If that's the case, then the worst three teams in the league will be the Dragons, Stars, and Platoon. We all know Jesster, Honcho, and Garcia aren't any good at goalie. Bring back Joey Zyla imo.

Because one season doesn't make you proven?

We have SHL examples too. Shane Kelley was awesome when he was on the Rage, a few other goalies have been too but the inactive ones really come and go so I don't remember. Niles I think was good for a season

so ur saying sawyer is an inactive that will come and go???
and maxy has there ever been a goalie that did amazing in the season and almost went undefeated in regular time in playofss? he has proven something i beleive...

Niles is the perfect example imo. He was amazing his rookie season. Was a huge part in Toronto almost keeping us (When we were both on the Hawks that season) out of the playoffs. But after that he really just kinda faded away and was a good goalie and then was a decent goalie and ended his stint with us as a mediocre goalie.

It's called being a one hit wonder lol. Niles won the Calder Trophy. We see how well he did after that. Not saying he won't back it up again this season but it's not a guarantee in any regard and to think otherwise is asinine in my opinion.

Sawyer wasn't even a top goalie in the league last season by any stretch of the imagination. 8th in SV %, 7th in GAA, that's against other starters as well, he was literally that far behind other starters. 24-16-7 record too. Thoroughly unimpressive, and in fact one of the worst goalies in the league being 7th or 8th out of 10.
