S79 mPT #5: Expectations Subverted Due: Sunday, November 17th @ 11:59 PM PST

This regular season, I didn't expect to have a better season than last season. This is because I transitioned from a LW to a LD to play for the Raptors and this has been a great success. I led the defenders in points on our team. I am thankful to the Raptors organization for giving me a chance .

I really did think that we were going to go further in the playoffs. A first round exit for the Wolfpack was not the end goal and we were not happy with that result

To be fair, I expected my player to be above 70 points and was really hoping for another 30 goal season. Despite not reaching either of these, my player managed a PPG for the first time ever and still managed to be a 20 goal scorer for my amazing, new team.

I certainly did NOT expect to lead the league in Corsi For % with my all gas no breaks, thinks offense first second and third player . . .

I was surprised, not in a "I didn't expect it to happen" kind of way but a "I didn't expect it to be that low" kind of way, that San Francisco gave up the fewest goals in the league with just 203.

"Truthfully after my last season in Yukon, I was expecting a bit more of an improvement than the season prior in regards to points, even plus minus but mostly.. my overall contribution to the team. While I can be hard on myself for a bit of a step back it almost feels, my current playoff stats are better than the previous experiences prior. If anything, one expectation was less while one actually improved. Funny the things you notice."

I certainly expected us to go further in the playoffs, but our defense wasn't as good as we thought.  Hopefully this gets addressed in the offseason!

I did not see Calgary being this good this season. It was clear that the team was on the up from their performance last season but I think after this one, they are really solidifying themselves as a true contender or at least in the very very close future

Up in Calgary, we figured we'd stay roughly even with our 36-win performance from last season or maybe regress a bit due to the chemistry implications of bringing in an entirely new third line of rookies along with a rookie starting goalie. We didn't expect to end up being a top-five team and a legitimate playoff contender.

i expected kristian seppanen to melt on the ice during a game this season since he was blocking so many shots (this part was an expectation that did indeed come true) but he held up stronger through the season than many expected whilst still contributing offensively too!

I think Joy did as I expected. He was not insanely good, but he was not bad. He did his best, and his team helped out a lot. It was good.

I thought there would be a massive increase in fights this season with fighters like myself and chopper donquioxte starting to get playing time. Just more evidence that we need to up the fighting sliders

Given the start of the season, I expected Emerson to hit an absolute wall and stop putting up points. Luckily, that has not happened yet, and Emerson continues to put up points from the blue line with relative consistency.

Big Sweg expected to have improved by a lot, however he only got 5 more points. He also fell down to second to last on the team, He also didnt get the registered hits that he wanted going into the season. At least the team did better and he was top 10 in the league when it came to plus / minus.
