1. CW Trivia - Smokes - 3TPE

2. 107 words - 2 TPE

Based on those stats alone, I would say yes, Los Angeles has a big advantage over Tampa even though they have led the regular season in goals and points all season long, but we all know that play-off hockey is very different than the regular season, the player gives it their all when everything is on the line. Even though LA has 4 players with more or are tied in points than Tampa's top scorer, hockey is a team game that requires everyone to be firing on all cylinders, so while it is nice to have a big scoring advantage, being well rounded is also very important.

Task 1 – 3 TPE

Task 2 – 3

6. I think the season for me was pretty good. I was over a PPG (69 points, nice), which is always something that’s nice to see. On top of that, I am here to make sure that I can help the team in all situations, so I sometimes do not get the offensive output you’d want to see simply because I’m playing in areas typically players don’t want to play in. We have a ton of talented players on the team so being a guy that can let them worry about offense and do their thing while I take the harder matchups/roles is more than enough. It paid off, considering we were able to hoist the Challenge Cup. There’s not much else to say about the season overall considering we finished at the top and won it all. Stats were good individually and I’m excited to help the team any way I can.

Task 14 – 3

My beloved Panthers have won the Challenge Cup and I couldn’t be happier! I think both teams have a lot of great offensive players and it was something that was going to kind of wash each other out. However there’s no surprise what the main difference was (and it was the case for the whole playoffs): goaltending. Grzegorz was the X factor for the Panthers, and he was by far their best player throughout the entire playoffs. Derek Martin has a case for the Razov, but I don’t think the Panthers even get to the finals, let alone win, without their goaltending. Considering Tampa had one of the most potent offenses this season, having that wall in net was going to be key to stopping them, and it worked out. There was some hiccups for two games where they started to find their rhythm, but it ended up working out and the Panthers were able to close it out with another amazing performance in goal.

3. Many of Tampa Bay’s defencemen, like Jølngüštrâädüvich DuBølk and John Brown have better defensive stats compared to Panthers defencemen. Do you think they can keep shutting down the offensive of Los Angeles or do you think that Los Angeles defencemen just appear worse because of the tougher opponents they have had to face?

The Panthers defenders had to face what was literally the second and third best teams in the league on their way to the Cup finals. It's not a huge surprise that they ended up with the worse stats. Not just that, but the fact that those series also ended up going to seven games more then once means that there was definately a lot more chances for them to get worse stats.

6. How was the season for you player? What you expect from next one?

Andren Akerson had his second worse season in his career. Aside from a new high of six game winning goals, he really didn't do anything remarkable. However, he couldn't be happier with that. You see, there is this funny coincidence that whenever Andren has what amounts to a lousy season, his team wins the Cup. It happened back in Season 75 and it's happening again now as the Panthers hoist the Cup a second time. Andren is like any other player, he wants those individual accolades. He wants to be winning awards and being singled out as the best but getting the Cup is always a really good way to make up for an individually lousy season. Next season will be a new start and Akerson is going for an award. Hopefully the Turd but he'd be happy with anything and if he does bad again... well hopefully there is winning a third Cup in his future.

8. Written, 50 to 200+ words. The Path

The path to the finals can matter a lot to a team and really, it depends on the team. You could have a series of injuries which bring you to the finals completely depleted or you could have a bunch of long series that really hardens the team and gets them in sync. The Panthers are the second kind. They beat the second best, third best best teams on their way to the finals... where they played the fourth best team. They literally had to go through two better teams to get there. There is no stopping the Panthers, they already honed their team on the toughest opponents the league had.

Nor Ge had a fine season, I would have loved to get a little more offensive production for him, but I don’t lose sleep over it. I also thought he was significantly better in the playoffs that he was during the regular season which is a great sign. For the upcoming season, ending with over a point per game is the main personal goal.

Los Angeles comes to finals after two seven game seriesses while Tampa Bay has only lost one game after the first round and they have 3 less games during the playoffs. Do you think Tampa Bay gets meaningful advantage from seemingly easier path to the finals as they come in more rested? Or is there no stopping the train of the Los Angeles after they fought their way through teams that finished second and third during regular season? How do you think the path to the finals will impact the series and does it change who you favor?

I don’t necessarily see Tampa getting more rest as a significant advantage going into the final. Getting more rest will mean that Tampa’s players are probably in better physical shape going into this season’s final, which might help them, but I think that it won’t be significant enough to give them the edge. On the other hand, I think their easy path to the final might work against them. Having only lost one game in the last two rounds, they were never in a significant danger to get send home for the offseason which means they never had to play with a sense of urgency. If they struggle during the final, he will be the first time this offseason that they will have to play with the pressure that comes with playing with your back against the wall and the way the team will react in completely unknown because of the lack of adversity they face on their way to this final. On the opposite side, with having the Panthers who have shown us they will answer the call when their life is on the line. They show us they could get the job down when under pressure against the second and third best ranked teams during the regular season and it makes me think that they can do the same job against the fourth-ranked team.

2. Derek Martin is player with most points that plays in finals. Los Angeles has 3 other players that are also above or tied in points with Tampa’s Max Carnage. Does Los Angeles have advantage on scoring or does it just seem like it as they have also played 3 more games?
3. Many of Tampa Bay’s defencemen, like Jølngüštrâädüvich DuBølk and John Brown have better defensive stats compared to Panthers defencemen. 4. Before finals both goalies have pretty similar Goals Against Average, Soonika leading 2.51 to 2.55, but Brzeczyszczykiewicz has edge on save percentage 0.927 to 0.919. Which of the teams do you think has edge on net?
5. Finals can often come down to smallest details and teams are looking for any edge they can have. On average Tamba Bay players have longer names by almost 2 characters, how can either of the teams take advantage of that?
6. How was the season for you player? What you expect from next one?
7. This time for J: Who you got? Who wins the Four Star Cup? Why?

When things stay the same for too long there is risk of them becoming stale, so to ensure that doesn’t happen we need to add something or to something and as you were just elected as dictator of SHL you get to make the pick. Are we going to have more games? Maybe add few teams or 4th lines to current ones? Could even add more stats to spend our TPE by not standardazing the mental stats? What or to what would you add and why?

Task 0 - ISFL Affiliate 3/8

Task 1 - CW Trivia 6/8
Confirmation word: superb

Task 6 - Player Expectations 8/8
This season was a bit disappointing for Graj Virrok, though I suppose for a player in regression I shouldn't have expected quite as much. Graj scored 71 points this season, which was good for 4th on the team and certainly not bad, but the difference between 3rd and 4th was 23 points. Graj has a career total of 904 points, and I had been hoping that he would reach 90 or so this season to give him 923 and a chance at reaching 1000 career points by scoring 77 next season. However, now that the season is over and there are 96 points to go, it looks extremely likely that Graj will have to wait until S80 near the middle or end of the season to reach that lucrative goal. 2. Los Angeles absolutely has the advantage in scoring, playing more games and still being able to put the puck in the net for every game doesn't mean your stats are padded. It means that you can consistently get the job done despite having to do more work than the other teams in the league.
3. I don't think there's any way that Tampa can shut down the Los Angeles offense. I know they say defense wins championships but sometimes offense just completely overpowers defense. The Panthers have players that are too big and too fast for any team to completely shut down. You have to do well enough defensively to give yourself a fighting chance and not fall too far behind, but the reality is that Tampa is going to have to score their way out of this series if they want to win the cup this season.
6. This was an awful season for Cal Juice. He regressed horribly all the way from 29 goals and 70 points to 21 goals and 34 points, his worst point total in his SHL career so far and also to -43 which is his worst plus minus of his career so far. All in all this is a season to forget about entirely and move on.

12. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Is It Always The Same?
IIHF is short tournaments with only 12 round robin games for each team, which leads to huge swings from season to season when it comes to standings. Same is true for the WJC as well. With that in mind what do you think will be different from last season? Do you expect things to change for your team or player? And what you expect to stay the same?
(64 words)
The biggest change I see happening this season in IIHF is Czechia moving up the standings. Czechia has been in long lasting rebuilding stage but the young players are finally getting to be key players in the SHL. I don't expect Czechia to win gold this season but we absolutely will make it to the knock out stage, maybe evn the bronze medal game!
