Lupul's a great leader but not smart to put a C on someone who doesn't seem to be on the ice for the majority of his team's games.

If he plays the next full season, I wouldn't be surpised if he recieved the C in a couple years. He is a great leader and is always invovled in community stuff.

Oh for sure, he's a great guy and a great leader but the main thing is keeping him healthy which is the hardest task

Dude, the rumour is the 7th OA, just the 7th OA for one defenceman. Of course this is all rumours so it could all be completely false or made up or even missing info. We are just speculating on what we know.

That's more than likely just the base of the trade. Rumors are never indepth to the whole situation. So I highly doubt it's a 1:1 trade

Meh, I would do it I think. Only thing I don't like is the loss of a defenceman. We really can't be trading them IMO. Definetly not defensive defenceman.

Horcoff is a terrrrrrible player with a high cap hit. Getting rid of him alone is a win for Edmonton. Gunnar is also the perfect fit for that team as a two-way defense first D that is very versatile. Has shown the ability to play top pair minutes and have success. Add the 21st pick and a second rounder in a deep draft.
