Hello all! Team Sweden is excited for the World Junior Championship games and festivities starting very soon, and we thought we'd kick it off by announcing our line-ups, and captains for the tournament!

First off, we would like to unveil our jerseys for the tournament, which are a retro design! The classic design reverts back to the simple blue and yellow colour pattern, with the Tre Kronor featured on the chest of the jersey. Much thanks to @"awesomecakes" for the renders, which look stunning!

Thirdly, we would like to announce our captains and assistant captains for the tournament!

Our Captain for this tournament is Sven Yxskaft @kenvald!

Sven has made quite a few appearances for Team Sweden before, both in the World Juniors and at the Senior IIHF level. This time around, we are entrusting him with the leadership of the team and to set the tone both on the ice, and off the ice in the locker room. Sven provides a dynamic presence on the back end, paired with his cohort mate Ulrik Bergstrom, and we will look to him to shoulder the burden of heavy minutes in all situations, including special teams.

Our first Assistant Captain comes from the forward core - Al Kayhall @mxman991!

A transfer from USA, Kayhall has fitted seamlessly into the Sweden locker room, and has embraced life in the north with great gusto. He brings with him great hands, and great speed all 200 feet of the rink. With his dedication to his teammates, we expect Kayhall to stick up for teammates that other players might target and to provide the invigorating presence that we know him for on and off the ice!

Our second Assistant Captain also comes from the forward core - Sven Svenson @LordBirdman!

One of Sweden's new guard, Svenson has represented his country three times in the WJC so far and continued to rise meteorically in the SMJHL. A sniper who isn't afraid of getting into the dirty areas, Sven is a force to be reckoned with on the ice. Being mentored by the older players in Team Sweden, he will be sought upon to provide leadership as the older members age out and graduate to the senior team.
