HOCKEY PROMPT -
The big storyline going into the Chicago Syndicate's season is whether their age has finally caught up to them. With the variety of 'new' contenders over the last couple seasons thanks to the rise and rebuilds of teams like Texas and Baltimore, there's suddenly new players in the challenge for the Challenge Cup, and away from the formerly dominant 'Great Lakes'. It'll explore the dialogue of how there's a vacuum in the leadership. With legends like Gunnar Soderberg finally no longer in the lineup, Corey Kennedy playing their final season and other aging veterans, the question will be how will this team carry on the their future with promising prospects in the pipeline, but not yet playing for the main team. There'll be some time spent exploring the prospects in the juniors as they'll be heavily looked forward to as the future of the team. As well, the looks at some of the players who have come and gone like finding Andrei, now that he has mysteriously vanished into thin air after spending a season on the Syndicate.

What are the story lines developing on your roster this season? Is this a season where your team is all in on the cup? Has there been a big trade or free agent signing? Maybe this is a season full of new fresh young guns? What stories would a TV show covering your team this season need to capture? (150+ words)

Alright so I squeeze into this elevator, and it is a tight squeeze. And when I say tight, I mean tight. Like ass to ass, mouth to mouth, I'm practically making out with this guy in a suit next to me. And somehow I find out he is a television executive. (Details of how I find this out are not relevant to my point task submission, so I am just going to leave them out). I'm pitching to him a show about my team in the Simulation Hockey League, the Atlanta Inferno. I want him to make something like an Amazon series about the leafs, but for us, the Atlanta Inferno. I tell him our division is going to be a blood bath, super tight race, almost as tight as this fit in the elevator. I tell him about how I the oldest player on the team, is not going to retire, and will instead play with the competitor next season, so Atlanta needs to win the cup this season. I tell him if he makes this, I will give him $1 million. Little does he know, I was talking about SHL money.

Pablo Salvatici knows that this season is a big story line for many players on the Atlanta Inferno hockey franchise and that this season is the one that they finally try and make a legitimate run for the cup. They brought in free agent and all around superstar Burlok Sulfergold who provides an immediate boost to their offense and goal scoring production. The emergence of defenders Puddles O'Duck and Angus McFife XVIII as strong players on the backend and Michael Withecheck being one of the best defensemen in the league helps their cup chances tremendously. Another story line to watch is Anton Mihailov and whether or not he can follow up the incredible season that he had last year and keep scoring and making big plays like he did all of last season. If all of these can come together then Atlanta has a very strong team that will look to be title contenders for the next few seasons and can possibly turn into a dynasty if they manage it correctly. 171 words

PLAYER PROMPT
Ethan Bouchard of the Tampa Bay Barracuda is a player who does not enjoy being in the limelight. He is very humble and modest and just enjoys to go on about his business without any distractions or being in the spotlight too much. To keep himself from getting on camera too much, Bouchard would come in dressed totally different than usual, wearing different brands and colours of suits and ties and well as shoes and pants. He would also use disguises such as fake moustaches and eye glasses and well as covering his face and turning the other way whenever he seen a camera lurking around. Ethan would use some other tricks like pretending that he is talking on the phone in a corner or in a heavy conversation with teammates or the Barracuda coaching staff. Unlike some of the big stars of the SHL, Ethan enjoys down time and not being in the spotlight all of the time. (159 words)

This how powered executive needs to know about the story lines both at an individual level as well as a team level for the San Francisco Pride. At the team level, SFP has a new GM this season after a long run of Henrik and AgentSmith. Toast is now leading the Pride and so far has shown a deft hand in managing the team the prior GMs had built. The team was bounced in the first round of the playoffs last season by the eventual cup runner-up Los Angeles Panthers and the Pride return to S64 looking to pick up where they left off last season. The team has a cast of new rookies that join old familiar faces like Sven Svenson, HLO, Bjerg, Stromberg, Klompus, and Oscarsson. Svenson is coming off a winning the Ron Mexico award for league MVP and is hoping to recreate some of the magic of his past season. It will be an exciting season for the Pride in fighting against LAP to win the Pacific.

I would first explain how the Baltimore Platoon came to be through savvy drafting and eventually as we grew, we began acquiring pieces that would bring us far into the postseason. Only problem is, that hasn’t quite happened yet. So the TV drama could be over the fact that the team hasn’t been able to break through just yet. The Platoon had a player demand a trade over the offseason which likely will hurt them down the road, but not enough to make a serious dent in the present. Bottom line though is the executives would be able to cover a team that has a ton of expectations this season and perhaps there could be some big changes come deadline to make a big push for the cup so it would be great to cover a team like this. So far they are meeting those expectations, losing only one game in their first seventeen and with several players having career seasons. |
