S70 mPT #5: Rising Stars

It’s gotta be Strom Chamberlain for us in Calgary. The guy just doesn’t seem to age, he was playing incredibly well this season and was a huge reason for a lot of our victories. While he may be into his regression, you would never be able to tell by watching him play.

Edmonton is a fairly young team with a few upcoming stars like Benjamin Surkhi-Ze'ev and Luke Laraque who continue to impress me along with the recent additions over the past couple seasons. I cannot single out any one person as standing out, everyone on Edmonton is amazing Blizzard

I was really impressed with Patya Perevalov (@natedoeshockey) this season, he put the team on his back with a 46 goal, and 91 points. Look for him to continue this in S71.

I'm really impressed by everyone who is in Regina team. They all are learning things fast and play good even they are just juniors. So I love all of them and we are growing as a team together.

My friend @CrazyMojito is the rookie who impressed me the most. As the player who’s gonna be my center for the rest of my career it’ll be fun to keep playing with him

Welcome to the hall, Ben!

As a defenseman you always stare in shock and awe at the bravery of the player on your team that time and time again steps in front of shots. Nathan Meagher this season took a staggering 236 pucks to the body this season. The guy is a beast and somehow can just shrug it off and keep going.

Cup Noodle had an amazing season. He was right up there with the top players and isn't even in the 2k range. He's going to shine next season.

The New England forward core hit new strides this season. While last season may have been better standings-wise for the WolfPack, the leading scorers were Jager and Lacksamus in the 80's, and Koivu and Svoboda in the 70's.

This season, Koivu eclipsed the 100 point mark, and both Svoboda and Lacksamus hit 98.

Hmmm I think I'd have to say Scud's impressed me the most on my team. His presence in net has been the backbone of QCC in many ways and he's won a special place in my heart as the genuine and kind sweetheart he is. Not to mention his great taste in music as well :3

Robin is ofcourse the strongest person on his team, there is no other strongman like him. He is also the most impressive, because he is so strong.

For New Orleans, Patya Perevalov finally had the season we all knew he was extremely capable of. And rookie Filip Lund came in and played excellent defense right away. And even in his millionth season, goalie Jon St. Ark continues to do excellent things in net for us.

Dave Henrich continues to build a strong resume with back to back strong seasons. Also some how old man marner continues to put up numbers close to a point per game.

I will forever and always be amazed and impressed with QCC's entire S70 class. They came in swinging as rookies, and they didn't slow down very much on a much more depleted team this season. I can't wait to see what they all do when they make the jump to their respective SHL teams.

For me the easy answer is Adam Prpich who put up a very impressive 69 points in 66 games in his rookie season. Should have a good shot at rookie of the year hopefully!

Logan Webb stepped up huge for the knights, on the ice, but more importantly he is an absolute gem in the locker room and makes everything much more enjoyable
