Young man shows his age
Judge man named it sin
Bad man don' exist no
No evil man exists
Good man don't exist no
No righteous man exists
Sad man cannot cry in place where man can see
Never witnessed father weep
This old man thought it weak
But strong man don't exist
No undying man exists
Weak man don't exist no
Just flesh and blood exists
ExplainBut your mother would be proud of you
I bet your mother would be proud of you

The beast will crawl this earth
Then fall in the dirt to feed the crows
They'll rip apart his flesh
Til all that's left is glorious bone
So you'll bury your own
Too vain
You saw it unfold
What you know
And you claimed all you could hold
Until death did you part from the mess you made
I bet your mother would be proud of you
I bet your mother would be proud of you

Primate sharpens tool
To survive and thrive in the jungle
Maybe hearts were made to pump blood
Maybe lungs were made for flood
I won't blunt my blade for cut these chains
Rather let my limbs be drug through mud
You're my brother but your eyes are cold
You're my sister but your womb is bare

I bet our mother would be proud of you
I bet our mother would be proud of you

Bad man don't exist
No evil man exists
I know good man don't exist
No righteous man exists
Strong man don't exist
No undying man exists
Weak man don't exist
No just flesh and blood exist

Frank is so good tbh

Yea, heard it yesterday. Pretty sure he doesn't have a bad track, tbh. I really hope he does another album, though he may not.

You sure? I heard his dad is suing him for 1 million. Definitely something that makes you rethink wanting to be famous when your dad is suing you once you hit it big. Guys a fucking scumbag

About to do a review of Danny Brown's 'The Hybrid' and 'XXX' mixtapes.
Reply

1. Greatest Rapper Ever (4.75/5): A great Danny song, not one of his best but definitely one I enjoy a lot and have been listening to almost 2 years now..
2. Need Another Drink (3.5/5): Not bad, I can listen to it but it's not something I listen to constantly like I do for a lot of the songs on these albums
3. New Era (4/5): Love this song, it's underrated and my brother who is also a huge Danny fan doesn't really like it. But in my opinion I think it's a pretty good "what up" to Detroit.
4. Exotic (3/5): One of Danny's crazier songs and I prefer when he actually tries instead of trying to be "silly" in a way... Either way I can't really hate on any Danny song.. Yes I like him that much.
5. I'm Out (3.5/5): Produced by Chuck Inglish, so it's in my good favors already. Danny rides the beat slow and doesn't use his "CHECKKKKK" voice. Solid song and listen.
6. Re-Up (4/5): Danny goes hard on this song and it's about dealing so I really enjoy it, sounds real. Don't really care for the beat on this though, the chorus is lacking as well. But Danny goes on his verses.
7. Nowhere 2 Go (5/5): One of my favorite Danny songs, perfect beat, Danny GOES, and another song about Detroit as a shout out to where he's from. Danny made this mixtape while he was still in Detroit so you can feel like you're there.
8. Shootin Moves (4.75/5): Another one of my favorite Danny tracks, I just don't want to give two 5's back to back haha. Still listening to this song almost 2 years since this mixtape dropped.
9. The Nana Song (4/5): Great beat, I feel Danny but something is just missing on his verse. Nothing that puts it over the top, just a really solid song that I enjoy.
10. Guitar Solo (4/5): Danny tells the story about a young girl getting pregnant in the ghetto and you can feel the emotions. Danny is an underrated story teller. Not to mention the beat is really really different in a good way and it's very impressive Danny rides it so well.
11. White Stripes (4.75/5): A great Danny song, goes in on a rocker type beat. This is the type of song that put Danny on the map into the "main stream" (I guess?) Danny's balls to go in on different beats like this are what separates him from other rappers. Once again, I have been listening to this song for almost 2 years.
12. Juno (2/5): I can see why people would like this song because again Danny is talking about the struggle in the hood for a pregnant mother because that's what his mother was.. But I don't really care for this song which is a rarity on The Hybrid.
13. Thank God (4/5): Another awesome beat by Skywalk3r and Danny talks about welfare and EBT cards and how people in the hood survive on non brand name foods and how great of a thing it is to be food shopping when you're struggling in Detroit.
14. Drinks on Me (2.5/5): I like the slow Danny Brown flow, but this song isn't one I care for much. A very boring song compared to what Danny usually does. When Danny uses his slow flow usually the beats are much better.
15. Generation Rx (4.5/5): This song gets such a high rating because Danny breaks down the effects that pills have on him and it relates to a lot of people in today's generation that are hooked on prescription drugs. Rides the flow well and also breaks down how his addiction to them relates to his rap career.. This carries into XXX.
16. S.O.S (4/5): Nice beat but once again Danny doesn't have enough "UMPH" on it to give it anything above a 4 for me. It's a solid song absolutely but not one that I consistently play but when I'm feeling it this is a great song

3.89/5
>This is what my math got me overall, but in my opinion it deserves much better than this. The Hybrid is one of my favorite mixtapes that I've listened to and I rarely play mixtapes as long as I have for The Hybrid. Honestly I would give this a 4.3/5.. It is something that everyone should check out, if you want the link to most of Danny shit you can PM me.. I've listened to this album all the way through at least 10-15 times. Remember again that Danny takes time to enjoy for some.
