Slowpoke always enjoys getting to interact with the fanbase. The phone call isn’t surprising to him as he’s gotten a bit of a reputation from the Newfoundland coaching staff that he can be depended on for situations like this. Slowpoke isn’t the most active player and his social life is nonexistent so he finds himself being volunteered for meet and greets. He’s grown to like them though as he’s gotten a bit of a cult following due to his aloof demeanor. He’s hoping this fanbase will following him to Buffalo once called up as he looks forward to meeting with the fans and the gifts they bring him. Slowpoke is often at home just hanging out so it hasn’t been too uncommon that when a player flakes on his contractual obligations Slowpoke has been able to step in. While he can’t get anything in addition to his contract in terms of payment the front office always does a great job of making sure his time is respected and this is usually accomplished through snacks and merchandise that he can hand out or take home.

As intense as Valerija Serapin can be and as much as the Gm doesn't want to bother this intimidating woman, she is always willing to jump into the spotlight when the team needs it. For her just being able to play ice hockey professionally and not be suffering on the streets or worse is a gift unto itself. That is what papa Arūnas made sure she understood before she left to play in the SMJHL. That this time in the spotlight is a gift that will go away sooner that you are ready for. Enjoy this moment and don't waste it. That is why she is a regular at team events and often subs in for a player who can't or won't attend. That and she doesn't like golf anyway. Teammates convinced he to go on a team golf outing and it didn't go well.

Dominik definitely took a well deserved rest after helping San Francisco to win the Challenge Cup for the first time in franchise history. That rest, of course, came after several long days of partying, championship parades, speeches, award ceremonies, the whole 9 yards really as the city turned out well for their first title. After that, however, it was back to the gym, the rink, and track and the rowing tank to try to improve further as another season of SHL hockey was around the corner. The last remnant of the previous season being Dominik’s day with the Cup, those previous season’s memories quickly became the framed celebration photo and personalized miniature Cup on his mantle. Rings and the banner raising would come later, but Dominik wanted to make sure to do everything that he could in order to avoid suffering from the Cup hangover that plenty of previous players and teams had experienced over the years.

Bernard Lodge is more than willing to play ball with team management when it comes to sponsorships and events, however he is a tad confused as to why a team with so many brilliant skaters would ask their goalie of all people; and a rather reserved goalie at that. He prefers to spend his off-seasons at home in England, so if they have anything to do across the pond he is much happier to take care of that to grow the global reach of his beloved New Orleans Specters. He doesn't really plan on doing much besides resting and practicing during his off-season anyway.
The thing most likely to get Lodge to leave the house is any event that involves the youth. He loves to mentor those who wish to learn about the game he loves, even moreso if they wish to become goal tenders. Lodge would even try to recruit some of his international team mates to help out.

With the off season coming to an end, Lyle Odelein IV is doing everything he can to make sure he is 100% ready to go for the upcoming S77 in the SMJHL. Lyle definitely kept himself busy after the Anchorage Armada were elimenated from the playoffs. After that loss, Lyle went right back to the rink to make sure he kept himself in game shape for the WJC. After a dissapointing showing for Lyle and Team Canada Red, Lyle took a much needed and deserved break from hockey realated activities. The break didn't last long, they typically don't, but he was able to put his feet up and do absolutely nothing. Something he had really been looking forward to. With the season opener in plain site, Lyle feels he is in the best shape and head space of his career and although that career hasn't been going on all that long just yet, he know this season, like each season before and each season to come, will be the most important seasons of Lyle Odelein IV's career. sig by @Bruins10

Most people have suggested that Shawn Pawn to rest and do some relaxing before the beginning of the grind for the simulation hockey league season begins. However Shawn Pawn was much of a tool growing up and always listened to what he was told and was a team player. As he has grown Shawn Pawn has become a little bit of a contrarian and has begun to do things his way. So instead of resting he decided to go with a few buddies of his to go white water rafting and they decided to head to West Virginia to tackle one of the most intense rivers east of the Mississippi and take on the Gauley River. The trip went off without a hitch, aside from the adrenaline fueled experience of doing the actual rafting, a notable highlight was when they were on the bus to go to the head of the river the tour guide said, "if this is the first time you're going rafting, this would be like losing your virginity to a porn star." This caused an eruption of laughter from everyone.

Shoyo Hinata is an old guy at this point. He is just grateful to still play hockey professionally. So he does not really train during the summer, even in the weeks leading up to the season. He takes it chill, smokes some meats, play beach volleyball in his summer beerleague. He knows that he is good and that he can still bring a lot to the team, but he also knows that he cant win a fight against aging. He will try his best during the season, but for Shoyo Hinata training is over. He wont goes to the weight room. He wont run 10km everyday like he use to do. He wont do 100 pushups and situps. He will just have fun and enjoy the remaining of his career. He will still show up at practive with the hope to show the youngins how hockey is played. He still aims to be a point per game player in the next 2 seasons.

SMJHL HO PEANUT! Code: Offseason is almost over and team training camp just over the corner. How does your player prepare during these last weeks before team is put back together. Is it time for rest to so you can endure the long season to come, do they ramp up their gym practises or maybe do some special technical training to further improve their skills to make the next step during their career or keep fighting the inevitable aging? How do they spend their last few weeks before team training camp? Early offseason when you're eliminated from the playoffs is always a solid time to relax and reflect on how things went for you during the season and also a prime time to talk with coaches and trainers to see what areas are worth improving on. For J.P., this offseason was a huge one. After taking a bit of a hiatus to get his affairs in order, he made the big move from Great Falls to Montreal for the big debut. It is such a stacked rookie class this year that his trainers and he himself knew it would be a tough fight for a coveted "Rookie of the Year" award, among other things. So with the last couple weeks closing in before the first puck drop of the season, it was back to work...hard work for the humanoid peanut in order to get mentally and physically prepared for the big leagues. As we have all learned, playing with the big kids is nowhere like playing with the juniors.

Off-season is winding down and we are gearing up for another hockey season. There’s been a lot of work put into development this season. At this stage in my career, I take a couple steps back, and one step forward in the off-season. It’s all about trying to build up that ability that has been lost over the off-season. It’s manageable now, but the signs of getting old are evident. Pre-season has gone well for the team, and we’re in high spirits. This could be a bounce back season for the Los Angels Panthers. I don’t think now is really the time to take a break and rest, it’s all about keeping the gas pedal down and going strong. I feel like if you take a break at this point in the off-season you might be setting yourself up to get a little rusty. At this point in my career, I do not want to start any season off rusty and underperforming. It’s all about starting strong out the gate.

Disappointment rings for Nathan Abel, I play in two leagues and I am a professional baseball player for the San Antoino Sloths and after a Cinderella run, they lost in the finals. After that heartbreaking loss he has to pick up his skates lace them up and relearn to play hockey. Skating at first is rough at first but I pick it up again quickly and my body is conditioned the problem is that I'm tired I might be physically fine but my muscles my brain is starting to give out. Ice, pitching, ice, pitching both are relatively simple but both are endurances challenges. Big hits, wipeout change up, and throwing a ball 90 miles an hour just weighs on a person and now I am reaching my limit but I must endure and keep pushing. It will be worth it again and if I don't do it my future self will hate myself.

Personally William Tree will not be amping up his gym sessions or getting more hours in on the ice. William will be at his house with his family for as long as he can. During the season he gets super busy to where he doesn't see his family as much as he would like. So he'll defeintly be spending these last couple of weeks still at his house where he's been all off season. He is also a huge gamer and has been enjoying all the free time he has to be playing his favorite games like Madden, Toontown, and Minecraft. He'll be ready to go by the time opening week comes around and there will be no worries on his fitness. He is excited for this upcoming season with his squad but has decided getting back into the grove of things can wait just a little bit longer

Prompt 2
Pork Tenderloin absolutely believes in the power of resting when you can and conserving energy for when you need it most. They spend most of the offseason trying to do the bare minimum to stay in shape and then once the season starts its about coasting on that baseline and using quick bursts of energy and power to exert themselves over the competition on a nightly basis. This may be why he hasn't been a super consistent player throughout his career but it is the style he's going for and he's going to do the best they can to make it work. Though I do personally hope that this season they make a real effort to take that next step forward and shine as a true superstar. The potential is there and it's all about just being in the right place at the right time to make the right plays and the right decisions.

How do they spend their last few weeks before team training camp? Jølngüštrâädüvich DuBølk has a very strict daily training regiment prior to the start of any season. Firstly, he wakes up every morning at 4:00 AM in order to beat traffic to the arena (I95 sucks ass). Afterwards, he proceeds to sleep on the ice sheet itself until 11:00 AM once practice is about half an hour in (he does not use any blankets: he just sleeps in a T-shirt). After being woken up by staff, he phones in practice (he is perfect) until about 15 minutes before, where he leaves to beat traffic (I95 still sucks ass). After he gets home, he opens the fridge to eat a full tub of full-fat ice cream while staring at a wall that was recently painted (he repaints the specific wall before preseason). He does not break eye contact. After 10 hours, he goes to bed, ready to take on the next day with renewed optimism and lactose intolerance. |
