S80 PT #0: Survive Due: Sunday, December 15th @ 11:59 PM PST
#31

Prince Marius would thrive in a game of survivor. Mainly due to his tenacity and cunning ways. I have noticed having watched survivor, a critical indicator of success is making sure everybody feels safe with you. The social aspect and pleasant disposition can get you to merger and then the ability to win and create strong and loyal alliances that can also be a bit tumultuous makes for a successful game player.

Prince Marius would be a shoe in for the physical competitions. he would use his cunning ways and good looks to build strong relationships but with his natural athleticism and strength, do well in the challenges. The issue with survivor is often the people have to eat irregular diets that cause weight loss. Marius could use the diet as he has spent much of the off season eating his way around training. It wouldn't be the first time Marius had to go on a diet. The last time was because he found a love of chicken wings in Buffalo, now he is traded he will benefit from a cleaner fish and coffee diet in Seattle

Written Option 2: For Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava the offseason is as much about growth as it is about recovery especially when you are still getting use to the grind of the SHL regular season and plyaoffs as a young sophomore player. Both physical and mental strength training are cornerstones of Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava's preparation, each contributing uniquely to Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava's performance on the ice as he hope to make another jump and improve on his game in his third season with the Toronto North Stars. At the end of the day Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava likes to take a holistic approach, understanding that peak performance is not just about skating faster or shooting harder but also about maintaining resilience under pressure. Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava sees physical and mental training as interconnected as strength in one area complements and amplifies the other in becoming a better hockey player.

Written Option 2: When it comes to Peyton Mclazy's survival it comes with trying to grow he is not attempting to grow just physically but mentally. He takes after his name pretty consistently with him being a very lazy person. He knows if he wants to become stronger and better he needs to work on getting rid of his laziness and develop not to procrastinate. This does not leave his physical training to be left stranded and both are equally important for Peyton Mclazy to become the best possible player possible in his own eyes. For Peyto Mclazy to become his best possible self he must master his mental capabilities to be able to commit to work towards his physical progression. He knows what he has to do now he just has to follow through. Overall, Peyton Mclazys survival capabilities are dependent on how he develops his mental game which will ultimately begin a domino effect where his gaol of getting his game better.

And of course it was the first action of the new GM (which, this does sound like something @"Gyro_Hero" might do). Being taken out into the Canadian wilderness, split into two teams (chartreuse and gamboge, really? Were those even real colors?) and forced to do all kinds of 'training challenges' very nearly drove her to consider requesting a trade. Or maybe even retiring right then and there. Being forced to figure out how to pitch a tent with no actual tents provided had nearly broken her, until a teammate (on team chartreuse, not on the Blizzards) had the bright idea of taking over the busses. After that, it had all blended together for her; insane challenges like climbing trees to grab immunity idols, or jumping across poles over a river, or whatever other weird thing the new coaches could come up with, leading each day to someone being 'sent home', aka getting to go a few miles down the road to stay at a hotel... Alexa almost threw and lost on purpose. Almost. But the competitor in her wouldn't let her, and so she stuck it out, worked her hardest, even politicked a little bit, in order to win it all... and instead of two weeks in a nice lodge, she won a pair of socks.

budget cuts, it was supposed to be outer space training for zero-G hockey but the salary cap was too low ;-;

"That way - no, no, a little to the left!"

"Oh, shit, not like that wait no -!!"

crash!!!

Written Option 2:

In my opinion physical and mental will always be important. Choosing here only one would not be very clever. The training always should be body balanced because it do not make sense only train the lower or upper body. We always need the total body for professional sport. So we do our hard training for all parts of the body so we can be ready in the best way possible for the season and with that we always getting stronger, fitter and more athletic. That helps our allround performance so well. But of course you also should have technical training specific for your sport so for us hockey. That also includes a good mental mindset for yourself. So you need to be fresh in your head but also you can train in mental base your eye-hand coordination. Because that happen with the brain is for me also mental training. So also should not be afraid on the ice so also in that topic mental training can be very important if you had an injury. After all you can see in professional sport all is important. Also your food.

Written Option 2: Dionicio takes the physical side of hockey very seriously and prides himself on his physical abilities. The legs get the majority of the focus, it is hard to play hockey when you are slower than everyone else. Dionicio instead goes the opposite approach, if you are faster than everyone you can hit them like a truck at any time. While legs get the focus, Dionicio doesn't ignore anything else, just trains it less. Big arms look cool but for hockey, the core is more important. Dionicio’s style of physical player requires the ability to be stronger than everyone and tank contact for around 25 minutes per game. With all the focus on the physical, the mental can be left in the dust. That’s why Dionicio takes days off now and then, where he can focus on nothing at all and do whatever he wants. The ability to calm down, rest and not worry is critical for the long-term health of the mind.

I think that we need to do a double survivor camp. Single survivor is tired, double survivor with the winners from teams heading into a Hunger Games style survivor experience is what we need. In that case, I think I will be taking BASE PACK and Gnabes with me into this experience. Base pack is a semi-dependable guy with bad luck and is a huge boon for the camp's morale and boosts the living conditions. I think that Base Pack is a great pick because you have someone who will do a lot of work and try hard but be an easy out because they won't win any of the challenges. Gnabe is a more difficult choice because gnabe is going to crush all the challenges and be a chad as well with food and stuff so maybe he's too strong a competitor to bring along to this kind of experience. Of course, Wingmate Roc will win because he can fly.

Tip Toasty focuses equally on the mental aspect of the game as he does the physical. The mental side of training is important to succeeding on the physical side, too. The mental edge of wanting to compete, wanting to be better, wanting to work hard creates focus for the physical training. Being able to quiet the distractions, find the motivation, and focus on what's needed is key to Toasty's training. Working with trainers who strategize the best ways to progress physically, and creating trust in them, has been a difficult aspect for Toasty, who tends to work better solo in other aspects of personal growth. Toasty uses meditation and breathing to train mental focus and deep reflection. One of his biggest goals heading into the next season is discipline and staying out of the penalty box, which requires this exact type of training in focus and self-control.

1.   Levon is used to the cold of Slovenia in dead winter, so the North American temperatures do not scare him in the slightest. He would use this trip as an opportunity to get to know his new Quebec teammates. For teammates he would try for Dominic Enselmo, his Vancouver teammate who was traded with him to The Citadelles. He is unsure of what line he will be on, and who he will be with on that line, and this camp will be an excellent place to find out. As for the camp itself, Levon will try to outlast everyone else for bragging rights if nothing else. He has done training in the cold himself, and did a similar trip with his team in Slovenia, but he had to leave early due to a contract offer from Vancouver. He was disappointed to have to quit before it was over, and this trip will give him a chance to redeem himself.

Out of his drunken "walk about" Coach Caleb showed up on first day of training camp proclaiming he has found a way to make us champions.

Of course we tried to remind him we are the reigning SHL champions. But he just looked at us dumbfounded as he weighed the next thoughts in his mind.

"Never mind that, I am talking about president's trophy, challenge cup champions."

Already done.

"Well we are doing this anyway!"

He than went into one of the worst ideas ever constructed for a competitive sports team as they prepare for the upcoming season.

"I am going to starve you, throw you on a deserted island where the weather will suck, so you will get sick, no shelter, and a machete to build everything you need. I will split you into two teams so you will hate one another, and make you do stupid challenges for my amusement, so you will hate me as I point and laugh. Whomever's team wins get to send one person home, everyone else continues to suffer for 30 or so days, so you hate your own teammate. I will call it 'survivalist.' It's the perfect plan!"

It was not the perfect plan. His first mistake was pairing the goalies and defenders together. Poor Justin Time was stuck on the island almost the longest as the defense alliance voted out one another before time until they helped Luke our leaving Time alone for a while.

On forwards, almost everyone one of us were meat heads and dominated the physical challenges, but the puzzle ones were impossible for us to get through.
We voted off on age and than on talent, meaning I was one of the later ones to finally get off this hell hole of a training camp. No, I don't feel ready for the season, and now I don't want to even be in the same room as my team...thanks coach.

The events ranged from:
Standing on one foot the longest
Who can complete this jigsaw puzzle first
To
File my 2011 tax return and ensure I get a rebate.
What do you think my wife wants for Christmas and keep it under $39 but make it nice.
Complete this triathlon in shark infested, ape and jaguar filled course.

Good news we only lost one teammate, somehow it wasn't Luke, who would believe it.

Written Option 2:

Training is absolutely key to success. You know that saying never skip leg day? Lewis Holl only ever does leg day actually. Skating after all is in the legs. So Lewis Holl is always working on his legs to get them as strong as possible. But he also practices his hits as well. Being the large defenseman that he is there is never a day where he is not looking to get some hits in. Running into walls or whatever stationary object is nearby. Whatever works really to get those hit numbers up. It is all apart of that physical side of the training in the off season to make sure that he is ready for the regular season. But mentally, he trains himself by reading a good book. Yeah a few pucks to the head do not slow this meat head down. Instead he trains the mind by reading up whatever hockey material he can get his hands on.

Johnny always works hard all offseason long. The intensity cannot be matched by anyone. There is a lot of work on hockey skills, from puckhandleing to passing (to cones of course) and shooting. The weight room gets quite used to Johnny. From squats for the legs to lots of ab work, Johnny is working as hard as he can. During the season it is quite hard to find time for such things.
But the mental side of the story is where Johnny is at his best. The work on visualizing the game, from winding up a shot, to sliding into perfect position to block a shot, is something he puts aside at least half an hour to on the daily basis. And of course visualizing the celebration after a win. Hey, if you don't practice how will you have it at the right time? The only thing Johnny has yet to use is the post cup win celebration. Yet.

Jokes on the rest of the team. All Kiwi does is go camping in her free time. She can start a fire with soaking wet wood and just two sticks. She can also catch rabbit and wild chickens and cook them up real good. She is the most well fed contestant on the team and crushes the rest of her teammates. She enjoys it so much, being disconnected from the world, that she forgets its a competition and just spends to the whole offseason out in the wild, fishing, making shelter, burying her poop. She's in absolute heaven. Eventually her team has to drag her back to the arena kicking and screaming. She has since become a major spokesperson for the Anachro-Primitive movement. When she scores on the ice the fans scream "Return to monke" and she has start lobbying politicians to ban all technology. She has also started a movement to return hockey to its rightful place. The ponds.
