight world.

Slavakov woke up and felt something was off. This was not his normal life, he woke in a different kind of sim world. The world of the Sim…. Golf! Simgolf, for those who don’t know, is a 20 year old game where you design and play your own golf course. Slavakov was very excited to expand to a different sport and take the opportunity to build the best golf course in the world. After investing in some nice Hawaiian property, he got to work. Starting out with a nice, straightforward par 4, he would go on to develop an amazing 18 hole golf course, with notable holes being the big left dogleg of hole 7, the par 3 off of a cliff on hole 12, and hole 18, which ends with a shot onto a green surrounded entirely by water. Slavakov’s Sim course would go on to host a variety of tournaments, and it all went so well for him he couldn’t wait to continue!... Until he woke up the next day.

I’ve never played the sims so I honestly have no idea how any of that works. I guess I’d try to seduce all my team mates because they’re all a bunch of cuties. And I’d eat an incredibly unhealthy amount of food and get as fat as I possibly could. My on ice place isn’t really a factor on the best days, so it’s not like it matters how my physical abilities (or lack there of) are effected when I have team mates who are actually good and skilled. Oh no, Chimkin Wing is a fat turd now. How will we go without his 1 assist every four games? In addition to getting as fat as possible, I would go straight to the bar and get completely wasted before every practice and game, because why not? I think it would be funny to see some fat slob who is absolutely shit faced trying to skate around the ice and do hockey stuff.

Petr, being of ... questionable origins, does not need sleep. Instead of waking up in the morning, Petr will pump iron all through the night, pausing only for 3rd, 4th, and 5th dinners, and the occasional bathroom break. There is no such thing as an off day as long as the nation of the Czech Republic still requires his services. What follows during the day is hours of on-ice practice in his personal rink in the backyard. The house itself may be minimalistic, with only 3-4 rooms total, but the property's backyard is where the value is, and the crowning piece is the rink. Petr trains to attain perfection so that enemies of the nation may be defeated some day. Finally, Petr spends his evenings hiding in the hedgerows around certain Team Japan players' houses as he gains intel for the cause. It's a shame ... oh wait, this is a game, man this makes it easier. Let's just get all of Team Japan and the Swiss in a pool together, call it an expansion team pool party or something, and then remove the ladders! Problem solved. Maybe we should do the SHL in The Sims.

Kaspars Claude is a very superstitious guy,. he is not just a little stitious as some people say. He likes to wake up and have himself his protein pancakes with his espresso, maybe even a double espresso depending on how he is feeling and how important the game is. He would head to the rink for some film and even get a quick workout in before heading back to his room at the hotel or to his house. There, he would take a little power nap, anything more than 30 minutes will ruin his whole mojo so he has multiple alarms to make sure he gets out of bed. Then, he would have a fast-digesting carb meal with a decent amount of protein, really depends what the team is offering at the buffet or in the "clubhouse." Has to make sure he shoots the shit with the boys, jokes around a little to loosen up before playing some keep-ups or PIG as they call it back home. And then it is a podcast while he gets dressed because he hates getting a beat stuck in his head prior to a game. As he steps on the ice, he tells himself "Let's F**king Go!" and hops on to have himself a game

Duncan Mackenzie wakes up 2 hours before practice and then makes himself a quick breakfast of eggs. This makes him 1 hour late for practice. He disappears into the strange abyss that is "work" neither being fully present or fully absent. It is a strange place, almost like a wormhole. He returns to his apartment at 3pm. He breaks down crying for no discernable reason then tries to make some dinner. The grilled cheese sandwich he is making bursts into flames, somehow lighting the entire stove on fire. Mackenzie, doing what a normal human would do, stand there screaming until he too catches fire. After screaming some more, he decides to extinguish the fire. Disgustingly filthy and still hungry, Mackenzie heads back to the rink for the evenings game. He uses his stench to his advantage, easily winning battles in the corners as no one wants to come near him. Upon returning to his apartment, Mackenzie passes out from exhaustion in his kitchen and sleeps until the next day to do it all again.
