Things have been tough these past seasons in Montreal, ever since Demir Bellona got called up. The team is going through a rebuild and they can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, so he's excited to get some playoffs action for the first time in his short career. The good thing is as his offseason gets extended he can take more time to train and get ready for the next season. Two years ago, Demir got introduced to The Rock while he was in town filming his latest blockbuster movie and he invited him to train with him in his mobile gym. That mobile gym is exquisite, the best of the best equipment any athlete could think of so Demir was really excited when The Rock invited him again this season to fly out to Los Angeles to train with him and other super star athletes. He would need all the training and tips to get his body into shape if he were to ever lift the Challenge Cup.

MattyJ takes his offseason training seriously, always looking to elevate his game. While he values solo work to fine tune his skills, he prefers to train with a group of competitive, like minded players. Every summer, he links up with a mix of current and former teammates, including some from his junior days. This offseason, he plans to skate with a few Chicago Syndicate teammates while also reconnecting with old friends from the Berserkers and Whalers.
His focus is on improving his speed and conditioning while sharpening his playmaking abilities. He knows that staying competitive means refining both the physical and mental aspects of the game. While he hasn’t attended one of the league’s “elite bootcamps” yet, he has had a few offers and is open to the challenge. For MattyJ, the offseason is not about coasting, it is about coming back stronger, faster, and prepared to make a huge impact. 156 words ![]() ![]() SHL GM SHL GM

During the offseason, the Atlanta inferno, a team in the simulation hockey league, and it's co general manager, micool132, require the player roster to perform pratice tasks (PTs). Such practice tasks are centered around hockey of course but also sometime about other stuff that could happen in a player's day to day life, such as doing promos, saving a cat from a tree, etc.. These practice tasks also give out points that players cumulate over their years of experience within the team. you have to meet a minimum threshold of practice points if you want to be part of the the inferno otherwise it will mean you are not qualified to be a hockey player! Someone who is very good at doing practice tasks is @goldenglutes glunkubus mcexplosivo or something. That player is doing them tasks like no other and is truly an exemple of dedication. The altanta inferno would love to have such a player in their roster because he learned from the master of tasks, bingo koivu. Radley has been enjoying his return to London over the offseason to reunite with family and longtime friends. It was filled with multiple walks down by the River Thames, crumpets, and afternoon tea. As per his traditions while he was rising the ranks early in his development, Radley returned to the comfort of his mother Gertrude’s cooking. He enjoyed a week of the classic meals: full English brunch to start the day and followed by a hearty classic British roast with Yorkshire pudding for lunch and supper. A man has to have the mental recharge, but a man also needs to fuel. Leading into the final weeks of the off season, Radley was focused only on his pre-season rotation, one week of juice cleanse and one week of meat-only diet. Radley is determined and dedicated. No dog treats here, his body is a temple and he’s continuing to build it into a fortress of speed, strength, and focus. Word count: 158 words ![]() Registered Broke
My player Tom O'Donnell is kind of a mixed bag in terms of his training regimen. He some times trains alone, whenever he gets the urge randomly to go out and hit the ice or do some ground training. He also likes to schedule training sessions with some of his friends across the league. He is known to be mentored by the infamous Tommy Westbrook JR., former steelhawks great and goalscorer. He also has been known to be on the ice at the same time as old time stars Rotticus Scott Jr, as well as Gabriel Johnson. Two older players who while they can't show him what to do anymore, they can sure as hell critique his game. While no one has seen famed "GOAT" Aaron Wilson in quite a while, there are rumors he maintains contact with Tom O'Donnell through encrypted messages feeding him film review and ensuring Tom is getting the best out of his skill.

For the past few summers, Anna Skovgaard has enlisted the help of fellow Norwegian national team member and Quebec City Citadelles legend Aksel Fiske to get a strong training camp together for the Norwegian team to make sure everyone is in great shape for the world championships. Norway has been making a big push to try and get to the top of the World Championships every year, and the training camp is there to practice all of the systems that the coaching staff wants us to run. We practice with our expected linemates, work hard on both sides of special teams play, and make sure everyone is in tip top shape. All the hard work has been paying off big time, and it really showed this year, as the Norwegian National Team claimed the gold medal! It was a big moment for a small hockey nation, and the culmination of days of work. Rumor on the street is that Fiske is going to push us even harder next year so that he can win a couple more medals before retiring.

During the offseason, Jiggle E. Puff returns home to the world of pokemon. For the first time in his career, he did not spend the offseason touring and promoting a new album. Now that he's getting older, Jiggle wanted to take some time to relax, as well as to give back to the pokemon hockey players of the world even more. He's spending half his offseason in the Kalos region, running a series of camps to grow the game out there, and will spend the second half of his offseason back in Kanto, working with the most elite prospects of the Kanto Hockey League along side with his mentor, Mew Two. Now that Mew Two is getting older, he's looking to hand off the bulk of the work to Jiggle when he's ready to retire from the SHL, and move into more of an advisory role within the pokemon hockey world. Jiggle is feeling reinvigorated and ready to get back to work this season!

Gnabe does most of his work in the off-season alone. Most players are nkt ready for his level of compete in tbe off-season and as such he typically has to fine new training partners often. At times a rookie will be invited out to train with him but that usually is the only time someone js willing and able to put up with the physical beatings thay gnabes off-season traimj g program entails. It's nkt just about winning fights, gbabe js also one to lose a fight or two and as such he usually tries to get the biggest guy in the local Philly bars to fight him, in hoops thay he learns to toughen up his chin and be ready for tbr new season. There is a vet or two who will come hangout for a day or so, but usually they stay on their own and try to get better at the hockey part. Thay shit doesn't work and gnabe fonda it sad

Offseason is the prime time for your player to spend time with their family and other important people in their lives. Does your player have a spouse? Kids? Pets? How about parents and siblings? Other important people that are part of their daily lives? How is your players relations to them?
Introduce us to your player’s family (and/or close friends). In the offseason for Vasher, he spends time with his family. He lives back at home with his wife and daughter (Mary and Shia). They live in a sizable home that gives them all space to be their own people inside the house. His daughter is 15 years old, and has been playing hockey since she was very little. There is a chance that she follows in her father's footsteps in the future. The house is located near Vasher's cousins who are also professional athletes in their own sport. His cousin Dalinar is a runningback in the ISFL for the Arizona Outlaws. His other cousin, Waxillium plays catcher for the Nashville Stars in the PBE. The three of them love to get their families together for barbecues and other parties to celebrate during the offseason (though not everyone's offseasons line up, they make it work). Lots of sports are played by adults and kids, just enjoying the game, fresh air, and family. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Registered Senior Member
This is Brett McMann’s first off-season since stepping into the world of the SHL. McMann had a respectable 0.5 point per game rookie season in the SMJHL with the San Diego Tidal and the team is getting ready to be a contender very soon. McMann has worked hard all season to reach his TPE Cap and decided to take his off-season a bit slower.
First thing on the agenda was flying back home to Canada in order to see his parents. McMann has a bigger family so they all decided to get together for a weekend at the cottage. McMann spent a lot of time with family and especially on the water, all while making sure he was routinely working out as well as getting on the ice atleast twice a week. After good time spent with family McMann’s off-season was halfway over and so he decided to fly back to San Diego. Since arriving back, McMann is back to full time training with the team as others are also starting to head back from their off-season time away. The Tidal are an exciting crew to watch over these next few seasons and I’m really hoping this season we will start to see the change happening. ![]() Registered "king" of the SHL
Off-season is Zedward's favorite time to sharpen his skills and do a great deal of training specific skills and abilities again. However, as he ages, he can now tell certain traits are beginning to regress if he doesn't specifically focus them, such as his shooting, given that during the season he is mostly focused on teamwork and defensive aspect. So Zedward is going to try and refine his defensive work as well as his conditioning, to heighten these skills, rather than be a master of none. Zedward typically trains conditioning alone and enjoys long runs, but for skating work on the ice he enjoys having his favorite coaches with him. Zedward definitely can tell he trains harder in the off-season, but knows it's worth it. During the season, there are too many games to be played to concentrate too highly on his own gameplay, versus learning the specifically tactics for the team and gelling with teammates to have the best chemistry.

Prompt 1:
When it comes to offseason training, Wizard takes his training very seriously traveling to different parts of the world in order to accomplish his training as he wants to train in adverse conditions so he can be prepared for whatever may meet him on the ice. For example, he spent two weeks in Sweden playing against some of their best defenders in small pickup games so that he was able to improve his puck movement and control when faced in a 1-1 situation. This training is very intensive and very hard for any other person but Wizard has prepped himself for this as he has developed a condition which reduces the jet lag he feels from traveling to all of these places which is a huge ability for when Wizard has away games in the country still as he is completely unfazed by long trips. In his offseason training regime as well he travels to different kinds of physical clinicals so that he is able to improve his skills nondirectly thru things like acupuncture which make his body feel better. ![]() ![]() SHL GM Littleton Award Winner

Jamie Fraser's wife, Claire, is a world war two nurse, time traveler, and former professional baseball player in the PBE. In this alternate timeline Claire returned from 17th century Scotland but overshot her destination and ended up in the future. Unable to return through the stones, she found a career as a baseball player while working on finding her way back to any of her times. Eventually, Jamie broke the laws of the Outlander universe and managed to find his way into the future as well. While he has been playing timeline phone tag with Claire, he's carved out a successful shinty career in the SHL. Once they reunite and Jamie's career wraps up, they will hopefully once again return to Lallybroch and live out the rest of their lives happily. Until then, I will hopefully come up with more ideas for side plots in this alternate universe as I keep churning through the books this spring. |
