“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

Written Prompt 1:

Charlie Slurpe is a hockey player with the world before him. He’s made it to the big leagues, quickly making a name for himself - a young star on the rise. While his ability in front of the net is unquestioned, there is one thing, one monster, that stops him from reaching the peak. Every Friday practice in the offseason, late at night when his teammates have all gone home, he faces his true battles. A beast that plays on his own team with horns, claws, and monstrous strength capable of ripping even the most jacked goon in half in one motion – Deth Klaw. During these late night 1v1 practice sessions, he is forced to fight, check, and battle with this legendary creature, often being thrown against the boards mid-air in savage defense maneuvers. As the night goes on, he must battle time and time again, up against a demon that shows no mercy. Slurpe must find that one goal to finally go home for the weekend, but can he survive for long enough to score it?

Philadelphia's media team wants Marek to help with production of a short film to celebrate halloween on the socials and jumbotron before a future game. This film is going to be a classic whodunnit thriller taking place in the team's arena. Team members will mysteriously disappear one by one as Marek and his linemates Leonard Wood and Ubba Lodbrok race against the clock to figure out the culprit and save as many friends as possible. Prominent locations from the concourse and the benches and locker room will be featured and overall it will be geared towards family fun - no gore or anything - just some jump scares and lots of laughs (hockey players are terrible on camera anyway)

In the end, with only Carda and Wood left standing, they realize that they just hadnt checked their phones since the ordeal started, and Tony Soprano was serving up gabagool in the team kitchen all along.

So Cadmael, being a defender's defender, would make it so that the goalie has to be involved as little as possible in the defense process. While the goalie is certainly one of the most important pieces of any team, ideally the less that he or she has to do, the better. So Cadmael is focused on making sure that goalie stays fresh and limber for when their services would be actually needed. Cadmael pretty constantly likes to dive between speeding puck and the net, he also pretty consistently takes the puck away from offensive players. Again, the idea being to not let the puck even get close to the net. After a goal slips by, most times if Cadmael was on the ice, he would take blame for it as the defender. Maybe help take some shots and practice with the goalie to keep him warmed up during the intermission

Option 1

The movie Luca would create is a twist filled mystery with a Halloween themed backdrop. The movie involves a plot to steal the New Orleans Specter’s championship banner from the rafters. At least, that is what we are made aware to believe. What starts off as a simple prank, turns out to be the worst idea the group of would be thieves have thought up. What they do not know, is that the arena is haunted by an actual spirit who believes the hockey team worships them. I like to think of this as a cross between Home Alone and Ghostbusters but set in a hockey arena. The “Specter” would be setting up all these traps to protect that banner, believing it is some sort of religious symbol. The twist at the end is one for the ages, I do not want to give it away here, but just imagine an Agatha Christie level of storytelling and twist.

Written Option 2

At this point of his career Shaggy can answer most of these questions with "experience". Every game is different, of course, but a lot comes down to having experienced so many seasons as a pro and so many hockey games. Once the game starts 'game mode' is on and everything else is switched off. This is why goalies don't only train physically, but also mentally and mental toughness shouldn't be underestimated. Younger players have more problems with getting upset about letting in a goal, but Shaggy has seen everything and a goal is simply a goal. It happened - nothing you can do about it afterwards, so let's focus on the next part of the game. It helps the team a lot of defense and goalie can communicate well and luckily on Winnipeg they do. During warmups and intermissions Shaggy likes to have a quick chat with his goalie partner on the team, whether he's the starter or the backup for that game. It's the only other person on the team who knows exactly what's going on in his head and that helps.

Prompt 2:
Throughout his career, Cristoforo Roccamontepiano has always felt disdain for goalies, the one he's against has always been trying to stop his main objective of scoring goals and the one in his end hasn't really matter since they didn't affect the way he played. Ever since joining the SMJHL though, Cristoforo is starting to see the value of goalies, he still hates the one he's playing against but now that he can't just outscore a leaky goalie, he appreciates a strong presence in his net much more. Because of this, he never really paid much attention to his goalies' superstitions or routines but now he makes much more of an effort to be more conscious their physical space and their head space. Especially now that he's captain, he makes much more of an effort to be a team player; the whole team, including the goalies. This includes trying to be there when they're having a bad day or a bad game, giving them space when they need it, and knowing what he should and shouldn't say and when.

Option 1: (Contains Dark and Sad Elements)

The Specters decided that they needed to reach out to new audiences to get to their games. They had picked to spoof ghostbusters, but with a twist. Mumei had secretly created fake versions of past Specters players in order to train the players. But, if those older players take one hit, they’re lost forever, never to be seen again. Mumei has also been mind controlled by an ancient evil and had secretly decided to take control of old players in order to terrorize New Orleans. Knowing the risks of impacting the old veterans, the specters are forced to find the unconscious bodies of those possessed and retrieve their souls. Thanks to all of the players, they were able to save everyone except for Mumei who they accidentally struck her in the leg. This causes Mumei to morph into a demonic-like phoenix. The phoenix is defeated by all of those who have departed this world, mainly because of an old friend, TDZ, who makes a wish to see New Orleans win another cup and the world restored to normal. The credits then roll with a specters ad, and a tribute to TDZ. May his soul rest in peace.

Written Option 2: Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava plays an essential role in helping the Toronto North Star goalies stay focused, both physically and mentally. Starting in warm ups Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava takes an active approach to ensure both Toronto North Star goalies gets into top form. Rather than taking random or casual shots, Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava is deliberate about how they shoot, simulating the types of shots the goalies might face in the game. Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava's shots alternate between fast, unpredictable shots and more controlled, routine ones to keep the goalie alert but not overwhelmed. Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava's shot approaches during warm ups strikes a balance between intensity and precision, which helps build the goalies' confidence early on. Once the game begins, Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava's interactions with the Toronto North Star goalies is more subtle but still impactful. Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava understands that goalies have to maintain a high level of mental focus for the full game, so Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava keep his communication short and purposeful.

Jussi Mutou has always had great ideas for horror flicks. His latest is an ice hockey slasher flick. He’s still workshopping the name, but he has an idea of the premise already.

In Season 80 at the cusp of the Montreal Patriotes grand domination of the SHL, the team finds themselves hunted by a maniac killer, hell bent on making them suffer. Along the way, they discover some horrifying truths surrounding the club, and the big twist ending as to who is actually stalking them.

Of course, the players can’t play themselves in this movie. They have a cup to win, after all. Although, Jussi Mutou would play himself, as there is a distinct shortage of Japanese-Finnish actors out in Hollywood (or anywhere really).

As for who would play some other key people on the squad, Xavier Beausoleil would be played by WWE superstar Sami Zayn. Ryan Gosling would have the role of Mikkel Enevoldsen. And Emil Karlsson would be played by Bill Skarsgard.

The casting for the killer is on point as well, with a former SHLer and Montreal Alumni taking up the role. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say he’s a man of few words. And the words he is of, don’t make any sense.

Goalie is a pretty important position, and as a defenseman, Deth Klaw spends quite a bit of time hanging out on the ice at the same end as the goaltender, so they need to get along pretty well. Goalies are kinda weird, tbh, so they mostly have their own thing going on as far as getting ready to play is concerned, so Deth mostly just stays out of their way. Deth is more than happy to help him get warmed up with a bit of shooting practice. During the game, Deth's main job is to keep the puck away from his own goalie entirely. If the other team is getting their shots blocked, or their puck taken away, then that is less the goalie has to do. A bored goalie is a happy goalie! At any rate, goals do happen. The best goalies know how to get back into the game but a few words of encouragement doesn't hurt to let them know the team still has their back.

The goalie is the anchor of any hockey team. While they are made fun of often, they are the also one of, if not the most, appreciated member of any squad. The first thing that Chopper does to help his goalie stay in the zone is to protect him at all costs. Nobody touches my goalie without getting a mitt in their face for their actions. Rather than focus on getting the goalie into the zone, Chopper ensures that nobody can take his goalie out of the zone despite their best efforts. Goalies are a lot like pitchers in baseball, to that degree when a goalie is on fire, similar to a pitcher throwing a no hitter, we like to give our goalie space in order for them to keep their focus. When things are going poorly, we let the goalie speak first in order to get his prospective and then we make our best efforts to heed his advice.

Written Option 2:

Since Marineau has taken a leadership role on the Raptors, one of his many tasks is keeping everyone locked in. Goalies are sometimes left out from being part of the team, but not on the Raptors. With two rookie goalies splitting time between the pipes this season, Marineau is always communicating with them, whether on or off the ice. He is constantly talking to them between whistles, during commercial breaks, and intermissions. Whether it's about positioning, whether they want guys to move out of the way because they are screening a shot from the point, or if they see a certain play the opposition is trying to make because they see the game from a different angle. Marineau also helps pre-game during the warm-ups to work on specific shot angles and locations that the goalies want to work on. He always makes it a point to have the goalies involved because they are working their tails off to improve and help the team. It can get pretty lonely sometimes when you let in a few goals, so Marineau is always encouraging and helping the goalies keep a positive mindset on the ice.
