Evangelos Giannopoulos has many strengths that set him apart from the rest of the draft class, however there are mainly 2 that scouts should be oozing over. The first being that Giannopoulos is not Yngve Simonsson, because being him is a flaw in many eyes and the second and more important is his defensive vision.

Max Goodman is a defense man who is looking to make a huge impact in his rookie season in the SMJHL. Highly touted for his ability to move the puck and generate offensive opportunity for his teammates, Goodman will be a key piece in any team moving forward. Another major strength is his ability to remain consistent on defense.

Bane has many strengths as one might suspect as a defenseman; he's intelligent, fast, and possesses a good offensive skill set. However, perhaps his biggest strength is his physicality and defensive skills. Bane can punish offensive players rushing into his own zone quite strongly and be a stable force on the back-line of any SMJHL and SHL team.

Zdenko Beranek's greatest strength is his speed and skating ability. It makes him a dangerous player on both ends of the ice, and especially in transition. He also has solid puck handling ability to capitalize once he uses his speed to get into goal-scoring areas, making him a very dynamic player.

Speed and shooting are the biggest strengths of the way that Alexis Vermette plays hockey. He is a quick skater who can beat anyone in a rush and he is also very good at finding a gap and squeezing the puck past the netminder. Opponents should be very scared of what he can do to them!

Yngve Simonsson was known in the J20 of the Swedish Hockey League as a player who could provide offense speeding down the left wing in Lulea, letting off a shot that would often lead to a rebound opportunity. His biggest strength was his speed and his vision on the ice, he was able to see where the puck needed to be to get the best opportunity to have the goalie out of position. His good speed and acceleration at a young age also helped him when it came to getting into the zone and around defenders

Super Sonic is an aggressive, strong, and mean Defenseman who can mow people down with his hits and also read an offense like an open book. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty and get into fighting and hurting people for the sake of his own team. With this man on your side, you can bet that the element of chaos will be in your hands to weaponize.

Aleksander Kozlov is a dynamic young player hailing from Russia, looking to break into the SMJHL for S55. Kozlov's main strengths are his elite vision, and awareness in both the offensive and defensive zones. He has the ability to always find the open man on the wings, and often finds himself in the perfect spot to break up an opposing play or set one up for his teammates.

Lucas Johansson doesn't really have a whole lot of particular strengths to his game to be honest. As is, his biggest strength is more so that he doesn't have many weaknesses. While not particularly excelling at any one part of the game, Johanson is able to play at a competent level in both ends of the ice. He's got a lot of room to grow and I think scouts are going to like the fact that this kid's baseline is actually very high despite the lack of elite skill. He could slot in anywhere in a team's lineup and his progression and molding can be guided however a team sees fit to. All in all there's a lot to like despite not having anything to love about Johansson.

Rock Strongo is known for being responsible at both ends of the ice. If his team needs a goal, he's more than capable of carrying the puck into the offensive zone and ripping a shot past the goalie. If we need to lock down a lead late in the third, you can throw Strongo on the ice and feel safe knowing he can help defend the lead.

Jonas Kahnwald is a small offensive defenceman who is looking to make a big impact in the smjhl. Being only 5'8, he has always been at a disadvantage compared to more physically dominating players, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in speed and agility. Growing up he was always producing points from the back end, more often than not joining the rush with the forwards, if not leading the rushes himself. However he doesn't forget his defensive duties. While he may not excel at hitting, he has an excellent stick and is good positionally. He's looking to continue to provide offence from the back end while being more than reliable defensively.

Originally Daedalus James was a defender growing up able to break up plays, check players off the puck and turn it up ice with good passing. The last few years he had converted to center, possessing good face off skill while maintaining his abilities to defend. Likes the PK but can still chip in on the scoresheet.

Valtterri Kauppinen is definitely one of the guys you're going to be thinking of when you think of a sniper. He's fast, accurate, and seems to have a great grasp on general puckhandling skills. Of course, as a young player, he still has a lot of room to grow, as his work on the back end of the ice leaves a bit to be desired. Hopefully in the next years, in his SMJHL and further SHL career, we can see him become a dominant player on the ice.

Patrik Money was no child prodigy and hasn't been working on honing his skills over many years. He just happens to be really good at scoring goals. The first time he picked up a stick was fairly recently. He hadnt even ice-skated before. He had no idea what he was doing but still outscored and out-skated everyone else who had been playing for years, confounding all the coaches. Since then they reluctantly keep playing him and he keeps winning them games.
