Option 1:
Cutter has been with the Kelowna Knights for two seasons now, and everyone knows him as the guy who plays clean hockey. He is the type of guy you want to be on the PP, not the guy that is giving the other team a power play. . The dude's big, built like a brick wall,  but he's never dropped the gloves out of the sake of fighting. Not in juniors, not in the minors, not with the Knights. His teammates joke that he's allergic to the penalty box because of how little his emotions get involved in the play. That changes tonight against the Ottawa Highlander when their pest of a forward, Leo Carlsson, starts running his mouth after a whistle. Carlsson's been in Cutter's face all night, calling him soft and saying the Knights made a mistake drafting him. After Leo takes a cheap shot at star center Jordan Lafrenière, something just snaps in Cutter. He grabs Leo by the collar and tells him it's time to answer the bell. The boys on the bench are shocked, quiet Cutter throwing down? But the team's wants to send a message to the league just before the playoffs. Cutter isn't much of a fighter but he holds his own, landing a few solid shots before the refs jump in. The Knights bench erupts. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to spark the boys.

One thing that there has been made known for John Gibson, is that he will get involved when the time is right, whether it involves him or any of his guys, he doesnt take shit lightly, and nothing came out of the ordinary against the Kelowna Knights. Gibson likes a few of their guys, especially being teammates in Baltimore with a few. However, a crash in to the net involving skater David Corrigan really irritated him, almost as if he did it on purpose, he let it slide the first time. Interestingly enough, it happened again, and Gibson was not having it. Where he threw off the blocker (to make sure he didnt get ejected) and gave Corrigan a straight up fist fight before he could even get off the ground. Corrigan, fighting back but could not get off the ground, did lay good hits on Gibson. Ultimately, the officials split up Gibson and Corrigan after it showed that Gibson was straight abusing this man after some time, leading them both to getting in trouble.

Dunkler is an impressive 0 and 4 in fights in his SHL career, 0 for 1 in his SMJHL career, and Im not confident WJC or IIHF are going to fare any better. You may think those are bad stats, but actually getting into 5 fights is pretty impressive! That’s one every other season! Dunkler wouldn’t be opposed to starting the fight himself, he stands up for his teammates. I wouldn’t say he is playing a typical enforcer style role, but there is only so much liberty taking you can do with him in the game. Slash my guy all game? Meet me at the blue line bud.

I cant imagine there are really any players in the SHL now that are proficient fighters, so I think any fight would be a sloppy grabfest. Whichever player winds up on top of the pile is cheered as the winner, but lets be honest. This was more a contest of balance than anything else.

Written Prompt #1

In 510 career games spread across both the SHL and SMJHL, Matviy Cajabi has gotten into a grand total of 1 fight. And while those numbers certainly don't lend itself to a pugilist extraordinaire, it doesn't count the other fights he gets into that don't get marked down on the scoresheet at the end of the game.
Some of you might be familiar with the 1999 film Fight Club. If you haven't are think that you might one day, you might not want to read ahead as I'm about to spoil it. You see, often times throughout his career you could see Cajabi going full Edward Norton on the ice, beating the shit out of himself on the ice or on the bench. It is a bizarre spectacle, there's no doubt about it. At first referees and teammates alike weren't sure what to make of it, but it's normal now and they just let him do his thing.
With another stinker of a season in the books for himself, it has become increasingly more common for him to enter into combat with himself. Perhaps next  year he'll finally figure things out and stop beating himself up, but until then if you're the kind of hockey fan that longs for the days of rock 'em, sock 'em hockey and some fisticuffs, enjoy Cajabi v Cajabi for the time being.

By this point in the season everyone should be on the same page already. If you’re not and your team is trying to compete, it’s going to be a very bumpy ride to end the season and get into the playoffs.

That being said, when it comes to motivation it’s all about knowing your teammates. Certain teammates respond better to one on one communication, others respond better to being yelled at to wake them up and flip a switch. When it comes down to it the team needs everyone going at their best and getting that out of your teammates is important. Personally I am someone who likes to rally the groups with my voice, I make sure everyone hears me, I compliment the good and try to forget about the bad. However if something isn’t working my teammates will hear it from me to change and get better.

On the ice I just try to make sure we don’t get scored on, and playing hard defensively and forechecking shows how much you care to your teammates. It lets them know that players are fighting for every battle and that usually helps light a spark. It’s not easy, but it has to be done.

Cauliflower Pizza’s SMJHL team, the Tidal, currently sits 8th in the league. While it’s good enough to qualify for the playoffs the team expects more in the final few games. With a chance to place higher up the seeding rankings the team does some building exercises like a go kart night where the entire team heads to a track and races for 2 hours. While dangerous the team has a great bonding experience. On ice training however becomes more intense and more zoned in on troublesome areas. They work on their power play, on their defensive zone exits. Pizza however gets the rough end of the stick due to his lacklustre performance in his first year as starter. The team expects more so he himself decides to ask the inferno (His SHL team) for some training pointers and some on ice training to help him get locked in for the final games and for the upcoming playoffs.

Option 1: While always physical and aggressive, Tip Toasty is not known for fighting. In the late season game against Colorado, Toasty laid out a bit hit against Normand Marineau. Marineau was retrieving the puck behind their own net when Toasty crashed the boards as Normand swung the puck around the boards to a teammate on the opposite side of the zone. Toasty’s hit was boarding being a late hit as he had already committed to finish the check as the pass was going out. Since there was no penalty, Colorado’s DarthDeavin took exception to the hit and went after Toasty. While not thrilled for the fight, Toasty answered the bell for his hit and threw some punches. Neither fighter is known for throwing bombs, but they both got a few shots in. Eventually, Darvon got Toasty off balance and took him to the ice. Both players tapped the other on the shoulder before heading to their respective boxes. The fight happened five minutes into the game, but the big hit and answering the bell must have motivated the Walleye, because O’Duckling scored one minute later, and the team went on to win 5-2. The fight must not have been very memorable, because both players are credited with a fight loss.

Written option 1

Hip Hurts would start a fight with his former teammate and defensive partner Kiwi Söderberg-Snooks. The fight would be in good fun since they are still friends and keep in touch after being traded from NBB, but both would still take it seriously. Hurts already fought Océane Söderberg-Tremblay earlier this season, who seems to be some relative of Kiwi's, idk who, and he lost handedly. So this fight would also be about some familial revenge on the Söderberg name. Despite the good nature of the fight, Hurts is looking forward to showing some grit and fight against NL, as they are one of the strongest teams in the league and a cup favorite, so he'd like to show them that it won't all be easy. At the end of the day, Kiwi destroys Hip in the fight though. She's an actual fighter with a career record of 13-5, and Hurts has lost the only fight he's ever been in. Not even close.
