German has a word "angstschweiß" which has eight consonants in a row. There are a few others that do this like "Gesichtschleier" or "Rechtsschrift". The main difference though is that German combines "sch" into one sound, giving German that advantage as those three consonants really only make one sound. Past that, there is "Borschtsch", a non-composite german word that uses 8 consonants in a row.
