Good morning/evening! We've got something exciting lined up for this season's 2x media weeks. As always, we're continuing our tradition of automatically awarding the maximum bonus to all articles and podcasts covering the SHL/SMJHL drafts, as well as the WJC/IIHF tournaments during these special weeks. But there's more: this year, with the expansion coming up, we're also introducing an automatic 2x bonus for all media related to the upcoming expansion!

If graphic design is more up your alley, our friends in the GFX department have already revealed the dates for their special bonus week. Be sure to check out the link above for all the details!

HFFO and Jess’ media competition: Before we start, big shoutout to Jess and HFFO for their awesome initiative! Just a reminder that their contest is still open for a few more days, with $300 million in bonuses up for grabs. You can snag $2 million if your article fits one of their themes (like in-character media, pride media, or expansion media) and even win a piece of the prize pool if your article gets picked as a favorite. (Some conditions apply!) You can get a 2x bonus during the 2x media event, AND get a 2M$ bonus and submit the text for the contest.


A. IIHF/WJC Media “Week”: Commencing now until April 16th, at 23:59 Pacific Time - for the entire tournament duration - all articles and podcasts related to the IIHF tournament or the WJC tournament, whether current or past, will be valued at double the standard rate.

Please include (2x IIHF) (2 x WJC) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject to help the graders.

GMs: Please note that, starting last season, we have been automatically awarding a minimum of $1M to all roster announcements throughout the season, regardless of whether they were created during the 2x media week.


B. SHL Draft Media Week: Starting immediately and running until April 9th, at 23:59 Pacific Time - encompassing a few days before and after the draft - all articles and podcasts about the SHL Draft, whether current or past, will be worth double.

Please add (2x SHL Draft) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject.


C. SMJHL Draft Media Week: Beginning only on April 9th, and extending until April 16th, at 23:59 Pacific Time - once again, covering a few days before and after the draft - all articles and podcasts related to the SMJHL Draft, whether current or past, will be valued at double the standard rate.

Please add (2x SMJHL Draft) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject.


D. Expansion: This is an exciting time for our community as we prepare to welcome four new teams. To celebrate, every podcast or article focused on the expansion process will automatically receive the maximum bonus and be worth double. Additionally, these articles can be submitted for HFFO and Jess’ initiative, as the expansion is already a topic of their contest.

Please add (2x Expansion) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject.


For new players: Please know that all new members of our community can request an automatic 2x media bonus for their first article or their first podcast. If your first submission is during a 2x event, you can use your 2x first media bonus on your next article/podcast.
