Registered Posting Freak Quote:Free agency usually isn't really that exciting in SHL. What would it take for you to seek a new team in free agency? Or if you wouldn’t ever do so, why not? I don't think so. I like it too much in Atlanta. The only thing that could conceivably get me to find a new team is if there were major personel changes in the team and management, or if they didn't have the room for me and I still wanted to continue my career on this player.

It's either getting a cup or not getting a cup. Most likely I will not go to FA from MAN. If I do get traded in the future it is quite likely I will try out the FA however!

No idea. I have never really entertained the idea of going on free agency. That said, if I did, I would probably prefer to go to a good team for a change. Let's just say that I usually spent more time on rebuilding teams than anything else. So, you know, a decent change of pace and all that.
Player Page - Update Page Former Players: Yoshimitsu McCloud (LW, #64) - Won a Four Star Cup once, knew ninjutsu, picture editors hated him, never tried free agency Anton Harrier (LW, #90) - Won WJC gold, liked skateboarding a lot, went to the finals with Manhattan, kept his seat glued in LR

I have no plans to test free agency. I am happy in Toronto and am excited to be apart of a group of players who will hopefully bring a cup home in the near future.

I don't want Seppanen to seek free agency unless we're at the tail end of our career, Seppanen hasn't won anything, and winning a cup or something is essential to hall of fame efforts and Atlanta has no chance at making a deep run.

Denebor Milasch would really only go to free agency if there was a massive turn over in culture in the Toronto Locker room or if the team felt it was time to move on. Milasch has nothing against going to free agency, but would rather play most of his career for one team if possible.
Thank you @Ragnar for the Sig!

The only way I would ever consider testing free agency in the SHL is if I was close to some records and the Forge did not need me anymore. Otherwise, I'm PFL

I would love to try free agency some time. I didn't really restrict my SHL teams last draft because I figured I'd at least get to try FA if I ended up on a team I didn't like. Alas I ended up on WPG and that won't change until they tell me it has to

I don't get to ever leave New Orleans for the obvious reasons, and when you've GM'd as long as I have, you forget what FA is really like. But for the most part, if I COULD leave a team, it would only be when I have a player at my peak, but I'm stuck on a rebuilding team. I don't need my player to go 5-40-5 when he should be a piece on a cup winning team.

I think the only way I'd pursue FA is if the team I was on just didn't need me, either because I was too bad or they had a replacement and were fine with not getting value back for me. FA can be fun to get interest, but it's definitely very stressful too.

Would probably help to know more people around the league, but I'd really only seek FA if my locker room were particularly dead or we just didn't mesh well. If my GMs bet on me by drafting me, I don't wanna bail on them once I reach my prime.

I'm a very loyal player - even if my team sucks, I probably wouldn't openly desire free agency. A trade is fine, maybe I can help out both teams with that, but I generally just want to be as useful as possible.
It does seem like it would be fun to be a free agent though, lots of suitors!

Personally, I, like many other SHLers, are loyal to their team. The only way I would ever leave, is if they gave Gabe the keys to the franchise. We all saw what happened in his brief stint in Vancouver..

Seattle is really my best chance since joining in 2017 to finally win a cup, I'd be an idiot wanting to leave in UFA. The goalie market is also so saturated
