  Nevada Battle Report 
Preseason Sim 2 Edition

BATTLEBORN CONTINUE PRESEASON WITH 0 - 2 SIM

            The Nevada Battleborn are now two thirds done their first preseason and sit with a 1 - 4 record with two losses last sim. Even with the losses the locker room morale is high, with several players catching the live stream and keeping the locker room chat active and upbeat. Also everybody knows the preseason means diddly squat, no body wins or loses the Four Star Cup during this time of the year. 

                  The Battleborn started the sim off with a matchup against the St. Louis Scarecrows, which they lost 3 - 1. The Scarecrows absolutely kept the Battleborn's offense in check out shooting them 42 - 15. Nevada winger Alexis Vermette (@treant), picked up in the S55 SMJHL Entry Draft in the third round 32nd overall, scored midway through the first period to tie the game 1 - 1. Defensively on the other hand, alternative captain Sammy "The Goon" Koa (@ThatDamnWalrus) and Nevada's first ever draft pick (4th overall) Vili Afalava (@Wasty) led the way with 2 block shots each and 7 and 6 hits respectively. 

                 Nevada's second and final game of the sim came against the Anchorage Armada. The Armada beat the Battleborn 6 - 1 in the first sim, but Nevada fared a little better this time around but still losing the game 4 - 2. Anchorage almost doubled Nevada in shots, outshooting them 39 - 20, but Battleborn goaltender Phillip Weaver (@W19eaver) had his second game in a row posting a save percentage above .920. Sergei Voskoboynikov (@FullyDynamic) and Alexis Vermette (@treant) scored the Battleborn's two goals, while rookies Tanjiro Kamado (@Andy) (drafted 19th overall), Grandmaster Funk (@"GMFunk") (drafted 56th overall) and Jimbo Slice (@JMolloy54) (undrafted free agent) all added assists. 

               With 1 sim and 2 games remaining in the preseason Nevada finds itself wanting to tinker about with their tactics just a bit to get shots up but other then that enthusiasm is high for the regular season to start. Also earlier tonight Nevada announced the signing of rookie winger Chad Danger (@Arayvenn), dropping inactive Eric Bennett (@DatSmolBoi) in the process. Danger comes with a lot of hype and everyone from management to rookies are very excited for him to come on board. LETS GO BATTLEBORN
