1. Milestones, up to 3 TPE.
Milestones are folded in with All-Star Week. Link your Milestone claim as task 1 for up to 3 TPE towards your 8 total. Milestones 3 TPE 8. Written, 50 to 200+ words. The Teammate One Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, why were they an obvious choice to make the All Star roster, and what do you expect from them this ASG? (If more than one of your teammates made the game, pick one of those players other than yourself. If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, write about your team's candidate for last man instead.) Shadow Fenix was selected to the lovely All-Star game from the Great Seattle Argonauts. That team is a team to beat in the future seasons. This season they fell short in the first round of the playoffs but a future is very very bright in my opinion. When it comes to Shadow Fenix, he is one of the brightest superstars of the new generation. That young gentleman led the Argonauts in scoring last season. He scored impressive 66 points in as many games. That is a solid achievement because Shadow never cheats when it comes to defensive duties. He is a responsible two-way center like William Karlsson in the real life. That's why Shadow also plays penalty kill minutes iabout one minute per night. He can shoot the puck but also create chances for others. 32 goals and 34 assists are pretty even numbers, right? 17 of those goals came on 5v5. Five of his 66 points came on short handed which was nice to see. Words: 150+ 9. Written, 50 to 200+ words. We Had To Pick Someone More than half of the teams only got one player to the game. Those being (in random order) Edmonton, Calgary, Chicago, New Orleans, Minnesota, Seattle, Manhattan, Atlanta, Toronto, Montreal and Hamilton. Would you have liked to see more players from these teams, if yes, who should in your opinion have made it? How you feel about the spread of the spots in general? For sure Seattle would have deserved to have another candidate in the All-Star game. That guy could have been Will Tomlander who led the Argonauts in assists. He assisted as many as 42 goals. Very cool job by young Canuck. Will also scored 20 goals. That number dropped little bit from the previous season but nevertheless it was still very big number because guys who score 20 goals in a season are rare in a tough league like Simulation Hockey League. In the juniors game it is more common to see more 20 goal scorers. All in all, due to those numbers also Will could have deserved an All-Star game nomination but we will have to now wait for the next season in his case. Words: 100+ +8 TPE

Code: 2: 4 skaters from Los Angeles made it, should coaches try to keep them together or would you want to see things mixed up more? From my limited knowledge of how FHM works, I would think it is better to keep players that already play on the same line for their SHL teams together simply for the sake of continuity. With that said though, I'm unsure if that matters if they're not playing on the same team and if the simmers need to create a new "league" so to speak in order to do the All Star Game. From a pure fun standpoint though, it would be fun to see the top players regardless of teams make up the top lines and defensive pairings. I think it would help showcase what the top players can do together from a pure talent perspective. It would provide the viewers and fans a product on the ice that showcases the leagues stars without any hidden metrics such as time played together and comfort with one another on lines or as defensive duos. Code: 154 words Code: 13. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Just Hear Me Out My player, Max Carnage, is at least primed to receive a few awards this season for the first time in his career. He led the league in goals and points which was obviously really fun to see play out over the course of the season. As mentioned though, this is his first time really putting up great numbers over an entire season. So while I do think this award should go to someone else who isn't in line for an award already, a case could be made for most improved player. Prior to this season, the most points Max ever had in a season was 72 back in season 75. Last season though, he only managed 62 points. This season, however, he more than doubled that with 129. That's a pretty impressive jump all things considered. Code: 136 words Total 8 TPE |
