PROMPT 2
I am actually pretty pumped for this season. My team, the Baltimore Platoon is ready and better than ever. Last season we were disappointed to lose to eventual champion Hamilton, but a lot of positives came out of that series. We were the only team to take them to six games, and we have only gotten better this season! Every player has worked hard, myself included. I got a personal coach, spent hours working on my passing, and added a few pounds of muscle to my frame. My teammates have all kept in touch over the offseason encouraging each other's workouts. We've steadily risen over the last five or six seasons and I feel like this team is primed and ready to take the throne from one of usual four suspects. At the very least, I think we can knock the aging Steelhawks out this season from even making the finals. ![]() ![]() Registered PEANUT! Code: Written Task: A new NEVER seen before prompt.... How has your team changed over the offseason? What have they added, lost? How are you feeling about this season? Pumped to try and make a name for yourself and hopefully do some damage in the playoffs? Or numb because you know the cup champion before the season even starts and are just looking forward to some juicy offseason drama in the s62 offseason? Most of my time in the off-season has been spent prepping the Grizzlies junior team, however from what I have kept up with in the Tampa Bay locker-room, we ought to be in for a big surprise. Myself in net I'm hitting my first real year of regression (jesus, I'm old officially) but already back above the 2k TPE mark. I shouldn't be an issue or liability for the team. On the other hand of that coin, we have a very, very large group of players who are hitting that turning point in attributes and total TPE to where we ought to start seeing them pop off in the season. A few of the Season 53-54 players are now hitting their 2k TPE marks as well and should really be popping off. In the off-season, especially with some insight from the IIHF tournament champions of Great Britain, we should see a subtle shift in the way some of our tactics are ran as we continue to evolve our understanding of both the front end and back end of FHM. This ends up posing the question: Will this be Tampa's break out year? Only time will tell. ![]() ![]() ![]() Player Progression Director be nice to me it's the law

Burlok is in his peak season, so I guess if he's going on any team it's the Superstars, though it doesn't exactly feel fitting for him. I think he feels pretty out of place loading into the simulation and seeing guys like Jobin on his team with armfuls of challenge cups-- or Steve Harrington who might be on pace to lead the league in all time TPE-- or Edward Williams, his own teammate in Texas, that has racked up award after award his whole career-- or Zoltan Topalo, who I hear is pretty good on Tampa Bay. I think his first practice is pretty lack luster. I think he's stuck in his head, not feeling like he really belongs there. Fumbles a lot of pucks, turns the wrong way on a lot of drills. It's a tough day for Burlok. He catches himself wondering why he isn't an up and comer, but then realizing that he's been playing professional hockey for ten years. Ouch. ![]() ![]() Graphic Graders S11 Challenge Cup Champion
Being asked to take part in this type of simulation is great, especially since I can put myself up against the SHL’s best, both past and present. While I would like to wish I’d be on the up and comers, or even the Superstars, I don’t believe I qualify, and therefore have been placed on the Grizzled Vets. I may be past my prime a little bit, but I still know how to play the game at a high level and make an impact.
Once I was placed on this team I looked around the room I saw some of the players on my team: Aaron Wilson, Michael Scarn, Tony Pepproni, and even Andreas Kvalheim. These are all phenomenal hockey players that I’ve had the pleasure to either play with, or against in my career, and each of them have impacted how I play the game. Practice was actually very interesting, but also fun. You could tell everyone wanted to continue being at the top of their game, but there was also some lightheartedness. People joking with one another, poking fun at their games and it just felt like everyone knew what we were here for but realized they could have some fun since they’ve contributed to the game. It’ll be interesting to see how the team gels together, and how it works going up against different generations of players. ![]() Registered Senior Member ![]() Registered Senior Member

The Edmonton Blizzard has changed quite a bit since last season where we were eliminated in the Conference Finals. We lost a couple of players who joined us during free agency, Gabe and Clean didn't come back with the team, so this is one big loss on defense and one big loss on offense too. Our long-time captain Jean-Paul Boivin has decided to retire and we will definitely miss him this coming season. To replace these players, we get a lot of callups, I think it's five if my memory serves me right. This is definitely going to be an interesting season. Edmonton is still a competitive team even if we don't think we'll challenge for the Cup, but we aren't as a bad as the teams in rebuild. We could've been competitive in the division, but most other teams loaded up so the Pacific might end up looking different at the end of S62. This will definitely be an interesting season for Kaapo Kampainen particularly as he will get additional responsabilities and improved ice time, so it's time to see what I'm capable of. 185 words ![]() S71 - Signed a 1 year / 5 M$ extension with the Winnipeg Aurora

I'm very honored to be selected for the Superstars team. Since I'm just past my peak, I was curious if I would be with the declining players or the stars but here I am. My player has never really lit up the scoresheet in a big way, so it's an honor to be included. I imagine it's my well rounded game as a two way forward that brought me on board. It's going to be fun to "play" with some of these superstars from around the league. As a player who would like to be more involved offensively, I'll be spending time in practice shadowing guys like Aaron Wilson and Mitchell van der Heijden, who finished 1 & 2 in points last season. It's also good to see my old buddy from Anaheim Ethan Price. Maybe I can even get on a line with him like the good ole days. Another player that I'll be looking to connect with is (Clean) Andrei Kostitsyn. I've been meaning to speak with him about his brother and if he has had any leads in looking for him

This offseason the Forge made some very good moves in order to bolster their roster for the upcoming season. Firstly we were able to resign a couple key players in order to keep the core together. Then the GM’s credit to Honkers and Acsolap were able to pull off a great trade to bring in Kaarlo Kekkonen! He will instantly help out and provided some added scoring touch to the Forge. The other major move that was made was the ability to bring in the Samuel Michaud from free Agency! Adding one of the top d men in the league to your roster will never hurt your team. These were a couple of the main acquisitions but it would be a shame not to mention that top prospect Evil AllBran will be coming up and making his debut with the Orange this year as well. He should step in nicely on the third line and also add some depth scoring for the Forge this season. Here is hoping that he is able to go off and end up potentially being the rookie of the year! Otherwise I am just happy the season is back!

The Philadelphia Forge as solid as ever coming into their 3rd season. With the addition of Samuel Michaud, they look to start establishing themselves as division contenders. While this year they will most likely not be able to take that honor, they are setting up a great core for some serious contention in the next upcoming seasons. While the Michaud pickup is the flashiest move of the Forge offseason, all eyes are on new rookie call-up Evil All bran. Many people believe he has the potential to take the team a step forward and even some journalists believe he has what it takes to win the Rookie of the Year award. If he pans out to these expectations, no doubt Philadelphia will be contending for the cup in the next 3 to 5 seasons. The real expectation for this season is to finish 3rd in the division and hopefully try to do some damage in the first round. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [pbl]SMJHL Career:[/pbl] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Senior Member
How has your team changed etc.. (prompt 2)
Honestly, I think Anchorage has gotten a lot better this year with our new additions and the guys we kept. We will have lost some top line scoring with a couple of our guys getting the call up, but with myself and Vejonis coming back I think our top couple of D pairs will be really solid. In addition to that, we'll have a fully capped out Captain Spack and Paul Koivu we should really be competing near the top of the league in my opinion. We will also be running it back with our 2nd year goalie Dom who had a really incredible run to start his career. If he can keep up with his earning, we should be a contender in no time. One of the things that has changed is that we've added 2 new dman which will hopefully start to build up the back end of those D pairings. We were pretty strong with 2 pairings last year but the 3rd one was iffy and that will hopefully start to change this season. In addition to that both players have a similar build to mine which was good enough to get me the Rookie of the Year award last season. So hopefully, with what we've kept and our new additions, we'll be much more competitive come playoff time. ![]() ![]() Registered Senior Member ![]() SHL GM Beans?
Prompt 2:
This off season was another quiet one for the Texas Renegades for the most part, however there were some move worth mentioning. The first being the retiring of Texas legend Josef Kubinec, Kubinec has been a mainstay in the top 6 for Texas and a solid leader in the locker room. Kubinec moving on will definitely create a void that we will have to fill. We also resigned MAS this off season, locking him into a long term contract which is great. Heading into draft Texas was able to pick up three players, and three active players at that. Just seasons ago, Texas was one of the younger teams in the league, but is now rounding the corner to being one of the older teams, adding these three players were needed. There was no moves made on the free agent end, but Texas did call up rookie Bjorn Bjorn to play his first season. He will be given a lot of opportunity this season to make an impact on the ice. 170+ words ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Member

I would be placed on the young team, the up-and-comers, it would interesting to see how we will stack up against the other teams, mainly the super stars, we have great talent with a little more develpoment and we will be super stars oursleves. So, my first teammate will be Greyson Cooper he set the new record for goals and points in the SMJHL. He has amazing talent and brings a lot of energy to this team, and scoring. My next teammate will be Robert Black, this player led the league (SMJHL) in assists and was second in points (2 behind Cooper). Robert can set up his teammates nicely and create scoring chances with Robert's passing the opptorunites to score would be endless. My third teammate is Lev Lebedev was third in goals and points in the SMJHL. Lev can brings his passing and shooting skills to this team you wouldn't know if hes going to shoot or pass and my 4th teammate is Kappa Kappa he led the SMJHL in assists and points as a defensemen. He played with Cooper so they have some nice chemistry together and was top 10 in plus/minus. With our first practice coming we talk about stragety like Robert creating chances for Cooper or Lev. Defensive plays with Kappa to not allow any breakways or scoring chances and getting in on the offesive play.
