Written Option 2: Offseason is almost over and team training camp just over the corner. How does your player prepare during these last weeks before team is put back together. Is it time for rest to so you can endure the long season to come, do they ramp up their gym practises or maybe do some special technical training to further improve their skills to make the next step during their career or keep fighting the inevitable aging? How do they spend their last few weeks before team training camp?
So far the off-season has been a pretty calm one for Furious Chicken, having gotten into the first line last season he slowly got to learn to keep up for the whole game, but right before the training for the new season started again he got to hear his first line teammate went to another team. Knowing his pre-season training would for a big part be about learning to play together with a new linemate, it meant that Chicken would be doing some simple exercises before the actual pre-season started to keep his fitness in a decent enough level for the season to come. This was made slightly easier by the IIHF tournament taking place between the two seasons, meaning the time in between the season was cut down a fair bit. After the few weeks of making sure his fitness stayed on a good enough level, it meant that it was finally time for the pre-season and thus actual training to begin once again. 165 words

Once upon a time, Jarrod Lakemore was a bright eyes and bushy tailed young rookie that just loved going to fan events or doing autograph sessions and would always agree to do them for the team. But after several seasons of doing it, it did start to grow old on him. Now as a grizzled veteran, with his body and mind more in need of a break than ever before, he instead tries to limit how often he does these events and now will try to find ways to weasel his way out of attending. To achieve this, he has found the simplest solution to appease the GM is to be able to offer up a replacement to take his place at the event. While certainly Lakemore isn't a believer in rookie hazing, he does know that there certainly are benefits to being a seasoned veteran in the league. So naturally he'll call one of the rookies up and offer him the exciting opportunity to attend this fan event. And let's be honest, the rook will enjoy it way more than Lakemore would going to his 100th fan session. (192 words)

It was a brisk June morning when Ongo Gablogian got the call from his general manager.
“It is already time to start training camp!? Shit. I haven’t done a single thing to make myself better at all.” Ongo sat on his couch in his living room staring at the sandwich crumbs that had collected on his gut. At a towering 4 foot 11 inches tall, Ongo must have gained no less than 20 pounds of pure all American fat over the off season, and honestly totally forgot he was a “professional” hockey player until Seven called him that morning. Ongo fessed up to this fact and Seven was understandably pretty pissed. However, Ongo used the age old “stay at home defenseman” strategy and it seemed to work. “You didn’t sign me to score goals or deke players, sir. Or my soft hands. Or my hockey IQ. Or my good looks. I am a stay at home defenseman. When a player gets near me with the puck I just hit them or whatever. Extra weight is a good thing.” Sigs by Me, Merica, High Stick King, Rum_Ham, Jess, vulfzilla, enigmatic, and Carpy

Registered Posting Freak Code: Written Option 1: Your player has been enjoying their well deserved rest until they get the call from their general manager that they need to do some marketing or take part in meet and greet, Niclas Sundqvist is a hard working member of his new team Manhattan Rage and wants to make a good impression for his rookie season. It is difficult to make a place as a face of the franchise this early in one's career but Sundqvist has already seen some success in proving he's a valuable member of multiple teams, quickly gaining influence and being recognized as someone with a bright future. Of course, having a bit more vacation time and relaxing times before all the SHL stress comes into his life would be right, but Sundqvist does not feel that he has earned the right to do so yet. So, together with some of the other teammates and especially the rookies in the Rage, Niclas Sundqvist takes part in some meet and greets and has a great time building ties with the local fan-bases as well as his new teammates. They all agree, the season cannot start soon enough. [158 words]

Written Option 2:
As the end of the off-season approaches, Elvar Gil-Galad has accomplished as much training as is possible and is definitely ready for the sophomore season of his career. Hoping to get the starter nod in just his second season, Elvar has a lot to prove. A four-star cup may be slightly out of reach for the Grizzlies this year, but after all, miracles can happen. With some fantastic rookie pick-ups in the draft who will likely be top earners, this season is the one to get stuff sorted out. If the pre-season is any indicator, the Grizzlies have learned to score! A couple more rounds of golf and a few days of enjoying the beautiful Montana skyline is on Elvar's to-do list, then its all business when the season starts. The road to the four-star is long but every journey begins with a single step. Trains are equal to gains!

It’s been a very busy offseason with Agate entering her final SMJHL season. She’s got a lot of work to do to get back into domination mode, after a long, and truly exhausting season. Her elbows and knees are still aching quite a bit, but her wrists and her mouth seem to be doing alright. So when the GM came a-calling, Agate was ready to sign some autographs and talk to some fans young and old. She knew her share of mojitos would still be available, and Agate has never been great with animals, let alone the ones from the freakish wastelands down under. There’s not really much else she would be doing other than going to the gym or the rink, and to be honest that gets old some days. Better to get the people ready for her SHL career in Seattle and get some faces to names in the big world of hockey, and maybe bring some jersey sales with her across the country.

Adam Liebold gets the call that he needs to complete a meet and great with some fans on 4th of July weekend. Unfortunatly he has a golf tourument with some college friends that weekend, but he doesn't want to let the team down. His suggestion is a comprimise with the organization he will sign memoriblia to give to the dedicated fans and send them personalized messages in the form of short clips. This was accepeted by the team, so Adam began the task of creating two hundred and fifty personalized videos while he was still on vacation. He would have to film this video's in between golf shots on the course. It started to get on the nerves of his old friends as they just wanted to have a good time and enjoy the good weather. Evently he was able to complete the clips and relax in paradise for the rest of the off season.

Option 2:
As I am getting older, the right preparation becomes more important each and every year. It's a simple and depressing fact that your body, while still capable of top performances, doesn't regenerate as quickly and you need to be more deliberate both about your physical preparation and the rest that you give yourself. You don't necessarily need to do more (or less) in certain areas, it just needs to be a more concious process because unlike a 20-year old, you can't just turn up to practices and games without sparing too much of a thought on the time between those. So in regards to preparation for the season, I definitely have to start working out early but it is much more about consistency than about being a super rigorous program. When you reach a certain age, you can't just drop your physical regiment for months and then pick it back up, you need to stick to it throughout the off-season, just at a lower level that allows more room for relaxation.

Prompt 2:
Emeric Gagner knows he already has a position lined up for him in LA, and he'll be paid millions once he gets there. He knows he's made it already, so what purpose is there to training more? He knows he's good enough to make it to the big leagues, so from here on out he's decided to just coast along as much as he can. This means there will be no special ways to prepare for this upcoming season. If anything, he'll be skipping training camp and come up with an excuse good enough to convince his coach he doesn't need to be there. One thing he will likely do is meet all his new teammates, as there are quite a lot of them. From there he will likely try to convince them to party or take things easy as well. To say he's a bad influence on his teammates is an understatement. Hopefully at least he'll make up for it with his play this season. 166 words

Preparation seems routing these days for Bender Junior as he approaches is regression season. It really comes down to routine though. Seasons can get long in the SHL so when you are trying to maintain a healthy vigor on the ice it is making sure you are getting rest, eating right and making sure you are getting the training in. Some players are great at a narrowed focus of the game, but I feel like on defense you have to do many things well and it takes even more to do it at the level the SHL asks for. These forwards these days are a heavy presence in the crease and you have to be able to move them out on demand. Not getting in your preparation reps means you let your team down and that doesn't cut it on a team that is coming out of seasons of rebuilding.

Willow is well known for not being a sociable person who tends to not enjoy media scrums and similar, so I don’t think she’d particularly enjoy the phone call. So when the market representative calls her while she’s on vacation in Australia she will simply just keep sending them to voicemail immediately, to her voicemail inbox which is conveniently full of all the previous calls from the same marketing representative. This engages Protocol Angry Bird – which is the team code in San Francisco for when the team needs to converse with Willow without angering her and having her vanish from public eye for another two weeks. Usually this is resolved by GM Caleb Hayden calling her on their private phone line and negotiating with her to return for a variety of different offers – most often consisting of Chipotle bowls and silly hats that Caleb will wear in interviews, but eventually she will return.

Option 2: Zedward is definitely ready to ramp up his training and workouts. Zedward has been following the Tom Brady and Cristiano Ronaldo diet and workout regimes, and is prepared to double the sets (if needed). But the most important aspect is the new mental side of the game. Zedward has begun visiting various Hindu temples and practicing meditation to fully unlock his chakras. Zedward already has felt a difference in his day to day life. But now it's time to apply these concepts on the ice. Zedward is beginner to feel calmer and more locked in, rather than tight and tense from his first couple seasons. Zedward is hoping this especially opens up his offensive side of the game and contributing more going forward. Time will tell, but Zedward is prepared to make a big leap in his 3rd season for Hamilton. Lastly, Zedward has also began wearing socks inside out for good luck.
