There's a lot of good markets that come to mind, and I am extremely satisfied that the first one that came to mind for me for an alternative SHL exhibition game location is Mexico City to make up for the fact that the Mexico City Aztecs never took form. A couple SMJHL markets that could take advantage of an SHL exhibition game, and reap the benefits (or otherwise just be a really good experience), are Vancouver and Detroit, of which I'm sure most would agree.

For the J, I am legally obligated to say that Prince George is a good option and the only option for a market that would benefit from hosting an exhibition game, after all the Firebirds must rise from the ashes once again. In addition, Regina's a big junior city and was good to the Force. Halifax would also be a great Maritime city to host a game after losing the Raiders. I twice applied for SMJHL expansion with a Sudbury bid, and can confirm that they are certainly hockey-crazed enough to warrant an exhibition game.

There's bound to be more markets I've forgotten as well, but these are some of the biggest and best ones that came to mind.

So, I realize this isn’t what this prompt is asking, but in terms of future inductions, I think it’d be really cute if I could get in. I’ve been trying my damnedest to do my best with Petr in the team that I have, including everything I haven’t done before, such as the 2k club. As it stands, Petr does not have the award or nomination pedigree typical inductees have, but stat-wise he does typically reach certain thresholds you’d expect of inductees. I’ve tried to make Petr the best offensive player I can, and I’m happy to have eclipsed 1000 points and to be outside the top 20 in goals and points all-time. I’d love to join the 500 goal club as well, but that may be just out of reach now. Playoffs-wise I’ve had a fantastic run, having made the 2nd round of the playoffs in more seasons than not, this helping lift me up to third all-time in playoff goals, and in the top 10 for playoff points as well.

3. On West you could build D pairs out of teammates or rivals as both Los Angels and San Fransisco sends 2 defencemen. Which one you’d choose and for why?

It kind of depends on what the coach wants to accomplish. If he wants to win, then he should pair the guy from the same team, since the chemistry they developed throughout the season should help them get the edge on their opponents. If he just wants the game to be a good show, then pairing players from different teams will be more unpredictable.

4. Which of the goalies you would have starting for each team?

For the East, I would start Denebor Milasch, simply because he outperformed Rebecca Montagne on nearly every goaltending metric during the regular season. Milasch had more wins and better GAA, GSAA and save percentage. For the West, I would start Justin Time in gold. Time is coming from a recent championship win and I would like to ride this momentum into the All-Star game.

9. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Balancing It Out
Four out of top 5 teams in the league were from teams in the West but East took all spots from 6 to 11. This is also pretty clear when you look at selection of players that made the All-star game, West being more focused on those few teams on top while East has more balanced approach with 5 teams sending two or more players. Which of the teams you expect to win the game and why?

The fact that the West team is focused on fewer team will end up benefiting them if the coach of the team decided to take advantage of the fact that these players from the same teams spend the whole season playing together. The coach should make sure he put the players who played on the same team on the same line and try to have the forward and defenseman from the same team on the ice at the same time. The chemistry these players have developed together during the season should give them a significant edge over their opponents, where most players will play together for what is most likely the first time. If the West team coach chooses to go with this idea to put his lineup, I think they will win. However, since it’s the all-star game and not too serious, I could see the coach choosing to give players an opportunity to play with players from a different team. In this case, the game will probably be closer.

Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, why were they an obvious choice to make the All Star roster, and what do you expect from them this ASG? (If more than one of your teammates made the game, pick one of those players other than yourself. If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, write about your team's candidate for last man instead.)

Kristian Seppanen had two teammates who made the All Star Game this season, which is season 79 of the Simulation Hockey League (otherwise known as the SHL). Those two teammates are Right Winger, Billy Herrington (managed by user @Ferda) and Left Winger, Jiggle E. Puff (managed by user @zeagle1). For those who are unaware, Jiggle E. Puff is a clever way of writing Jiggly Puff, the legendary (in spirit) Pokemon. They were obvious choices to make the all star game because they are good users, and good players who scored lots of points and helped carry the Atlanta Inferno hockey team, who reside in the Atlantic Division of the eastern conference of the Simulation Hockey League, to a deep playoff run which will turn into a cup championship next season, because Nathangus McExplosion is gonna win the cup (right @micool132?). Kristian Seppanen is very proud of his teammates for making the all star game and aspires to be among the group making it next season, which is why he is training hard to earn lots of TPE to be really good for GM Hotdog to manage.

Votes are in and rosters finalized, how you feel about the last 4 players that were voted in? Do you think there were more deserving players that were left out or were you surprised to see these players not to be picked in first place? Did player you voted for get in?

Look, obviously I'm not going to shit talk the four players that were voted in (but also like, I have no damn clue which players were the last to be voted in). But, how was Kristian Seppanen not voted in? How was he not the original pick for the all star game? MVP? How did he not win the cup? Kristian Seppanen, despite the memes, is the greatest defenceman to have ever existed surely, and so like, why wasn't he voted in? He was more deserving because uhhhh....his 284 blocked shots were actually meaningful blocked shots, but nobody else's were or something like that. So yeah, Kristian Seppanen was the most deserving for sure and he's gonna win the cup this season.

It would be remiss of me to not throw my home town of Brandon into the mix for this hypothetical hosting gig. Home of the legendary Wheat Kings since 1936, it goes without saying that the small city and surrounding farming community knows its hockey (although the same could be argued about most places in Canada). With the "Wheat City" being only a few hours down the TransCanada from Regina, despondent Elks fans would surely welcome the opportunity to make the drive and get their fill of "J" hockey again.

Much like Regina and Brandon, many cities and towns across the prairies and western Canada are involved in hockey in some form or another. From local to provinical junior leagues, and the WHL, it would be harder to find a place that doesn't have an association with hockey than to find one that does. In that respect, perhaps travelling a bit further up north could be the ticket. Which isn't to say that the territorites don't have hockey themselves, but moreso that they are less likely to have the chance to see this kind of showcase in person. How incredible would an outdoor game played on a frozen lake be in Rankin Inlet (once home to former Brandon Wheat King legend Jordin Tootoo) be!

Two words. Alexa Johansen. However, I'll give you some more words. Tied for 14th in league scoring and falling just short of hitting the 50 goal mark (45). All of this in her first season on the, I hate to say it, lowly Edmonton Blizzard. Although, with Johansen's production they'll hardly be lowly for too long. She should be in the running for the Ryan Jesster given to the best rookie in the SHL, if not an absolute lock. And while most award committees tend to lean towards a player whose team makes the playoffs when it comes to voting for MVP, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that she could be considered for that as well. At the very least, she was far and away the Blizzard's MVP.

Obviously both the SHL and its junior equivalent are extremely North America based, despite a large number of players being from outwith either the US or Canada. The All Star Games would be a great opportunity for the leagues to put on games in markets that are represented by players in the teams, and consequently give the leagues a market in those countries. You’d have the staples like the UK, Scandinavian countries and the likes of Germany. But there are also players from places like Japan or Nigeria in the league, much less traditional hotbeds of ice hockey and places like that could represent a real opportunity to tap into a market that is often focused on a handful of big league players. I would definitly start myself and this is not because i dont trust the other goalie, but Montagne finally has a chance to show herself in the all star game again and she is planning to make the most of it. Even if the other goalie wanted to play, she would have to fight Montagne to get her off the ice. Year after year Montagne's performance was not deemed all star worthy, so this might be the only opportunity that she has got. The only option for her is to start the game and play as much as she can and enjoy it, as before you know it, the career might be over.

8. kaarlo Koivunen starts practising pesäpallo (Finnish baseball) because he liked it as a kid and thinks it would be a fun summer activity playing päsäpallo with friends when his in finland also he could potentially introuduce his teammates to the sport and they could potentially play it together as a team bonding activity outside of ice hockey what could be nice for the entire team also if we are talking a more specifc skill he would specially train the batting what he has a special intrest and what makes batting in pesäpallo more intresting is that there is a backlimit where you have to shoot so you can't just train how strong you hit but learn to control your strenght just enough so it will be a good hit and stay inside the boarders or learn how to make the ball get far away when hitting it to the ground

11. To europe specifically countries like czechia, finland and sweden (they should have an SHL team anyways) because it has an already established market for hockey but not at the higest level so i would feel like something like an SHL all star game would bring a lot of attention in the country and the city more specifically i would want the SHL all star games to be held in finland in helsinki espoo or tampere. also the all star games would bring even more exitment to european hockey what could potentially grow the market for the SHL there even if a team isn't made there it still could serve as an market for the TV so it could help SHL expand their TV viewerships specially on early games what would mean more money for SHL and higer viewership.

I would also pair Elena Maximova with Sydney Shaw just to have both defensive pairs being a combo of Los Angeles and San Francisco to see if they get along. (62 words) +1 TPE

4. For the Eastern All-Stars I would go with Buffalo's Rebecca Montagne as the starter. Denebor Milasch has a bit better stats with a slightly higher save percentage and lower goals against average but I would like to see how Montagne does. The Stampede give up a lot of shots against per game so I would like to see how she does with a lighter workload but still against talented players. For the Western All-Star syou can't go wrong with either but I would go with Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz to see how it goes. Justin Time has been in multiple All-Star games as the starter so I think giving Grzegorz a start this time wouldn't be too controversial and his numbers are top tier. (121 words) +2 TPE

5. With the All-Star game being hosted in Minnesota, I would recommend that the players go out for a day on one of Minnesota's lakes for either fishing or just recreation. Hitting up one of Minnesota's Art or Science museums would be a good alternative for those that don't want to go spend their All-Star break out in the Wild. (59 words) +1 TPE

6. Squidwardo Tentacles would go on to practice dribbling in soccer. It takes a lot of talent and would be fun to do, being able to dribble in soccer like his younger brother Marco would be amazing even if he will never reach the level of the 4 time league champion. Being able to do some cool skill moves would be a good thing to brag about to his teammates and brothers as well. (73 words) +1 TPE
8.  Shadow Fenix makes the All-Star roster for the Seattle Argonauts once again, another well deserved nod for the first line center of the young Argos squad. Putting up 79 points and 39 goals is an astounding feat and leading the team in points again this season is something that Fenix has been able to do twice over his first three seasons in the SHL. An underrated part of his game in my opinion is his defensive ability, putting up 50+ takeaways the past two seasons and winning over 54 percent of his faceoffs has been huge for the Argonauts. Combine that with his willingness to block shots, the Argonauts are always confident when he is out on the ice. Another All-Star level performance by Shadow Fenix this season on both ends of the ice.  (134 words) +2 TPE

At the end of the day Hall of Fame is very exclusive club of players. This means that many players with great careers still can easily not make it, depending on how many awards or all-star nods they might get during their career along with general recognition. So who in you opinion should have made it? Is it someone who got snubbed in your opinion or someone who’s contribution wasn’t really recognized outside their own team? Who and why you would have liked to see being inducted to hall?
As is often said "it isn't the hall of very good" so you really need to separate yourself from the rest of the eligible hall of fame players if you hope to make it in during your window of eligibility. That being said there are always a few names that fall through the cracks. One name in particular I'm surprised never heard his name called was Geezus Kryyst. The 3 time all star never won a McBride or Honcho award which does hinder his argument, but over his 26 year career he backstopped his team to 2 Challenge Cups and won the Razov award for playoff MVP in both of those runs. His 361 wins is close or above many of the goalies currently in the hall of fame, however his win percentage is definitely on the lower side at a less than ideal 50.6%, but that is largely due to being on some rebuilding teams in the twilight of his career. He's certainly not a slam dunk case for the hall of fame, but I thought he would squeak in before his window of eligibility closed. [187 words - 3 TPE]

Which player on your team has the best chance of receiving an award? Which award and why do you think it is them? How likely do you think it is for them to get the nomination for it?
The San Francisco Pride are blessed with a number of elite calibre players, but there are certainly a few that rise to the top when discussing award consideration this season. Dominic Winters was an absolute force all season long, set career bests in many categories and finished 3rd in regular season scoring. As our top center I could see his name pop up in several MVP nominations, but one award in particular I could see him winning is the Razov award for playoff MVP. He has one already and was our top scorer again on route to our second Challenge Cup. Another name certain to garner some MVP love is Logan Webb. He rode shotgun to Dominic Winters, but exploded in the last week of the regular season to finish 2nd in league scoring and goals. His blend of offense with his physical side of hitting will be difficult to dismiss in the regular season MVP conversation. Lastly our rock, Justin Time, defied age and posted another incredible season between the pipes. He will once again receive lots of love in the awards consideration and may even scoop up yet another McBride. He's going to need a bigger awards closet soon. [201 words - 4 TPE]

2. East has interesting mix of top scoring players who finished on top 15 on points. How would you mix these players up to create best 2 forward lines?
The first forward line would of course consist of the best of the best. This includes the top scorers in the East with Antoine Beauregard from the New England Wolfpack on the right wing, Tony Soprano from the Philadelphia Forge centering it, and finally Jiggle E Puff from the Atlanta Inferno on the left wing. These three are offensive machines while also being defensively responsible.

For the second forward line I'm gonna start with a homer pick, putting Max Carnage from the Tampa Bay Barracuda as the center piece. Followed up by Billy Herrington from the Atlanta Inferno, and Gnabe Dabson from the Philadelphia Forge to make sure we get some physicality to go with all our scoring prowess.

Max Carnage was and is the obvious choice for any all-star selection coming out of Tampa Bay. They've carried a big part of the team for two seasons now, and he isn't just a goal scorer. Carnage likes to play physical as well. Having no hesitation to put himself between an opposing player and the puck, or even block shots heading towards our own net. He's simply an all-around star player and the Barracuda wouldn't have made it as far as we did without him. Simply seen from the fact that he averaged more ice time than even our best defenders.

When it comes to the all-star game itself I think he'll be more laid back. No one takes it too seriously or wants to risk an injury. And Max is a fun guy in general, so he'll likely try to put some flair on things. If anything I'm excited to see him in the skill competitions. That's where I believe he can truly shine.

8 – Antoine Beauregard (Count Chocula) is one of the members of the New England Wolfpack to be selected for the all star team. Really, what is there to be said about the guy? He lead the league in assists this season and placed fifth in the league in points, proving that he continues to be a standout presence in the offensive end of the rink. Further, Antoine was a strong presence on the defensive side of the puck. He had 51 takeaways on the season, extended his positive +/- streak to his eighth consecutive season (notably never being a minus player so far in his career), and boasts positive possession numbers both in percentage and in his with or without you numbers. Finally, he is an unreal presence off the ice and one of the leaders in the New England Locker Room. Count is one of the best users in the league, and I look forward to him putting on a show at the all star game as one of New England’s three representatives.

11 – In my opinion, Paris would be an incredible market for an exhibition game for SHL teams. There are strong existing teams in other leagues in Germany and throughout Europe, and with the surging French IIHF and Rhine WJC teams bringing renewed interest in hockey in France, now would be a great time to seize on the renewed interest and spark growth in the hockey community. Not to mention, installing an outdoor rink under the Arc de Triomphe would be one of the coolest venues in human history for a sporting event and I won’t apologize for being right on that count. Let’s grow the game and get more baguettes in this league!
