This is not a long Media but it is just to get my thought across
So everything i see in this league is that it is driven by offense stats. But maybe you could consider this. How many rookies are in any of the League Top Ten stats? Not going into a real look into it there isn't any. Except for one. He is on a "bad" team and is not a offensive powerhouse. The Only Rookie on any top ten this year as far as i can verify is Nik Smith. Now it is stat that people would say is not super important but it is a tracked stat for the league. And let alone it is not like He is 10th in the top ten this year in his first season in the League. He is Top 5 (As of this writing) at number 5. Now i know people wont look at this and Jump to the side of giving the award to a guy who shows that he can hang with the vets a Hodor and eventually get up to his leading numbers. But again as a rookie being one of the best players in the entire League at doing this has to show something. And maybe the committee and voting participance will give a defensive guy a shot at winning the award. And my not focus on those goals and assists. Since he has stopped 253 of them this year.
