Your Keyboard Warrior is here to dutifully recount the day that was on the eighth day of the season. Today we have the Vancouver Whalers at the Maine Timber and the New Foundland Berserkers at the Vancouver Whalers. The Whalers are going to hope for a couple of wins to get them back on the right track. Now, did they do so?

we are going to skip that first game except to say that Luffy Richard had the worst game of his career again the Maine Timber. the final score was 3-7 in favor of the Timber from Maine, and Luffy Richard managed a -3. I think this is one game he will forever want to forget. 

The Vancouver Whalers' second game of the day was a much better effort by the team, and a huge leap in performance for Luffy Richard compared to the Maine Timber game. They defeated the New Foundland Berserkers in a shootout 3-2 with solid performances from Name Redacted who showed up with big stops at key moments in the game, and McMahon scoring two goals as well as scoring in the shootout. 

Luffy Richard came away with a neutral plus/minus as well as taking a penalty, as well as a giveaway, but his defensive efforts helped secure the victory. The Whalers left winger had five blocked shots, two hits, and two takeaways. He added some offensive pressure with two shots on goal, but those efforts bore no fruit. This was a much better performance, and the added two points should help the Whalers confidence in tomorrow's one game sim. 

This team is showing its resistance and is playing a much more consistent game than last season. They still have plenty of time to surprise the league, and so does Luffy Richard.
