Not much. I always thought Free Agency would be an awesome addition to these fantasy leagues. I get it means more work, but why the hell not? Otherwise, whats the point of a team budget?

The new team would need to be a winner, and generally speaking have good people in the locker room who are enjoyable to be around and talk to, since that is mostly what SHL is about.

I want LAP franchise records so free agency would be a really tough sell. If a new GM decided to go into a hard rebuild and asked me to waive my NMC for a fat trade, I'd accept and then go free agent once my contract expired. I wouldn't have the same attachment to the new team.

In order for me to test free agency, I think it would have to be a very, very big number and a locker room that I was pretty comfortable with or one of the biggest shifts in leadership in Winnipeg ever seen.

SMJHL HO PEANUT!
The last time I sought free agency was in pursuit of the Challenge Cup. Being part of a team's war-room occluded to me of the team's desire to rebuild and I knew at the time I didn't have the duration to last through it so I sought out other teams and selected via the mighty marbles.

SMJHL GM allegedly doing stuff
If a team ever came along, be it through expansion or rebrand, and who's name was the Pos Langeles Anthers, who's GM was Chitewap or Zuff perhaps, then maybe Derek would consider a move, but until then, the captain has it good in LA.

It's far too early in my career to consider free agency, and with Edmonton's great atmosphere it's difficult to see myself leaving any time soon. If it did happen it would take a drastic change in the locker room, a bunch of people that I really like in the be locker room, and probably a truckload of money.

SHL GM RIP Dangel
i would never become a free agent in SHL because i am a GM and i am forever indebted to play on my own team and if i were to join another team it'd be via trade so my team could recoup some assets. i guess technically i could step down from GMing and get traded and eventually return to atlanta via free agency if i didn't want to GM anymore @goldenglutes but that won't happen

1) A dead locker room
2) A team with no direction or show of progress - being some of the first picks of a rebuild can be exciting - but if you are 6 seasons in and still only winning 20 games - thats a no bueno.

I'm perhaps not the best person for this prompt. It did take me like 7 or 8 years before I tried free agency, and it was to join my ex-Prince George teammates in Toronto and try to have fun in my last seasons with Dio, and this season free agency was an option as I try to pursue my personal success, however no team that was better than Texas had space for a regressing 1k tpe ol me.

Well I have never been a free agent, But I think that if I was, I would seek a new team by chirping about my player and how good he is, same with posting a media thing talking about how good he is

Honestly haven't really even given free agency a thought since I'm still playing for my minor team. If a team were interested in picking me up, I would sincerely say the best way to do it is just to reach out to me. Nothing can't happen if I don't know!
