1. Milestones 2 TPE
9. When thinking about an all star game, its all about the top tier threshold of the teams, and being able to have 4 out of the 5 highest teams on one side of the Mississippi rather than than the other is a big boon when it comes to the game, given normally every team has a person they can send to their conferences respective roster, so a depth argument really cant help the east. 4 top tier teams means the west could easily have 80% to 90% of their roster filled out before looking any further down the depth chart and down the standings. Plus, this also means that the west team would have more overall chemistry than the team from the east, due it having a more centralized roster, meaning you could be able to have 2 teammates or 3 play with each other on the biggest stage, rather than a fragmented team, which could do wonders for a game that normally has a lack of chemistry This should be an easier win for the west, and give me a good five goals to one beating for the team dealt the better hand in this arrangement, the all stars from the west of the Mississippi (206 words, 4 TPE)

11. I think having the games be in rotating areas would be a boon for the league, given how international the game of hockey is. I think it would be fun to host it in either central America (Mexico City, Tijuana, Havana, Nassau). Or even international locations to coincide with IIHF regions, like going international with London, Riga, Stockholm, Tokyo, Oslo, Berlin, Bern, Montreal, D.C, Prague, Paris, Helsinki would be fun (68 words, 1 TPE)

2. East has interesting mix of top scoring players who finished on top 15 on points. How would you mix these players up to create best 2 forward lines?

2.
With the forward on the East roster, it's kind to build a line with much strategy around scoring.  Many of these skaters have a lot more assists than goals and there isn't a very clear goal scorer.  I think the closest is Tony Soprano who has 2 more goals than assists and shoots a blazing 19.2%.  Behind Soprano, I would anchor the second line with Trevor Lahey who shot 18.5% on a bad team, so we may see a lot more success with all star teammates.

With those two centers, it's actually pretty easy to slot in the wings.  I would slot Antoine Beauregard on the right of Trevor Lahey to try and get some goals out of that shooting skill.  Then Billy Herrington is the next best right winger, so they go up with Tony Soprano on the top line.

The only listed left winger is Jiggle E Puff who is another playmaker, I'd slot them up with Tony Soprano to share the wealth.  That leaves one last slot and a tough decision.  Do we take Gnabe Dabson as the other available winger, or do we take Max Carnage as the next best scoring player (actually higher than Lahey and Herrington).  I would probably pick Dabson as the last player in here because Dabson is trusted with short handed responsibilities while Carnage is not.  It's a sign that Dabson can bring some defensive responsibility into a top six that we are building entirely around scoring.

9. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Balancing It Out
Four out of top 5 teams in the league were from teams in the West but East took all spots from 6 to 11. This is also pretty clear when you look at selection of players that made the All-star game, West being more focused on those few teams on top while East has more balanced approach with 5 teams sending two or more players. Which of the teams you expect to win the game and why?

I would expect the West to win based on this alone.  On a single regular team, it's important to have balance up and down the lineup because you need someone else to pull the rope if the stars are having an off night.  However, this is a best on best situation.  The West is stacking the best players from the best teams in the league who also have great experience playing with each other.  Consider with the five player stack from San Francisco, you are getting someone who is used to contributing as the 5th best player on their team (without even trying to figure out who that is).  Any player who is the only player from their team is used to being the best player and getting all the best ice time.  These players come in as the glue that makes the best system in the league work.  This stacking is so severe, Calgary only has one player despite ending the season above two teams contributing three players to the East.

That all being said, I don't think this depth advantage is too dramatic because the goalies are both from these big stacks.  Skaters aren't competing with goalies for prefential ice time.  It's really comparing one fourth best, one third best, and two second best against two third best, and three second best.  Maybe with a math error.

3. On West you could build D pairs out of teammates or rivals as both Los Angels and San Fransisco sends 2 defencemen. Which one you’d choose and for why?

If I were picking the goalies for each time, I would go Justin Time and Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz. Just Time finished the league 1st in wins with 45 and Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz finished 2nd in the league with 38. Both goalies had over a 90% save percentage and were some of the best goalies for their teams.

5. This time the games are hosted in Minnesota. How would players spend their time in Twin Cities?

With the all star games being hosted in Minnesota, SHL players would have a blast. Minnesota is no Detroit or Los Angeles but it is a city that would capture the hearts of all SHL players. The city is the known as the "Land of the 10,000 Lakes" and is a city that has a great offering between its natural beauty and other offerings. It has an abundance of lakes and forests, making it a great city of visitors. Popular activities in Minnesota include kayaking, fishing, hiking, and camping. If players wanted to check out other sporting events, there are no shortage of other events. The Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Minnesota Wild are just a few of the teams who play in Minnesota. Just don't let Salami in the city of Minnesota because he would would banned almost immediately. Rumor on the street is Minnesota is known for beer and Salami knows how to put a few down. Rumor on the street is he was drunk all of this last weekend but we were unable to confirm whether or not that was drunk. With all that being said, I cannot wait to see Salami in Minnesota, absolutely destroying that city.

6. Your player starts practicing a skill that has nothing to do with hockey, what do they do and how it goes?

If Teemu Salami started practicing that has a skill that has nothing to do with hockey, he would be pick drinking. Salami is known to throw down a few beers. If drinking was an olympic sport, Salami would be a gold medalist. Lagers, pilsners, IPAs, whiskey, vodka, tequila, it does no matter. Salami is an alcoholic who should be put down.

5. This time the games are hosted in Minnesota. How would players spend their time in Twin Cities? (167 Words - 3 TPE)

Minnesota is a vast urban expanse, it certainly would be a daunting task to try and see all the sights its got to offer to outsiders and newcomers at once. I think a safe bet would be the notable Mall of America, a visit which one could only describe as a treasure hunt, treasure which never was known to exist to begin with. This gigantic location is attractive to any sort of stores and shops one could think of, there can hardly be any contest if one wishes to go around in search of goodies and interesting stuff. Beyond that, the city offers a significant diversity in its lakes and rivers, making it a prime candidate for at least a picnic evening, or whatever may float your boat. Even a walk by the shores and a little splash could be an interesting option.... were it not for the damned cold! Well, it's still pretty to look at, and it genuinely can prove a fine meeting place.

A recess is a golden time to break the habit and get into new projects, get ahold of new interests, and all that comes along. Andrea certainly is known to have what at minimum could be described as a modest yet genuine passion for cooking and sharing food already, and has got all the excercise he could possibly need. Thus, in moments like this, he could go on and venture into new horizons, something quieter he can keep on the side and pick up on a rainy day. That's right! I'm talking about miniatures! Painting and assembling, to be more precise. While it's far from the only interest or hobby he keeps up during the off-season period, this certainly has come out of the blue through some acquaintances, and due to its very nature, the very process of putting every thing into place and giving it a purpose and identity of its own, I'm fairly certain Andrea could only describe something like that as focus-demanding, but cathartic to its very core.

5. The only thing worth doing in Minnesota is the Mall of America. They have a cool theme park in there I think its still nickelodeon themed so they got spunchbob stuff in there. Uhh or you could go shopping I guess there's like a million stores. Everywhere else is cold and sad in minnesota.

All-Star games are usually hosted by SHL or SMJHL team but what if it wasn’t so? If you would like to grow the game on new market having an exhibition game with all the best players in the leagues could be good kickstart, or maybe it could revitalize an old market that might have had their team moved in the past? If you were to hold games outside of current teams, where you would take the games and why?

I would take the all-star game back to Anaheim. I live near there so it is cool to me and I disagree with the move to Yukon. California is a huge market and the league could still sustain an SMJHL or SHL team in the Anaheim area just as the Ducks and Kings live in harmony just 8 hours and 10 miles down the freeway. If you really wanted a new market I keep submitting to these things that Mexico should get a team. Put it in Mexico city. Its only fair that of the three north American countries, Mexico finally gets something. It might not be a huge hockey market but thats not super important for a simulated league. Bring the all-star game to Mexico so that people can see that we want the Mexico City Aztecs back for real. Or Tijuana or Cabo or something I don't know that many MExican cities.

At the end of the day Hall of Fame is very exclusive club of players. This means that many players with great careers still can easily not make it, depending on how many awards or all-star nods they might get during their career along with general recognition. So who in you opinion should have made it? Is it someone who got snubbed in your opinion or someone who’s contribution wasn’t really recognized outside their own team? Who and why you would have liked to see being inducted to hall?

I am surprised to see a few names that are not in. Dick Clapper was on his 2nd season of eligibility this season and he still did not make the cut. There were a lot of really good players to induct so its not particularly unfair, but Dick Clapper is one of the biggest names of the last 30 seasons or so. He has incredible volume stats and was a part of some of the best teams in the history of the league. It is incredible to see that he is taking his time to get in. I think ultimately he will make it despite not much for individual awards because of these reasons but it is still odd to see him continue to stay on the list. It was sad to see Nicholas Owens finally drop off the list in his last year without making it to the hall. Most of the S50s Buffalo cup winners made it in but sadly Owens was overshadowed by the other players despite being an incredibly solid D himself. It just goes to show that you need a lot to make it into the hall these days if these two incredible players from the elite Buffalo era are struggling to get in.
