Prompt 2
The SHL related thing that I want to talk about is the surprising role that Twitter plays in my enjoyment of the league. It's an aspect of the SHL that many people overlook either because they're too forgetful to keep it up or just can't be bothered to earn the extremely generous payout from it, but I find that it's a really good way to get to know your fellow players. It's the one place where people from different teams gather together to discuss anything that's on their minds. Every day reading a few random tweets and replies really adds up over time to give you an idea about some of the personalities in the league that you wouldn't otherwise be aware of. I'd say my early earnings from Twitter was the one thing that kept my bank account floating long enough for me to stay active and eventually become more engaged in other parts of the league. 10/10 would recommend. ![]() Registered S22, S32, S34, S40, S42,S52 Challenge Cup Champion
All of a sudden we only get 2 TPE for doing the thing for 100 words. Why is this a thing now, first they bring regression earlier to combat the TPE, now they are taking TPE away from us. It's probably because the offseason is over a month long and they have plans for more TPE for us, but i doubt this is the case actually. How come I get 1 TPE for doing 25 words for a mPT but for 150 words i got 3TPE. If SHL made sense it would be 1 TPE per 25 words written or 50 words written. 1TPE for a 50 word mPT, 2 for 100 word regular PT, and 3 for silly CW prompts.
Also I still agree with REDs statement about all the players regressing and being butthurt about an experience that no one else even had being taken from them. It's a new era, enjoy your first reason filled with records ![]() ![]() Player Progression Director certified cool by trips
Prompt 2
This season sucked so badly for me. Took a step back from my previous career high by almost 10 points, did not contribute to the team when needed and generally yeah it was really not fun. Too add to that, we did not make it very far in the playoffs and were swept by the Armada. At least I had some fun times in my Colorado and Seattle LRs. Both have many wonderful people there who have really made my time this season enjoyable. Hopefully next season there is more to look forward to, as it will be my last in the SMJHL. ![]() SMJHL GM Finally a real SHL GM
PROMPT 2
It's been an interesting season for me personally. This is the first season since S46 that I was not a GM of one team or another and it's been strange being on the other side of it all. I haven't paid the most attention to the sim results after starting a new job but I have been happy to see the Monarchs LR clicking and rambling on. This completes 15 seasons for my current player and I think his age is starting to really show these days. No long the king of takeaways but still a solid defender in his own right. Only a few more seasons till retirement but I'm excited to see how the twilight of Collin Gibbles career plays out. I should pass 500 points next season which feels like a bit of a milestone to look forward too. I should also then take over as 4th in All-Time Points for Minnesota. It's far to late to dream of touching 1-3 at this point and eventually I will be overtaken by some next level talent that's shining bright but for a little bit, I'll have a nice moment. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Member
This is a wrap up from all of prompt 1. By no means a full story cause I had some personal stuff happen halfway through the season, but enjoy what I had started before I fell off.
Ok so quickly scrolling it seems like not many people did prompt 1 so I figured I would give it a shot & a couple paragraphs later I got too into it so here you go lol not sure exactly how the rules work for PT’s but you said be creative & make a story so I went with it. If it’s allowed reply vote your answer or however it would work if it’s allowed thanks Prompt 1 Waking up on what seemed to be an uneventful Thursday morning quickly turned into an unforgettable one for Erich Tokke. Having only played on the Colorado Raptors (scrimmages with his SHL team the Baltimore Platoon but who counts those right?) he was finally starting to get in a groove and build some chemistry with his teammates. He even found leadership capabilities within himself and was voted assistant captain this past year, hoping to help lead the Raptors to cup glory. However, all that was about to change in an instant. Tokke suddenly found himself on by far the most talented team he’s ever been apart of, with all of the superstar prospects throughout the SMJHL & SHL on his team. He learned that his fellow youngins would be competing against all of the old farts grizzled veterans and hall of fame players of all sorts. The older players have a wealth of experience on their side but with an abundance of youthful exuberance throughout the Up & Comers squad it will without a doubt be an entertaining matchup to watch. Walking into practice that first day, before he stepped on the ice, he had to take a quick pit stop in the bathroom because he wasn’t ready, last night probably shouldn’t have had moms spaghetti. His nerves quickly calmed as soon as he walked out the bathroom door and heard a very familiar voice. “Toe kayyyyy!!!” Angus Mcfife XVII shouted out with a grin. “Proud of you kid, you’ve come a long way since you first got here, now look where you are” he said. “Thanks Captain I just appreciate and look forward to the oppor..*muffled*” “Ayyyy what’s up Rook” recently graduated Colorado Bash Brother Artemis Nystrom comes from behind and puts Tokke in a headlock. “Hahah what’s up man aren’t we all rookies here though?” “Man I know I’m just busting your balls, hope we get put on the same line and we can wreck some havoc.” More settled in knowing he knows at least a few players on the team, practice goes pretty well for him given the heightened level of competition. After hitting the showers and heading to the car he hears a shout, “hey Erich!!..Erich!!” He turned around to see fellow top Baltimore prospects now sophomores in the SHL Noel Blanchet & Mew Two. “What’s up bro me, Two and a couple of the older guys are heading down to the tavern to get a couple drinks, maybe head to a club or something after you wanna come?” Now you know those moments when your playing a great RPG game and you have an important decision to make? This is one of those. Erich has never been that big of a drinker, definitely a lightweight for someone of his stature who is 6’6 244lbs. So going out with the boys & going to the club sounds fun and all, but a bad hangover is inevitable and there’s a morning skate tomorrow morning. However, a night out with two future teammates and some grizzled veterans could also provide an invaluable experience. I don’t know if this is allowed (sorry if not slash) or if anyone will read it but I’m going with this rpg vibe lol A. Should Tokke turn down the offer and get a good nights rest to be 100% ready to go for practice tomorrow? B. Take the guys up on their offer, go out and party you only live once! C. Go out for dinner but skip drinks & the club. ~ no one voted so I chose B myself ;( B. Take the guys up on their offer, go out and party you only live once! In the last PT Erich was asked by fellow Baltimore players if he wanted to go out to dinner & the club with the team. A chance to hang out with the guys & maybe meet some other top SHL players, who could turn that down?? “For sure man! Where we going? How are we gonna get there?” “You can ride with us, come on” Blanchet said as he turned and walked towards his new BMW SUV, “that SHL money pays well..” Erich thought to himself. A short while later they all arrive at the dinner party, which was like nothing Erich had ever been too before. A grandiose mansion with hundreds of people already there, it was clear that this was not just a dinner. Slightly overwhelmed at the amount of people already belligerent Erich followed his teammates trying to keep a low profile, but that doesn’t work so well when your 6’6 240+. “Hey!! What’s up rooks!” shouted Baltimore veteran & perennial MVP contender Karl Krashwagen. “Now that you all are here I think you know what time it is…this is…HELL NIGHT!!!” The party & crowd ROARED like they just won a game 7 in overtime. They seemed to be getting louder & louder every chug he took, the noise giving him a throbbing headache, “what have I gotten myself into”..he thought to himself. ~ this is where things went south for me irl and missed a couple things and fell off the rpg story & had just one prompt 1 post the rest of the way ~ After a tough loss to those god dang good at hockey hall of famers team, Eric Tokke and all his fellow up and comers teammates needed to take a good long hard look in the mirror and figure out what must be done to turn the tide. These old farts sure knew a thing or two about hockey but they were old and slow…weren’t they??? Or is have purple jellybeans given old timers super powers that are incomprehensible beyond our knowledge, meanwhile also having to poop every 15 minutes. As players adjusted to no fans in the stands for one year, it took a little time to get used to seeing porta pottys so close to the ice, but whatever it takes to win am I right? Anyway, the up and comers need to use their speed and strength in numbers and depth to take down those old timers. It’s gotta be our turn to take over the league and dominate, we’ll see how it turns out. Even though I fell off I throughly enjoyed prompt 1 throughout the season. Anyone who didn’t is a boomer but you gave them the choice to do the boring prompt 2 anyway so props. Keep up the great work +1 idk how the rep thing works ![]() Donators Donated

I personally loved the season long story that I was able to build upon and look back on prior weeks to see what I've completed in terms of the character arc. It was a new idea and I had a blast shopping all of these photos to fit with the Task. #1: ![]() #2: ![]() #3: ![]() #4: ![]() #5: ![]() ![]() HOF Committee Winnipeg Aurora

Mikko Rashford's sophomore season in the SMJHL has been solid so far. Mikko has seen his point totals increase (even with a heavy reduction in shooting percentage), while also increasing defensive effectiveness with a solid improvement in plus minus. Mikko took over as Captain for the Zerks in S62 and looks forward to continuing a deep playoff run. But, the biggest excitement continues to come from the 62 draft class, being a fantastic community and draft class to be part of and looking forward to seeing how this draft class does for many many seasons to come. Expect to see this draft class to continue to move into more and more leadership positions as the seasons go on. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered S33 Challenge Cup Champion

Prompt 2
I just wanted to use this prompt to mention how much I've enjoyed my time in the SHL since I joined back in late August. I got quickly involved in the various locker rooms including the zerks and S62 channels and have had a blast earning as much TPE as I can. I've taken this farther than I ever thought I would including even getting a job as a updater. Even with all of the drama about regression, various clashing egos and all of the recent GM changes I'm still having a great time with all of you on here and plan on sticking around for awhile between multiple players. ![]() ![]() Moderators Better than Python
Prompt #2
Wait, can someone explain regression to me? When does it start? I'm hearing news that its even sooner now? Vlastislav Malik joined the SMJHL in Season 57...so...when's his regression start? I'll figure it out one day. Anyways...Malik really wants to play some playoff games! The glory days with the Kelowna Knights seem so far off. Its about time the New Orleans Specters make it into the postseason. But apparently certain teams have been too good for too long. Weird, regression doesn't seem to be hitting them? I probably don't understand how this all works anyways. But if Malik is this close to regression, am I really supposed to put in the time and effort to figure all this out? What's the point? ![]() Registered Posting Freak
It was a good step forward to our organisation this season number 62. We were third in the tight Pacific division. I did my points record 37 points also which was nice even though playing in the third line with two unexperienced kids but we improved during the season and in the playoffs we managed already to not collect minuses and keep our heads above the water. In the playoffs we beat Dragons in game seven but then lost to Los Angeles in five games. It was still nice to see development of the club to a TOP8 organition or franchise. We will have a bright future for sure in the Seattle. Now it is time to focus IIHF tournament with Finland.

With regards to anything SHL related I am personally looking forward to what FA has to offer as I have already made it clear that I am testing FA for the first time in my 3 years on the site. It is completely new uncharted territory for me however it is rather exciting. I am going into my I believe 7th season in the pro leagues, and I just came off a career high season of 61 pts in 66 games. I wholeheartedly believe that with the right team I can make it point per game at the very least and continue carving out the career I have set forth to have with this player.

Can someone please tell me how in the fuck my player finished with 42 points FOR THE THIRD SEASON IN A ROW. And can someone also please tell me how my two line mates both finished with like 70 points and I still only got 42? Or how about how I was over point per game almost halfway through the season and them sim was like “naw, know your place, trash.” And just stopped me from getting points until it let me once again settle at 42 points? Like I don’t get it. My player can’t be that bad that he gets 30+ points less than his LINEMATES can he?
