If my attributes were swapped, I think I would be such a good player. I would be able to shoot the lights out from anywhere on the rink while having some good offensive read, hitting, positioning. I also think I would be pretty damn good on defense with 81 defensive read, 71 balance, 71 hitting, 71 positioning and 61 shot blocking. I think it would make my guy so much better than I did this season and have in the past. I think that Head Office should absolutely do this as I think it would be really funny to see and really good for my build and being way better than what I am this season. I think I would be leaps and bounds better than I am and actually be able to put up points and stuff to be an impact to my team. I think it'd be funny to see the top players be a little bit worse too. Let's do it.

Y'all I'm like a hockey god now. I'm fast as fuck boi!! You can't even cover me in the slot! I'm over here, just kidding, now I'm over here. And look, I'm open too. Score! 91 shooting accuracy boy! What you know about that? Did I make you mad by being so good? You want to fight me? BOOM 50 fighting. Knocked your ass out. I'll gladly take my 5 for that because guess what? there's still going to be 14 minutes left for me to get a hat trick this period! The only real issue is that I have to be up close to score. My shooting range stayed at 11. But that's cool because I am lights out in the slot. Also, my bravery is a relatively low 21. But it's unclear to me if the whole league had this attribute phenomenon happen or if it was just me? Either way I don't need to be brave when I'm this good. Bruh I can even take faceoffs now. 90 son. Get on my level.

Prompt 2:

My plan is to build a playmaking forward, whether that’s as a center or winger it doesn’t matter. So obviously I’ll be looking to upgrade passing, puck handling, and keeping an eye on physicals. But the biggest changes to my player build when I make the move to the SHL will be with my defensive stats. It’s my worst nightmare to move up to the professional level and be a defensive liability. I don’t mind my scoring taking a hit if it means that I am responsible in my own end. Upgrading checking, stick checking, and defensive read/positioning will be first and foremost when I make the jump, as well as upgrading stamina so that I can play effectively throughout the whole game. All of this is subject to change, though, because I have never built a successful player and I will have people in my locker room to steer me in the correct direction.

I think these changes actually keep my build proportion in line with my current build, probably because I didn’t have any 20s except for one stat. Looking at this build, I’d be a super star offensive threat, with one massive downside: I have absolutely no ability to control the puck. Basically, I can do everything I need to do exceptionally well, but everything would have to be done in a split second so I don’t have to hold onto the puck at all. I can make great one touch passes, be a threat in front of the net, and have a deadly one-timer. Just don’t make me hold on to the puck.

At other ends of the ice, I’d be unbelievably strong and very good defensively, which would really make me a threat at both ends of the ice. I could just annihilate people with hits and hard play along the boards. I would also somehow work up the courage to actually play tough, because that bravery is lacking big time. I would also have to figure out what to do with the puck once it came loose…

Unfortunately, with these changes, I don’t believe I’d be a lock for the Hall of Fame. I think the tools are there to be an offensive powerhouse, but whether or not I can capitalize with the abysmal puckhandling ability remains to be seen. My usage would have to be tremendously specific to make me succeed, or else I would be a turnover machine (not that I don’t already give up the puck enough).

So, Elizabeth Doyle would now be a quite awful goalie, with 2s almost everywhere exept a couple of attribute. She would, however, have nerve of steel like we call them, concidering she would have a whooping 81 in mental toughness. She will also be able to play all the game the Buffalo Stampede would like her to play and then some, concidering she has a great 61 in stamina. The last stats she has that is quite impressive his her ability to pokecheck when there's a forward attacking. She has astouning 61 in pokecheck, meaning that i wouldnt count on her to let many break away to the scorer. Everything else is pretty ... bad ... not gonna lie.

Prompt 1

I woke up one day to find his attributes all wonky, bizarre and somewhat inverted. Here's what happened:

Suddenly, I have the capability and willingness to hit and do it fearlessly. Both 9's now 90s, I can hit even better than legendary Juni Panda can (well maybe not Juni still goated), but the will and prowess to do it instantly makes me one of the most feared and rough players in the game. I've also noticed I have gotten quite more aggressive when I played, and was ready to drop the gloves at any time. Although 50s, I never remembered a time in my life where I wanted to be so bold, risky and wanted to fight. However, on top of my sudden boost in physical and mental games, my offense have also picked up along. My passing, puckhandling, offensive read and faceoffs have all jumped up, and improved in skill. My vision, IQ and passes have all been taken to a new level, and my belief is a power center is in the making here. Other than that, most other attributes have had less noticeable improvements. For this odd day, me, being a player who didn't really contribute anything physically became a gritty and rough one. Hockey!

Picture it - season 80. A grand ceremony is being held to honor the one and only Eero Makela, a defenseman who transcended and reinvented the position, may his name only ever be spoken with praise. Was it his top-notch playmaking ability that made the difference? Or his bone crunching physicality? Perhaps it was his balance and agility, the male Finnish equivalent of Dominique Moceanu, or Kerry Strug, or Simone Biles [depending on your age and frame of reference]. For @Slappydoodle, this might be Mary Lou Retton. The truth is, none of these things are what set the Calgary Dragons' superstar Makela onto the path of ultimate success. Points, hits, blocked shots, takeaways - none of it mattered in the slightest. No, instead it was his positioning skill, which reached a pinnacle at exactly 17, 17 being the magic number that separates the needy from the have-y. @Steelhead77 knows what I'm talking about.

So I frankly haven't really given a super deep or long thought about my attributes, I've always sort of just gone with what the team needed. Having been in situations where I'd have loved to have a bit more say over a player on my team's build, I felt like Leon could be a good type of player to do what the team and GM wants. However, he has been molded towards what I'd like for him to be, an offensive minded player with two-way capabilities without taking major penalty minutes.

Hotdog over in Atlanta I think made me bump checking up, Juke and Ham in Newfoundland emphasized the team play aspect, and finally Sota and Boom in Edmonton have had me work on two way capabilities. It's led to a surprisingly decent rookie season, and I think that nice balance of all categories of attributes has helped, and really just formed what everyone will remember of Leon. Not a liability. I'd like to become more defensively aware, so Sota has given me some advice on that to develop for the rest of the season.

The player I wanted Adrik Baranov to be is a powerplay specialist. Not the shoot first, shot blocking monster that was his uncle, Roy was in the now distant past but a player who could take the puck and rush up the ice with it. Getting really involved in the play, more like a rover then any other type of player. To that end, I trained in the physicals, speed, agility, etc, and the offensive stats, bringing them all up with a real emphasis on offensive awareness. I maxed that out as soon as I could with the hope that I would be a shoe in for the first unit power play time. I'm still working towards that, rounding out Adrik to be a defensively competent but ultimately offensively minded rushing defenceman. Once I get the chance to show it on a good team, I'm sure Adrik will display the offensive flair that I know he's capable of.

PROMPT 2

Well, I want Magnus to be a player that stands out as part of the S53 class - it's already somewhat easier now that there are very few defensemen left in the top 10, as it is mainly Juke (Jukka Timonen), myself and boom (William Hartmann) who could be considered the top defenders in the class. As the name implies, defense is important - more so than offense, I would argue. Therefore I want to focus on first having good defensive skills - checking, hitting, stick checking, shot blocking, defensive read and positioning, as the core of my player. Once I have those to an acceptable level, then I can add offense to the mix. I might never produce eye-popping offensive numbers, but Magnus should and will be on the correct side of the puck, ready to take it away from opposing players and to create a breakout for his own team. I don't know if I would rather have the Stevens or the Bojo - why not both?

While the first prompt seems like a very interesting exercise too, I'm gonna do the simpler second one this time.
Lemo from the very beginning has been modeled after the counterattacking forward template. This means that he must possess good defensive skills and know-how as well as the ability to transition very quickly from defense to offense and generally demands the stamina and fitness to play the so-called 200-foot-game, end-to-end. While the attributes that he first takes to the next level are usually defensive or physical ones like defensive read, stickchecking and checking, balance and so on, he never leaves his offensive training far behind, prefering to keep up a balanced build instead of investing too heavily into a specific area. The one noticeable departure that he has from the initial counterattacking forward template is that he has been advised by his coaches to concentrate more on some technical and mental attributes rather than investing too much just in raw speed, telling him that it is worth more to be able to read plays better and anticipate more correctly that to miss cues and have to scramble more to make up for it .

There's a huge difference between the attributes I value in my player and the attributes I value in others when trying to guide our baby raptors with their builds, and I think they feel the same way. The attributes most people value most are those that differentiate their player, their specializations if you will, but the fact is that there is also a common core of important attributes that everyone should have a base level in. First among those is Stamina: as we've seen countless times, Stamina is huge in FHM and that's actually why it's the only attribute (except from those unimportant mental attributes) that starts higher than 5. Most of the other important attributes are also physical attributes. Strength and Balance, to prevent your player from getting knocked off the puck, can't be neglected. Offensively, puckhandling distinguishes itself by just how many roles it's an important attribute for. Defensively, Checking and D-Read are vital if you don't want to be a defensive liability.
