S80 mPT #0: What Is 80 Anyway? Due: Sunday, December 15th @ 11:59 PM PST

No I do not think that season 80 is an impressive milestone. I mean all milestones for any league are impressive but to me the ones worth celebrating always occur every 25. Just a nicer number in my humblest opinion. It also makes 100 seem even cooler.

80 is just a stepping stone on the way to 100. There's not really any reason to celebrate 80 any more than 79 or 81, other than the fact that it's a nice round number. But 75 and 100 aren't particularly special, other than the fact that they are nice numbers for my smooth brain.

I think 80 is impressive but it isn’t a milestone to celebrate. Save it for 100. That’s really special. I think the league is going to do incredible things during season 100. How could you not?

Any season is a milestone if you celebrate it, life is short, celebrate as much and as often as you can. Why wait for an arbitrary nicer number?

it's pretty crazy that this league has had the people behind it to sustain itself this long and to be this popular. 80 is definitely a massive achievement, but we gotta keep our eyes on 100. that'd be like, sim league history i think

Its a big deal, the main thing I am thinking is possibly making a anniversary logo. OR doing a big redesign of a website. but other than that idk.

80 should absolutely be celebrated more than 75! I mean it's 5 more, it's an even number (Don't nervous tic shame me!) AND most importantly I wasn't here for 75!

LETS PARTY!

sorry guys but 80 isn't an important milestone. the only things we celebrate 80 for are for things we think may not make it to 100, namely humans. but getting to 100 seasons for shl seems almost inevitable here so no need to pull out all the stops for 80. (51 words)

As I am a S80 player I must believe that S80 is the greatest milestone the SHL has seen yet! Besides being 4/5ths to 100 sounds much better than 3/4s.

While I dont think 80 is all that special it still resembles the league as a long enduring activity we all come together to love. I think if we view it in that light we can appreciate it for what it is while not necessarily lighting all the fireworks again. Just a mindful appreciation for the league is what I think we all should have.

I dont think it should be celebrated. Things are not going amazingly well so i honnestly don't believe theres things to celebrate right now, better focus on making it better before the big 100

If you celebrate each number, it's less special so I think we should wait until 100. 80 isnt really that great especially considering how quick a season goes by.

Well, season 80 is fun and all, but ultimately its only 1 more than 79 and 1 less than 81. The only way it becomes meaningfull is if one or both of OTT or LAP win cups!

I don't think there's any special significance to S80 myself. at some point, milestones every 10-15-20 seasons mean less and the important ones are fewer and further between.

I mean hey, I joined in S75 and did basically nothing until now. S80's the resurgence of Andrade La Sombra, so it's obviously more important!
