In His Own Words: Luffy Richard on Being Resigned.
#1

It has been a whirlwind weekend for me, I, Luffy Richard. He who is I, the greatest number eleven on the Vancouver Whales as of this posting (the world changes quickly, ya know?). I, who have been resigned for another year! And boy does it feel good to be back! As season fifty-five of the Simulation Major Junior Hockey league has come to an end, I look forward to being a big part of the Vancouver Whalers attempt at making a deep run into the post-season. We have a strong team, with great leadership, and I want to thank that leadership for guiding my career and helping me navigate the league. I know I had a very rocky start, and it would have been easy to let, I, Luffy Richard, fall by the wayside and become nothing more than internet ephemera. But you guys didn't, you put a little faith in me and that lit a fire under my fanny. Now look at me! Signed again and proving to everyone that middling talent is often great when it is boosted by a desire to please others because my father only cared about football...wait. Forget that part.

I am grateful for the North Stars. They saw the hard work I've been putting in, and have awarded me for doing so. I know it was a big risk, drafting a player who disappeared, and who is so far behind he's been chocking on the dust of the rest of his class for two seasons. But fear not! Once a Luffy gets going, there is little to medium things that can stop him. I'm like John Travolta in Grease when he's jumping those hurdles, I'll get past most of them! Then I'll pick myself up, dust myself off, and continue to hit on Australian chicks while being menaced by a guy who is obviously not a high schooler, but perhaps some twenty-one jump street type narc out to destroy dances for the lusty high schoolers who just wanna shana nana dippity doo ta dong.

My teammates in both Locker rooms have been great, and have answered every dumb question I have asked, more or less, played along with my terrible jokes, and have tucked me back in after I have nightmares because I like watching scary movies before bed. I don't know why, but it just feels right, up until the moment it feels wrong.

Shout out to Sato for being calm and collected while I, Luffy Richard, have terrorized every town we travel to in my neverending search for the greatest bowl of ramen--still haven't found anything superior to Rowdy Ramen, grab yourself a bowl.

Becoming a living simulation inside a Simulation that is obviously biased against you because you discovered its machiavellian propensity to be a hater, but thanks to the two great organizations that have helped me become acclimated to this virtual, somewhat text-based, somewhat software-based...yeah sure that is how it works.

The point of this post, besides ass-kissing and monetary gain, is that I am grateful to still be around and that all of you are stuck with me for a while longer. So ya'll better buckle up because it is gonna get even weirder around here. The Simulation will not stop Luffy Richard, he shall break the fourth wall that bars him from greatness!

 To Long; didn't read:

I, Luffy Richard, the great eleven, am signed for another year to the great team in Toronto.

Keep following me here as I attempt to become the Northest of North Stars.

Luffy, Out.
