S80 PT #1: The Greatest Show On Earth Due: Sunday, December 22nd @ 11:59 PM PST

Option 2: Marek loves the home opener, and it's an opportunity for him to set the tone for how his season should go personally. The opener itself, home or away, is always good for this - but the home opener specifically bring some real motivational energy with it, being able to feed off the fans who are actually supporting you. A good backchekc, a big hit, a key shot block, a goal - all of this gets the crowd going and its a positive feedback loop that Marek tries to use to propel himself toward more crowd-pleasing feats. It all starts with team intros. Marek makes it a point to wave a friendly hello to every side and corner of the arena. Hes been in Philadelphia a while now and they have really embraced Marek as one of their own. He's expecting to become a real difference maker over the next few seasons and he wants nothing more than to give these fans a reason to cheer. Opening night is definitely a time to go 120%, do all the little things right, get a team win and set the tone for a successful season both for the team and for Marek himself.

Written Option 2

First of all, me and my teammates try and make opening night special by winning the game. While opening night is going to be great regardless, getting that win takes it to another level. So, I will do all I can to treat opening night like a playoff game and make sure we walk out of there victorious. I also have seen that on opening night, it is important to highlight the fans and how they showed up to support us for another great season ahead. Before and after the game, I always try and make it a point to sign autographs. And during pre-game warmups, I will make sure to flip some pucks to fans in the stadium seats to make their night even more memorable. Really, opening night to me is like an extension of fan appreciation night where we can highlight the great season ahead while also celebrating the season before. I anticipate this season's opening night will feature a lot of these aspects!

Deth Klaw loves opening night, for a lot of reasons. First, it signals hockey is on again, which of course is the best. Also, its a huge to do for the fans and a really awesome time for them to see what they are cheering for, which is hopfully a team that is primed and ready to go win some games. Even bad teams can start the season on a high note, right! Klaw definitely shows up early and stays late to sign autographs and interact with fans. Quite a few hockey fan have memories of a time when a hockey player took some time to make an interaction special and that's the reason they keep coming back. Obviously, Klaw is fighting for a win every game but gotta moderate yourself for the season so I dunno if 120% is reasonable, or even what what means. At any rate, Klaw is super pumped for this season and ready to see the ice in a big game! (166 words)

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

Option 1: Uwe answered the call to be on "The Greatest Show on Earth". The other contestants on the show were Welsh rugby legend Rhys Pumphrey, French Ligue 1 footballer Hervé Gignac, Aussie Rules pro Augie McNamara and a minor leaguer from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders whose name everyone forgot two minutes in. None of them knew, though, that they would be part of a special episode in the style of a Japanese game show. And we're not talking Ninja Warrior style.... Some games were sports themed with them doing keepie-uppies on an soapy field, a home run derby with special foam bats and a couple holes of frisbee golf where they could hit each other with wind machines. But of course it also had the typical Japanese games - nothing better than seeing a bunch of butch guys making themselves look like absolute muppets. Uwe did alright and came in second at the end. But the real question is whether his teammates will ever stop putting up those pictures of him playing half-naked soapy curling and being run over by the brain wall on his locker or not.

Langston is of course going to do his best to make sure the fans have a great time at the season opener, especially now as the new captain of the Aurora and while he cannot guarantee a win, he is going to do his best with fan engagement. In fact, he plans to attend some fan tailgates and cook some food alongside them in the parking lot and launching hot dogs into the crowd during the intermission. He has some big shoes to fill as the next captain of the Aurora and he is hoping to win the fans over as they head into what could be a pivotal year for the development of the young roster of Winnipeg. He is looking to set an example both on and off the ice and in a smaller market like winnipeg word travels fast, both good and bad so Langston is bringing plenty of extra sticks and pucks with some Sharpies to the rink for the opener.

Prompt 1

Cristoforo Roccamontepiano accepts his invitation to 'The Greatest Show on Earth,' and upon getting there, finds himself surrounded with one of the top prospects from each of the other major sports leagues. A quarterback from the ISFL, a striker from the SSL, a pitcher from the PBE, and a shooting guard from the WSBL. When it came to other sports, Cristoforo was the best at baseball since hitting a small object with a stick is second nature at this point, beat out the other athletes at the physical aspects of football but didn't do as well as the soccer or basketball players when it came to running plays, was decent but not great at soccer, and was terrible at basketball as he would always either get a penalty trying to protect the ball, would lose it, and the few times he could shoot, he was nowhere near the mark. When it came to the other athletes playing hockey, none were particularly good since they didn't know how to skate.

Option 1

We know hockey need a lot of skillset to be successful and have a long career. Players need to be able to skate, shoot the puck, play in a team system while constantly avoiding being hit by the other team.
So when hockey players try other sports, they can't really be bad as they need something their regular training give (except sports in water).
With my height, basketball should not be that bad, hockey players play gold in the off season so while not being "good", I would be okay. For baseball, I have a strong core and my lower body is as strong as my higher one so I would do good and for the same reason I think I would do a good football player. I think the only sport that I would not perform well is soccer. I don't have the stamina to run that much and as I said before, my lower body is not much stronger than the upper one so I don't think it would work well.
I still think hockey players are the best athletes overall.
