The one thing that would have to lead to us skipping any next version of FHM would be if they had decided to add a certain SimonT to their development team.
FHM7 had a bug so severe the developers didnt manage to fix it and therefore decided to go all-in on FHM8. In FHM7 team could bypass salary cap by firing their Ass-GM during the first day of free agency.
OOTP in it's infinite wisdom wanted pump up FHM sales to be a little bit close to the baseball OOTP product. So after pouring thousands of dollars into market research they landed on the thing that makes OOTP popular but not FHM. the DH. so FHM 7 includes a DH for the eastern conference teams.
FHM7 just lists that you can not choose the climate of your venue. So while all our players are used for playing on ice. They currently also need to learn to skate on concrete and/or water, as not every arena will have ice anymore.
Least appealing features of FHM7:
- There would be no goalies, only skaters. All games would be on 6v6 with empty nets and defenders needed to be good at blocking
- Only North American players are allowed and you couldn't create a player with European background
I can tell you the reasons I personally voted to skip FHM7 were because:
- they overcorrected on the goalie thing. goalie tpe mattered a lot more, but unless you had 2000+ TPE, you would give up 13 goals a game
- not enough Jims
- the girl from the ring was in there. like, if your player didn't score a goal for four games, she would come out and tell you to start scoring or you'd die in 7 days.
The most inconvenient thing would be if you hit "Auto Lines" and all the individual sliders were changed for the lines and players. That sounds familiar...

The least appealing imaginary feature of FHM7 is surely the fact that after each game all players attributes are randomized, and one player from each team is deleted from the file.
I have to imagine that FHM7 had fixed the bug that allows Maine to win a championship. HO said that this simply wont stand and completely side stepped that.
Everybody knows that seven-ate-nine. I think it's best that we disassociate ourselves with a number that would commit such a heinous act, and apparent HO agrees. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
FHM7 is getting skipped for FHM8 as while the test dimming was going on for FHM7, Hamilton started winning multiple cups again and lord knows the SHL can’t let that happen again. Thankfully FHM8 purposely makes bird teams bad, so for this I am happy!
First ever Yukon Malamute draft pick (1st overall S65)
It had the feature where it would not allow any funny names and would just censor funny and meme names as just Bob. No last name, just Bob. Plus it only let you use Real Life Teams I bet.
- the lack of a comprehensive box score is particularly concerning. I would like to know how my player performs on a game-to-game basis. Also a text-based play-by-play, or at least highlights, would be helpful as well.
