Niles is the perfect example imo. He was amazing his rookie season. Was a huge part in Toronto almost keeping us (When we were both on the Hawks that season) out of the playoffs. But after that he really just kinda faded away and was a good goalie and then was a decent goalie and ended his stint with us as a mediocre goalie.

No maxy really, look at sawyer's stats. He's not even an example of a guy that had one amazing season, he had an extremely subpar season and played well in the playoffs

I hope Sawyer does do well, I like him. But I DEFINITELY don't think it's guaranteed especially after seeing those numbers lol

Well, maybe he was talking about players who can play defense WELL.

I played defense for a few games last season on the powerplay and got around 3 goals playing there (obviously more playing as a forward)

I also play defense in all international games. Beast with Jabir and decent in the most recent one.

My stats have changed from the last time I played a full regular season game as a defenseman (Blazer)
