I dunno, to have the league actually function and know that a part of it is because of you? Knowing that near two hundred people are made happy by an hour or two of time I spend a week to do some small task? I get paid to do it as well when I'd probably do it for free? Fuck I dunno man. I can't think of a reason either.

Idk. I guess I find the SHL more enjoyable when it isn't a job.
I'm crazy like that

Pay the bankers more is what I'm trying to get at

And then the Media Grader who has grade it gets paid a measly 2M for an entire seasons worth of grading. SHL logic is mind blowing. Rolleyes

make it so the jobs are actually worth wanting to do (unless you're Mac and your morals are greater than everyone else's)

maybe theres a reason so many people don't do/quit their jobs...

Pay scale should be based off of the amount of work you're doing and the average amount of time it takes to complete. Also, I guess the level of the job matters too, but the work/stress comes with it regardless.

Higher morals huh? I don't paint that far huh?

That's murals, Mac.

Whatever.

Any who more money would be cool but whatever. Its not a difficult task. I copy paste all the transactions into word from each team after turning off sigs and avys. Edit it to get the transaction list and then punch it in team by team.

We've been looking at ways to make the process simpler and more efficient but its proving difficult to do for security issues. I have one more idea I've been working on that I need to discuss.

Pay rate for work done and how often would be an excellent incentive to have it done quicker. But sadly this place isn't a job we get paid real money for and tends to be a hobby and a "when we have time to get to it" sort of attitude about it. People don't bitch often thankfully and when they do its taken care of very quickly.

The economy in this league needs to be reworked in my opinion. Money isn't scarce enough to make grinding jobs worth it when you can kick out an article and get paid better

Make a job pay some capped TPE and the value of the job goes up (on condition that you conplete the season doing the job), plus it helps to offset missed point tasks due to putting in league work (put in 3 hours on the league and sometimes the last thing you want to do is put in time for a point task).

Im fine with my SMJHL Media Grading pay. Not that hard of a job at all. Banking imo is the hardest, not counting simming of course.

Yeah, updating is a fucking mindnumbing pain in the ass to do. So many links. I've been working on an idea to help out with that but not so sure it would work the way I want it.

Have a weekly update thread, running midnight monday as training goes and everyone who has done point tasks can post in this thread and have the totals along with their name right next to it ALL in one location for the updater to look at and check against what the person posted as their total gained points.

This would stop backedup updates from having a dozen or so links and a huge amount of addition which is privy to mistakes as the scale increases, two maybe at the most hopefully only one. This would cut the time investment done enormously I'd say.

I think that this would make that tedious as shit link clicking automatron feeling disappear. It would also allow updaters to do a single week at a time keeping the Sim in line as Jack would like too. The idea to have training done Monday to Sunday night was a good idea and we should base these things around it.

I think an uncapped weekly payout would help people stick to their jobs. Maybe get a shit-ton more money instead if we don't want player inflation, but then we'd have to do something to make the money worth something more: 1 training per week means I'm set for the season off my first 5 articles or something. Maybe if we allowed 1 of each type of training per week? Instead of 3 TPE (or 5 TPE), you get the whole package if you've been keeping up with your writing, and it gives those players an advantage. Tell me if this has been proposed and why it won't work. Where's that downvote arrow, I know it'll come in handy...

There's rookies with almost 500 TPE already.
I don't think players with jobs should necessarily have an advantage over other players.
Just think they should get paid more
