As for the rebrand, absolutely magnificent job. Well done! Frankly I can't find a better reason to rebrand than the one given, especially considering the absolute mess that was their management situation for their initial seasons. Keeping the team where it is just for the sake of keeping them when no one involved in the team had any level of connection isn't a reason at all to me. Really happy you were able to find a compromise to keep the colors, but the rebrand is a wonderful idea. Best of luck!!
