Announcing S50 WJC Germany Roster
#1

Germany  Germany  Germany
Ladies and gentlemen, I am honored to announce our preliminary S50 members of the Germany World Junior Championship team. Without further ado, please stand and applaud the following players who will be representing the greatest nation!

General Manager and Coach: Hans Hammersmith @CementHands
Hans was part of a dynamic leadership group that propelled DACH to a smothering medal round performance last season and helped the nations capture Gold. Looking for a repeat performance in this season's edition.

The powerful group of german offense is fueled by Bionade. The official beverage of a better world.

A - Herry Morris IV (18G, 16A, +3, 99H) Kraken @Taxman100
Morris IV took a small step back offensively this season, but is still a key member of Carolina's cup bid. He is a returning member from the S49 DACH championship leadership team, and he will be counted on to be a leader on the ice again this season.

A - Tah Puhcheese (18G, 15A, +10, 49H) Knights  Platoon @Wheel Snipe Celly
Kelowna's top goal scorer this year. Puhcheese took a step forward offensively and is another returning member looking to lead the team offensively.

Nicklaus Engel (6G, 8A, -8, 38H) Knights  syndicate @rittflyers
Engel is yet another returning member to our team! He played a key shutdown role on the team last season and he will be looked for to continue the solid defensive play, but there should be a greater offensive role up for grabs in camp.

Karl Krashwagen (21G, 19A, -7, 89H)  raiders  Platoon @CementHands
Well this was a massive improvement from a 4 point performance last season. Karl is a returning member to the German team and played out of position in defense last tournament supported by MVP @FinnRhys. He will be moving to a more familiar wing for this go around.

Sami Rieder (10G, 24A, -8, 24H)  Whalers @Sami
Rieder is a 5th year vet who has by all accounts checked out. Let's see if the tournament will spark the love of the game back into him.

Patrick Muller @RippleLuck

Moritz Kruger @Thomas M

Jazon Viersaitl @Jazon123

Jan Silber @TaktiX (3G, 0A, -16. 30H)  Outlaws

Jiddy Jimbo @ScorpXCracker

Ben Collins @RadTech039

Adam Foley @Adam_TacoCat

Well .. That was difficult at the end there. Your forwards for S50 WJC Germany!

The German Defense is brought to you by Messermeister - Forged German Cutlery

C - Darnell Johnson (10G, 29A, -11, 93H)  Armada  Specters @frithjofr
It is my absolute pleasure to present Germany's captain for the S50 WJC. Darnell was transferred last season and immediately found a role in the leadership, acting as an assistant in the JR team, and playing up on the big squad on the way to double gold. He has the chops for leading this group and and the skill to dominate on the ice.

Hans Schweinsteiger (1G, 14A, +13, 41H)  Kraken  Stampede @baueranthony9
Schweinsteiger is a second year player who has only dominated everything he has been involved with. Another returning player from the DACH gold medal team, he was also part of the Montreal Militia in their run to the cup last season and currently holding a 3-0 series lead in this year's 4 star cup.

Lando Norris (2G, 11A +9, 18H)  Armada @BreDoubleT
Lando finished a sucessful rookie campaign averaging over 20 minutes played, highest among all Armada rookies. He is a minute chewing, defensive responsible player who is going to be playing a huge role on Germany's special teams and should be crunching a lot of defensive minutes on even strength in this tournament.

Dirk Von Grimmelshausen @Gold

Neu Ulmerika @neu_ulmerika

Marian Elsner (2G, 17A +13, 36H)  Scarecrows @Technyx
Marian had a very productive rookie campaign with St. Louis. He posted the second highest rookie point total on the team, averaged just shy of 21 MPG, and was bitten by the goal bug only shooting 6.45%.
Marian should play a prominent role on the German defense

Goaltenders are proudly sponsored by Riesen, a double chocolate indulgence that lasts and lasts

Biz Nasty (36GP, 15W, .882S%, 3.18GAA)  raiders  Blizzard @GrilledTwinkiez
Biz has been around the league for a long time. He posted league leading numbers last season, and middle of the pack numbers on a rebuilding Raiders team this season. He should be seing a lot of rubber this tournament, so perhaps the regular season was a good warm-up for the real challenge?

Colt Beckett @GreyGooseVodka
Well Germany needs to reach for this one. Beckett has retired and reports are he is coming into camp around 50lbs overweight. He didn't play this year in any league and is sure to be rusty.

Thank you for your attention. This is the preliminary roster for team Germany at the S50 WJC!

Is it that time of year already?

I can't wait to get out on the ice for my adoptive country once more and earn some more hardware! It'll be an honor to serve as a captain once again for this great group of guys, and I only hope that I can exceed the expectations of our team's gracious head office and coaching staff.
