A smooth, highly skilled play-maker with a unique combination of size, athleticism and talent. More of a play-maker than a shooter, Mucyk uses his reach and size to protect the puck and create opportunities for his line mates. A powerful skater who is surprisingly quick for a big man, the Ontario native could improve his first step and be more selfish at times to better utilize his booming shot. Mucyk continues to improve his defensive play and the physical component of his game as he matures, and he is not one to shy away from the rough stuff. He has a great set of hands, a fierce competitor who works hard, really puts a lot of time into perfecting his game, Mucyk is a great student of the game, very coach-able and battles hard in the dirty area's as well as in the face-off circle.
Certainly one of the most coveted prospects, he has the time and the potential to 1 day be one of the games elite. Most scout's have him ranked very high, definitely a Top 10 selection and a potential first overall in the eyes of some of hockey's experts. The sky is the limit for this kid, no ceiling to the potential that he has.
