S78 PT #2: It Was All a Trick! Due: Sunday, August 25th @ 11:59 PM PST

binko of the koivu variety not that there are many other varieties of binko honestly i think the koivu variant may be the only variety that exists currently that i know of at least and maybe in the realm of human knowledge but that is quite hard for me to say and some would say it is potentially impossible, perchance. oh sorry i forgor where i was going with that sentence anyway binko really enjoys playing prangs on his team mates when they least expect it, for example his team mates all expect prangs from @micool132 agnes and his younger relative nathangus but they dont really expect it from binko so binko loves pranking @hotdog eel by taking off little bits of his flesh here and there without him noticing so that binko can turn eel into an incomplete food since it would be a bit mean and rude to turn him into a complete food because that would require stealing and using all of his flesh and that just doesn't seem very considerate

Have you seen soccer? And by that I mean British football? Sydney Shaw is like that, but doesn’t get caught. Embellishment GALORE. Her favorite trick is taking the puck from the opponent, then the second they reach for it back she falls. Easy tripping call. Sydney Shaw has this amazing awareness of where the refs are looking at all times. This means all the hits, how else are you supposed to get that stat up. Just have to make it not too loud or else the refs will look that way. And definitely don’t forget the shi talking. Sydney Shaw has been deemed one of the dirtiest players of the modern era. I however, this she is being smart. The league as a whole should do nothing to stop this (turn on injuries and watch chaos). Sydney doesn’t need to prevent other players from using her tricks because other players are scared of her.

Juan is very against using tricks, under handed tactics or anything against the spirit of the game to gain an advantage. He wants to win but believes it is more satisfying to win by just being better than the other team. There is nothing the league can really do to prevent these sorts of things from happening and Juan has just accepted them as part of the game.Listen when was the last time the league suspended someone for on ice play and not off ice shenanigans, they need to start giving out suspensions in the first place before they get to the sneaky underhanded stuff. To prevent other players from attempting doing these tricks on him he makes sure to send known dirty players videos of him fighting the giant latvian wild bears in Latvia before their games. These videos are obviously all hand to hand combat with no weapons, because Juan always believes in a fair fight based on skill and not tricks.

Prompt 1

Emeric Gagner is not one for pranking others, but he makes the perfect target for his teammates' schemes. He's so focused on his game that he rarely notices when someone tries to prank him. Further to that, he also never assumes that it was someone else that played the prank on him.

In his last practice with the team, someone unscrewed the lid to his water bottle, causing it to spill all over himself when he attempted to drink from it. When this happened, he sighed and exclaimed that he should be more careful next time screwing the lid on.

Another time someone stole his skates when he briefly left them unattended prior to getting ready for a practice. He immediately approached the equipment manager, head down, and explained how he must have lost his skates on the way to the rink, at which point he was handed a new pair.

His teammates will never grow tired of pranking him, meaning he will likely see many more coming his way in the future.

P1: Tony Soprano is definitely the type to pull pranks on his teammates. He enjoys lightening the mood in the locker room, especially before big games. One of his favorite pranks is the classic "tape the skates" trick. He’ll secretly tape up a teammate's skate blades just enough so they don’t notice until they step onto the ice and start slipping around. It always gets a good laugh from the rest of the team, and the poor victim usually laughs it off too, knowing it’s all in good fun.

Another prank Tony likes to pull is hiding a teammate's gear in different spots around the locker room, making them search for each piece before they can get dressed for practice. The team always knows it’s Tony when this happens, and while some teammates try to retaliate, Tony is usually one step ahead, making it hard for anyone to prank him back successfully.

Prompt 1

Sven panda loves tricks

He once got into a prank war during college. During that war a total of five hundred and Thierry three left shoes won't missing. Approximately 90 hallways were filled with glasses of water and three cars were rebuilt inside classrooms.

Since joining the steel hawks his antics have not slowed down. One time he almost got cut from the team when he somehow managed to give every person on the team a mowhawk while they were sleeping. His favorite prank of all time was when he got a fake tattoo of the steelhawks logo on his GMs face and he thought it was real for 3 days straight so far he has managed to avoid an all out prank war, however the team had to be wanted and the shenanigans had to be slowed down because they almost missed the bus when Sven had his pants super glued to the bench while they were visiting Seattle.

Using tricks to gain an advantage is just part of high level competitive sports. There are very few players that make it to this level of competition and I would imagine that there are even fewer who have made it without getting a little cheeky out on the ice. Now, of course, it goes without saying that we play within the bounds of the rulebook and are never going to do something that puts a fellow athlete in danger. But I’m not beyond little tricks on the ice (like picking up a little snow and putting it down in the skates of a player on the other team who doesn’t have their socks tucked just right. Or, I’ve also been known to sweet talk the referees from time to time and get a few calls that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. But, that’s about it. I’m not over here snowing the goalie just to get my yayas.

Thanks Jove for my sig

Elena absolutely hates players who walk the line of legality to gain an advantage. Use your talent to play fair or don't play at all like the talentless hack you are, she thinks. Hockey is at its best when people do what they're best at so even if she's on the receiving end of a particularly hard hit, she won't mind. If someone hits her or one of her teammates with the intent to do harm, she doesn't shy away from serving that player a taste of their own medicine however. She showed that in the only fight she ever took in her career (and won (and yes I will plug this fight that I won for the rest of my career in all the PTs that I write)) and would be ready to do it again, if need be. She thinks the low amount of injuries that occur in the league is an indication that the SHL takes bullshit seriously but you always have players who don't want to play fair.

Thanks @xjoverax for the sig!

Ana Söderström has never really been a prankster and she was always taught to play by the rules, but she's learned subtle ways to keep her crease clear of obstructions and ensure she has enough room to work. For example, if there's a player that she thinks is getting too close to screening her crease on several occasions, she's not above shouting in their ear to startle them, hopefully making them think twice about trying that move again. A trick that Ana tries to stop players doing to her is when those players find a way to "accidentally" bump her or spray her with snow from a sudden stop. While her teammates will deal with opponents who do that, she prefers to make sure they don't do it in the first place, so to get back at them she'll "accidentally" get them in the legs while she's trying to poke pucks away from the net. It's subtle enough that the refs wouldn't see it, but it sends a clear message to stay out of her crease.

Written Option 1:

Nathangus McExplosion plays a lot of pranks on his teamates. Just last week, nathangus entered @hotdog dreams and convinced him to trade @Renomitsu as a prang lmao. It worked so well that hotdog was mad at nathangus for doing such a stupid thing in his own dream. Another good prang is the deezs nuts setup. @Gwdjohnson and @gordo always fall for it. I know that gordo is trying to get me back and for this reason I am very suspicious of everything he says and I will forever be alert as to not get deez nutted by gordo. Maybe I will pretend to not see it coming however to let him have the satisfaction of DNing me as it would probably make him very happy and I like when my teamates are happy.

I also once pranged @goldenglutes by putting a whoopie cushion on his chair and he sat on it and everyone tought he farded lmao it was very very funny hah. I think it was golden fart.

Yeah pique boo is a big goof ball he loves playing pranks on his teammates weather that prank calling or opening they’re water bottle lids so it spills on them. But they do not react good to this pique boo always gets bullied for this and his teammates hate him but they can’t beat him up since he’s the captain right?…… well you’re wrong they always beat him up. The only one who enjoys them is Spiff since he does it with pique but doesn’t get beat up for it since he always says it was piques boos idea although they’re mostly his always pretty rude honestly. They mostly like to prank grape since they get mad the fastest and is the first one to come beat pique boo up. Should I as captain bully them back or is that not good to do as a captain thoughts? Because rn I’m just letting them punch me and I feel like punching them back but as captain I’m not sure if I should.

Written Option 2

Agent Tesla: Dave how do you feel about tricks?

Dave Heinrich: Please do not trick me.

Agent Tesla: Not from me silly. I mean in terms of hockey.

Dave Heinrich: What do you mean?

Agent Tesla: Things like flopping, getting away with violence where the ref can't see, et cetera.

Dave Heinrich: I am not a fan. While I understand the need to do everything in your power to help the team win the rules are there for a reason and I think we should abide by them.

Agent Tesla: Reasonable answer now double bonus how do you think the league should limit such things and how do you personally prevent people from pulling such tricks against you?

Dave Heinrich: Well the answer to the former is essentially the same as the answer to the latter. I don't think players tend to pull that with me out of fear of you, and I think if you inflicted more fear on the league at large that this problem would ultimately go away.

Agent Tesla: That is probably true, but there is this thing called the Geneva Convention that I do believe prevents me from acting in this fashion.

Dave Heinrich: You strapped me to a wheel of nightmares for a week once and that still might be the scariest thing I have heard you say.

Agent Tesla: Thank you!
