Looking back from the end of Henrik Lundqvist Jr.'s third season in the league it is clear that he has grown into a totally different player from where he started. He is smarter, faster, and stronger, and he looks like he might be ready to go up. Texas should call him up soon, maybe even after this season. He would miss Colorado if this happens but would be excited for his next step. He wishes he had had better stats during his career but it just has not happened and he believes that luck is a major part of it. He just has not had any of the right bounces and it has cost him on the score sheet. But it does not matter, he is not shaken or doubting himself. He is still proud of his progress and happy to see where he is going next. He is happy to see that he is still on the right path and on the path to head to the big leagues. He wants to be an SHL star. Perhaps even an all star or a hall of famer.
The Raptors will hopefully miss him too and hopefully are happy with the pick they made all that time ago. Many days have passed since that fateful day and now they can decide whether what they got out of the pick they spent on him was worth it. If they found a gem or a bust. If stats were everything they would say they got a bust but Lundqvist Jr. has been a team player and has tried to play his role well. And he is still growing and if he has a fourth season he might do better with the new sim engine. And finally pay off for them. It has been a long wait but Colorado has been super patient and Lundqvist Jr. really really really appreciates them sticking with him, he can not stress that enough. They have been so loyal and he is trying to reward them and give them the help they need. He just needs things to click on the ice and when they do it is going to be an amazing time. Hopefully he can wrap up his third year in a good way and do well in the playoffs. Winning a cup is all that someone who is playing hockey wants and all that his team wants so they are going to be going for that hard. He is going to play hard every shift in the playoffs and not take a second off, giving it his heart and his soul. He is going to do his very best to do what his team needs. So I guess you could say it was not a good or impressive third season but Lundqvist Jr has come out of it stronger and is still happy with himself. He still has his head held high and he has become a big part of his team even without giving a ton of good stats. He is a great guy off the ice and if he is able to be great on the ice it will be great news for Colorado and he will shock the hockey world. He is not giving up, he is a fighter and he does not let a little bit of obstacles put him back or cause him to back away. He will fight, he will make it through, he will make it to that next level one day. He will finish this year strong and make everyone proud. He will give his coaches what they want to see and he will come back even better either for Colorado or maybe, just maybe for Texas next year. He is better than people realize and he could really shock some people even at the SHL level. Especially if he uncaps and is able to improve his skills in a few areas. In the future he will be the Renegades star center and we will look back on these struggles and laugh. It is still early and he has a lot of time left in his career to make an impact on the league and to do good things for and with his team. Lundqvist Jr is going to be a sight to see on the ice very very soon. He will wow even the most experienced hockey viewers and will be a fan favorite. With his great personality he can charm the fans and with his skills he will put them in awe with the great plays he will make. He just asks that everyone who is watching him keeps the faith in him just a little bit longer, he knows that he is almost there and he thinks this year has been one of his best years for progress. |
