Overall nash could not be happier with how his season went. Among defenseman in the league Nash finished the season tied for third place in total goals with a staggering 15 in 66 games. For assists he finished in 5th with a total of thirty five and for points in total, he was tied for fourth with a total of fifty points. This was leading the defenseman on the Detroit Falcons, but still put him 7th in overall points for the team as a whole. With this being the last season with Detroit, Nash can hold his head high in helping to lead the time to finish sixth overall with 39 wins, 25 losses and 2 OT losses for a total of 80 points. Although on the points board this wasn’t Nash’s best season (he was just two points shy of the previous season), Nash certainly put the body down this season with a total of 19 more hits than his highest season which was his rookie season in the SMJHL with a total of 148 hits.
Written Task: Tell me about how your season went. Did you exceed expectations? Is regression starting to bite? Did you set a new career high? Did your team do better or worse? How did you factor there? What are your hopes for the playoffs - this year or next? (150+ words)
This was a strange season for me. I was hoping that I would pop off and go kind of crazy because defenders don't need a ton of TPE to be effective, but what actually happened was that it was another mediocre season. I didn't crack top 50 in fantasy rankings and I barely registered on my team as a top defender. Solid second line which is where I stand. In terms of the team, we actually performed a bit worse than last season and barely scraped by into the playoffs. Then again, we seem to be developing into quote the playoff team and we're still going. So the question remains what kind of change do we need to go from good to great? I don't think my offensive talent will grow anymore but I hope to be a force of defensive nature in the years to come.
This season really blew by for me it was somewhat of a blur. Honestly I'm a little disappointed with how almost disassociated I was from my team and the league this season. My team I'd say did a little worse this season, we made the SMJHL playoffs again but got eliminated in the first round unfortunately. I definitely think, while I may not have been the one and only reason why we did worse, I really didn't help by not putting in much effort into this season. I got a lot more games in and was able to score some points, and at the end of the day I didn't have the sort of impact on the games or the season as a whole as I may like to have. I'm zoning back in for the next season to come, I have a lot higher hopes, especially as I start to settle in with my team even more. I think I can be a viable player with a lot of potential in the coming season and I wanna do my best to make that possible.
I think overall I had a successful first season in the SHL. To start off my career, I wasn’t expecting to be the best player on the team and just wanted to contribute and help my team win games, and I think I was able to do that. Realistically my goal was to put up about 0.5 PPG, and I exceeded that, getting 44 points in 66 games this season.
On top of that, I believe I had a pretty good post season as well. It’s definitely not the post season we would have hoped for as we got eliminated in the second round at the hands of Seattle, but putting up 6 points in 9 games is pretty solid, including scoring 5 goals. The playoffs were tough, and it’s not easy going out there against the best players in the league for a whole series, but I think this was a great stepping stone season for me and I’ll only continue to get better.

Player: Petr Svoboda
In my nearly nine years on the site, never have I made a consistently great player at the SHL level. Dionyz Vyskoc was my last success, my last max-earning player, but he spent most of his career as a depth forward and his best season was 44 points in 50 games for 0.88 points per game. This season, Petr reached new heights. 98 points in 66 games. 59 goals for third in the league. This season, he passed Dionyz's career points total which officially makes Petr my pride and joy. This is the first season Petr has found his goal-scoring ability bear fruit and I could not be more proud. This was Petr's first regression season and I somehow managed to snag 2k TPE just prior to the deadline, but now the race is on for IIHF gold as time is running out.
Petr is approach point per game in his career now. I can only hope his lackluster IIHF career turns around and he can help give Czechia all he can.

This season was another season not to write home about. After a disappointing finish to last season, I was hoping we would be able to turn in around and get some momentum behind the team. It was a very rocky season, with many ups and downs. However Kondos failed to find any productivity again this season, always lagging behind his line mates. Going into the playoffs we found ourselves in a game 7 match up, which we probably should have ended the series earlier, however we found a way to win. Going up against winnipeg we found ourselves tied after 4 games, but that would be the last time we would see the win column as we lost the next 2 games to lose in 6.
There is no hiding it for Kondos, regression is here. Regression is hitting hard, and it will be another long off season deciding if I should continue playing, or hang up the skates. Only time will tell.
Well it has sure been a tough season here in LA, as we're still paying for the success we had just several seasons ago. Things were no different for Svoboda as his last season before regression was ultimately a disappointing one.
A dip in offensive production saw Svoboda putting up just slightly under a point per game at 64 points in 66 games. His 35 goals were actually not too shabby either. Defensively things were much different, as he put up a dismal -53, putting him near the bottom of the league in that regard. It's no surprise that he took out his frustrations by hitting is opposition a league leading 182 times.
As far as the team went, well the goal was to tank this year so it's difficult to measure success. Only 17 wins and a -130 goal differential tells us they certainly did not do well on the ice. Unfortunately the team lost a position in the draft lottery and don't even get to choose in the top 3 to make up for their season. We're still feeling confident for the future, however, so it will be exciting to see how the next few seasons play out.
The season was ultimately a disappointment. The knights had a lot of returning talent and were in the top 3 for average TPE in the SMJHL. Building off the success of last season, it was expected the Knights would do a lot better than they did. Unfortunately, the knights were a below average team, finishing 9th in the league and 3rd in their division. They entered the playoffs against the 8th seeded Yukon, a team that held the exact same record as Kelowna, but with a worse goal differential. Much like last year, the Knights disappointingly sputtered out in game 7 to lose the series 4-3. Though the knights got on the board first that game, it would be their only goal of the game as Yukon put three in the back of the net to end Kelowna's season. The knights definitely took a step backward but hope to emerge from this disappointing season with a lot of lessons learned to apply them for next year
My season, from a team perspective has gone as well as I could have hoped so far. Last season I won as a rookie on the Forge, and we are currently heading into the third round of the playoffs with a serious chance to repeat. Though it will be difficult as there are some very good teams remaining. Individually, however, I haven't made as good a stride as I would have hoped. Defensively I have remained similar, maybe made a small improvement, but offensively I was hoping to be a bit more of a play driver. I did make some adjustments towards the end of the season and scored a handful of goals to close out the year and look better in that category, I think overall I had a fairly weak offensive season compared to what I thought I could. I would have liked to see some underlying numbers improve, but I guess I should be happy with the offensive production going up a bit.

I am very happy with this season. I was sure I would do well but I wasnt expecting for so many of my points to be goals. With 40 goals and 53 assists I was the tied for the top spot on Colorado before I get kicked out. I ended the season taking the all times points record for Colorado, one point ahead of Erik Bergmark, but he got the all time goals record so it evens out. Also with our last season in the J coming to a close, Adrian O’Rugg and Erik Bergmark also finished leading our draft class in points as number one and two respectively through the J. This is a superior stat because it can never change, and we will be the best forever. Playoffs went to shit but I am very happy overall with how my time in the J went. Looking forward to getting called up and seeing what kind of damage we can do on a very up and coming Baltimore team
P2- As player for Anchorage in the J, this season did not go as well as we had hoped. It can be frustrating when a team doesn't meet expectations, but it's important to remember that there are always lessons to be learned from tough seasons.
It's possible that regression played a role in our team’s performance this year, as we lost some key players to the big leagues but it's also important to remember that every team goes through ups and downs. As a player, it's important to focus on your own individual growth and development, regardless of how the team is doing overall.
Although the team may not have had a great season, it's always exciting to have the opportunity to compete in playoffs. Winning two games in playoffs is a great accomplishment, especially considering the team's struggles throughout the regular season. This shows that the team was able to come together and perform when it mattered most.
Looking towards the future, it's important to use this season as a learning experience and focus on areas where the team can improve. As a player, it's important to continue to work hard and strive for personal improvement, which will ultimately benefit the team as a whole. So that will be my major goal this off season, is to become a stud and carry the team.
My last season in the SMJHL with Quebec City Citadelles did not go as well as I had hoped for. Personally, Minaj had an average year compared to his previous years and never quite recaptured the magic of his rookie year. He had career-worst stats in +/- and PIM while also losing his first professional fight. However what stung the worst was the team's performance this year. As a four year player, Minaj wanted to help lead the Citadelles to a repeat winning the Four Star Cup. They were able to make the playoffs but it was due to the structure of the conferences as Quebec City had a bottom-four record in S70. There were some positives to the year as Minaj did hit career highs in PPP, takeaways, and blocks. Minaj looks forward to the next stage in his career as he joins Minnesota Monarchs and hopes to bring the Challenge Cup back to hockey town.
