Sydney Shaw cares the most about few things in life. They expect a working popcorn machine in the locker room (bonus points if there are multiple to find throughout the player areas) , fully stocked at all times, of course. Many swear by pickle juice shots, some even swear by yellow mustard. Not Sydney, they swear by extra salty popcorn. Freshly air popped just taste much better, and you can control the amount of butter and salt to max the utmost perfect popcorn. This would boost player satisfaction and even player on ice productivity. Sydney would also like to see the lockers made out of cherry wood because it smells the best and looks pretty. Sydney would also love to see a few private bathrooms separate from the showers area. This is because sometimes people need to poop in peace and not where everyone is showering so then the steamy showers just stink. That is all the demands... I mean requests.

Player Prompt:

I think when it comes to amenities and features in an arena, for Jonas the most important things would all have to do with the arena being modernized. It doesn't always necessarily have to be the latest and greatest, most expensive new equipment, but it shouldn't hinder Joans from getting what he wants to get done done and also enhance whatever he and the team are trying to do. Most important would probably be a very good and cozy home locker room and high quality ice as that is where joans would spend the majority of his time. Next would probably be a weight room with all the equipment he and his teammates would need. Good quality kitchen and washrooms would be important as well, and things like the film room equipment and such would also be important. Of maximum importance would of course be the arena goal horn as joans will have to hear that every time he snipes one so it would have to be something he enjoys listening to of course!

Creative Prompt

So I don't know much about Vancouver, at all, even though I've been playing here for four seasons. But the Southlands is probably a good place for an arena and it would be good to build businesses around it. It would remove the arena from the city and allow people to drive there rather than rely on public transportation. I have no idea if this is a good or a bad thing but I'm not paying for it so I don't really care. As for what the arena would be called, I think the only appropriate name would be the Ashford Arena, since I'm the one who got it built at no cost to the team. You'd think I'd let the people vote on it but that's not how things work. So the location would be wonderful along with the name. It would attract great crowds, the biggest crowds you've ever seen. It might set the attendance record for crowds.

Jiggle E. Puff does not require many amenities to be happy with the team's facilities. He is a consummate professional that will show up and work hard as long as his few demands are met. Mr. Puff does not care about things like weight rooms, cafeterias, or locker rooms. What he does care about is film rooms and showers. As a internationally renown singer songwriter one man band. Jiggle E Puff needs ample shower space to practice his newest songs and routines. He needs way more than a shower stall, but also some privacy so he does not get embarrassed if he makes mistakes. Jiggle E Puff wants a high quality film room so that after his teammates and coaches go home, he can both re watch his own performances and also prepare for his side gig of being a judge for Kanto's Got Talent! Also ideally the film room can be turned into an auditorium so he can perform for his teammate.

Prompt 2

Jimmy Wagner is pushing for only a few new amenities:

Enough massage tables for the whole roster, so that every player won't be hindered in loosening up between periods or after games.
In building professional kitchen for pre-game meals so that everyone is appropriately fueled for games and practices.
Lounge and dining space separate from the locker room to facilitate the meals.
Adjacent nap room with soundproofing so that those who want to zone out pre-game can do so.

When asking Kate what she'd like to see, she lamented that the old school four sided jumbotrons were still the norm in sports. Drawing inspiration from The House that Jerry Built, Kate looked for additional screens up above the ice in the corners so that the lower priced tickets had a better experience and ability to see the ice. These would be positioned over each corner of the rink, facing the upper bowls of the arena.

Ricky Koivu was looped into the planning for Philadelphia's new arena, dubbed The Foundry in early drafting plans for it. They wanted input from core players for things that could be added to make it the best attraction possible. Koivu said that having quiet rooms would help potentially, if the atmosphere of a game is too overwhelming it would be nice to have an area for fans to have a more relaxing experience. Players could benefit from having something similar attached to the locker room, so they have access to a bit of a decompression area. In the case of Koivu, he would use the room to read and reflect on how to improve his game. Furthermore, Koivu wanted the team to have a luxury cheese room as part of the VIP experience, because "all good teams need a luxury cheese room". The Philly owners and stadium planners said they would consider the cheese room suggestion, but really were just confused by it and scrapped the idea as soon as the meeting was over. (175 words)

My player is very big on the rowing machine, he strives to have the biggest legs in the game and rowing is a big part of it. Another reason is that just in case there is a zombie apocalypse he would be able to just get in a row boat and row anywhere in the world super easily. There should be a room with one of those cool golf virtual machines so that he can get more prepared for the offseason.  Along with this there MUST be fried chicken available at a moments notice, preferably with some classic baja blast. Some pluses would be a movie theater for the players as well as a sensory deprivation tank so that he can achieve his inner chi. For everyone’s safety there must by no circumstances be a pool table after ‘the incident’. All in all Adrian is a simple man with simple tastes so it should be easy enough to accommodate him in any arena.

Brick Wall doesn't tend to be too picky when it comes to stadium amenities. Most of his requirements come pretty standard, at least in terms of professional hockey stadiums. As far as weight rooms go, Wall isn't looking for anything special. Mainly, he just wants a nice stationary bike to get the blood pumping. He's not a big weight lifting guy (most goalies don't seem to be.) Wall does love having the in-house kitchen with staff in Montreal, though. He doesn't expect to have that amenity on the road, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't make good use of it back in Montreal. Having access to world-class chefs at anytime is a hard thing to pass up on. As far as the film room goes, all he needs is an iPad and a comfy chair. Basically, if you hear someone complaining about amenities, it's a safe bet it's not Brick.

To be honest, Chimkin Wing doesn't really know much about the city of Buffalo, however I am sure there is some sort of fancy pants district with maybe a fancy out door mall and maybe a bunch of nice restaurants. That would probably be a really nice place to put the new arena. Of course, the arena will be named the Fig Newton Arena For Hockey Players Who Are Good At Simulated Hockey. I think that really rolls of the tongue and has a great ring to it. Fig Newton offered to shell out 2% of the money for the arena, which is more than those bastards at Chips Ahoy offered. The Keebler Elves are dead to me. Anyway, like I said, either he fancy district or perhaps near the Niagra falls would be a really cool place to have the arena. Though a baseball stadium would be a lot cooler since you won't be able to see the falls from inside the arena, maybe like a big glass wall in the concourse facing the falls could be something we could do.

Player prompt

All I would really like to see is for the team to make sure that the player, staff and fans in attendance have everything they would need to fully enjoy the game to its maximum potential. For the players, a top notch training facility and locker room. These are pretty much a given in almost all new construction, but make sure it’s on the list. Upper management is always taken care of so I don’t need to say anything about that. Staff has all the best equipment and offices to perform their duties to a high standard and enjoy doing it. I would also like a large family area with everything a number of families of the team and staff can enjoy. And for the fans, everything. You like sitting in a pool eating the game? Resort pool in the arena. You like watching it at the bar? The worlds largest sports bar. You like watching the game while fucking? An adult only orgy zone, where you can just bone whoever shows up and signs the consent form.

Arenas and stadiums today are so much more than the court or ice rink themselves. The amenities and features required to support the talent is often more sophisticated and fancy than the public facing portions of the arena. Andreas Kvalheim, having played professional hockey for twenty plus seasons as a member of the Texas Renegades in the Simulation Hockey League, has seen all sorts arenas all around North America and developed an apppreciation for what features makes a good arena. First, the arena must have a top notch kitchen or cafeteria. You are what you eat, and for athletes, the ability to operate at peak performance usually starts with their choice of food. Having a good kitchen, and especially a good chef, can make all the difference. Next, an arena must have a comfortable film room. Given the amount of time spend watching video, the film room needs to be a place where players can easily spend hours on end.

Understanding that the SHL team from Los Angeles is called the Panthers, it is only fitting that the location of their next arena be close to the Los Angeles Zoo. Granted not much free land is available in the neighborhoods close to this venue, I think it is only fitting that we decide to yeet everyone elsewhere, expropriation is the name of the game! When you think of it, what makes you more happy : some generic looking houses in a life-less suburb of one of the biggest cities in the world, or a place to celebrate the mighty Panther with good food, drinks, exciting on-ice experiences and some great shows, the choice is obvious! In an. effort to stay consistent with this new theme the team is aiming for, I think the barn should be referred to as The Zoo, but when it comes to its official name, the Whole Foods Arena is probably a good idea to reflect the hipster nature of the city and its concentration of hippy folk.
