S78 mPT #0: The Myth Due: Sunday, August 11th @ 11:59 PM PST

I mean, I have had my fair share of changing teams. Activity and friends is really what would change my opinion. Plus, direction of the team. My player is not at a place to go to a team starting a rebuild

I wouldn't change my team, especially with my first player in the League. We just won the cup, and it doesn't look like the team is getting any worse anytime soon. I highly enjoy the locker room, and I think NEW is the best place for Lily to be. Smile

I wouldn't change teams. Sim leagues just doesn't really incentive free agency. I would rather enjoy the SHL with a group of friends that I know I will get along with than roll the dice on a new team.

It would require either a) my player nearing retirement in a rebuilding team and seeking for better cup chances b) bad culture/behaviour in the team/management c) my player being in their prime but in a rebuilding team. And even in those cases it would require the contract being close to an end, as otherwise the way out would be a trade request.

If William Salming would go to free agency, it must mean that Seattle Argonauts have went bankcrupt and do not own team in the SHL anymore. No other scenarios are possible.

I'm a pretty loyal person, and would not go into FA unless something really really bad happened in/to the team. Otherwise, theres no reason why I'd leave without the team getting some form of compensation.

To be honest, it would take a lot for me to really test free agency. The amount of effort Calgary has put into our rebuild and the trust boom and Possum have put into me and Tsunny make near impossible for us to leave. The closest thing we might do to free agency is a sign and trade towards the end of our careers if it's better for Calgary to ship us off for assets.

For me to go to Free Agency, one of two things woulld have to happen in Toronto. I would either need told they want to shop me around and I can help them do so by looking for someone as a sign & trade, or, there would need to be a lot of drama that I wouldnt want to be a part of. Otherwise I'm TOR 4 life. Stars

Thank you hewasajazzman, Slothfacekilla, Sulo, Frenchie, and Raymond for the sigs Smile

The idea of being courted by teams and seeing how wanted and desired you are is intriguing. There could be a variety of factors that would make me consider going the free agency route but at the end of the day, Matviy Cajabi sees himself as a one-team for his career kind of player to leave a lasting legacy for the Edmonton Blizzard.

Well the SHL is right now the only league I have been active in where I have yet to reach free agency and Dave is on pace to be just my second player to complete a career as a one team player. Genuinely feeling unappreciated by the team I am on is the easiest way for me to reach free agency, and given the way the general managers of the Chicago Syndicate have treated me throughout several transitions of leadership and a long career I highly doubt there is any risk of me feeling that way on Chicago. Genuinely at this point Dave retires when he is no longer of use to them and I will then recreate with a name as determined by an auction winner.

If Buffalo is not competing within a few seasons, I would say it may be time to pack it up. For Patey V2, it is all about winning, and if the team is not competing and making first round playoff exits every year, the end goal may never be achieved.

I love the barracuda. It would take a lot for me to leave. I would leave if management fell apart and i didnt feel confident with leadership or the direction of the team. Or at the end of my career to cup chase

Former USA Fed Head, Carolina Kraken Co-GM, Tampa Bay Barracuda GM

Xavier Beausoleil had his Free Agency experience just recently when he joined the Montreal Patriotes. We’re good! My client and I are not looking to do another run at this for a very long time if necessary!

I would probably have to leave my current GM position to be able to leave in free agency. That’s usually frowned upon to leave as a free agent when you are in the front office.
