S56 PT #5 - Halloween Party

I don't understand why I need to dress my player up for Halloween. I'm a dinosaur playing hockey. Thats basically a costume that I wear every day. Pretty sure Zybnek has always wanted to dress up as a Playboy Bunny though. I'm not sure thats something anyone really wants to see but personally I think he definitely has the butt to pull it off. Put a little bunny tail directly on his dinosaur tail. Its like a match made in heaven. Now that my buddy Kyle has created a player in the SHL too he could be Hugh Heffner. We could be the stereotypical couple. Minus the fact its definitely some interspecies love. But hey its Halloween that adds to the flair of the costume. Alternatively, if Kyle rejects the romantic advances any type of onesie - especially rainbow ones - always make a great Halloween costume. They're classics plain and simple. Also I apologize for whoever reads these to grade them - I do my best to keep them funny for ya.

New Rage Oliver Cleary was extremely excited for Halloween. Previously the Panthers were not an extremely close team and things like Halloween parties were not the norm. Now with a much closer team, Cleary knew that he had to come in and impress in his first team Halloween party. The party had a lot of the normal costumes you would see. Alex Winters and Luke Thomson were dressed up as the Step Brothers with their sweater vests and curly hair. Jax Aittokallio, being the GM and being the one who could kill your career in a second, dressed up as Jason Voorhees. Barrett McCarthy and his wife decided to do Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen which in the end is a little weird. So in the end, what did Oliver Cleary go as? Well depending on who you ask, the costume could be different. Cleary wore a pink, bean shaped costume with a little hole in the face. Half the team thought he was a Fall Guy and the other half thought he was an astronaut from Among Us.

Nick isn’t a big fan of Halloween. He’s always been the scared type and isn’t one to fuck around with ghosts or spirits in the slightest. However, this year his teammates encouraged him to show a little holiday spirit and to dress up in a costume. They picked out a vampire costume for him which is one of Nick’s greatest fears. He hates needles and the thought of two teeth needles stabbing his neck and sucking out his blood makes the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Just to get through the night, he got absolutely obliterated on straight whiskey to forget about his costume, especially when going to the bathroom and looking at himself in the mirror. Safe to say that Nick didn’t last long and ended up passed out in his own vomit by the end of the night. At least he showed a little holiday spirit this year. Can’t knock the effort.

This was the first time at a Syndicate costume party for Disisde Dayudie, and boy did he make the most of it. One of his favourite animes is Steins;Gate. Spoilers incoming but pretty much the whole premise of the series is time travel, and they find out about the time travel through doing experiments in a microwave. So Disisde Dayudie called a company that makes microwaves. After some convincing they agreed to make a human sized microwave costume for him. There are a couple anime watchers on the team but they were all confused about the costume at first, after a while though they realised what it was and they all wanted to try the microwave. We all know that radiation is bad tho but after a couple drinks reason goes out the window. CC II was the first and only one to jump in, nobody is sure but we might have had him in there a little too long because he decided to announce his retirement shortly after. SAD.

Alex Marshall and the Maine Timber’s Halloween party was a mixed bag. There was no theme set in place, so you had players showing up in all kinds of costumes. From animal costumers such as Calvin Hobbes as Tony the Tiger, and Dogwood Maple as an energetic puppy, to classics such as Konrad Drake as Dracula, and Jonny Tsunami as Aqua Man. The party was held at veteran Lucas Hellquist’s house, who was dressed as Hellboy. For the most part, it was your standard Halloween party. People brought guests over, mingled with one another, and drank way too much. Jesse Seppanen and Adrik Baranov were the life of the party, as they were coming up with all kinds of drinking games to play. Later in the night, a group of players, spearheaded by Seppanen and Baranov, went parading into the streets to celebrate the team’s game 7 win over St. Louis in the first round of the SMJHL playoffs.

Parker Smeb has always taken Halloween parties very seriously. For the Smeb Halloween party, Parker Smeb decided to really dress up like he's never done before. He had a ton of custom work done for his costume which included a giant nose, a big forehead, crooked teeth, fake short legs, a balding head, glasses, some chin acne, a half-complete mustache and to really add to the costume he didn't brush his teeth or shower for an entire week to make his costume as realistic as possible. All the Smebs ended up dressing up except for Kit who has always hated Halloween for some reason. At the end of the party, all the Smeb brothers took a picture and Kit and Parker looked the exact same. The extended Smeb family loved the costume, Parker won the best dressed Smeb award and decided to share the award with Kit for giving him inspiration for his costume.

"“HA HA! THIS GAME WILL NEVER END! I POSSESS THE SOUL OF EVERY GOALIE ON TEAM B!! CREW 4 LIFE!! SIGN WITH EDMONTON FOR THE CUP!!!” cackled Belial as he placed a Fedora on his head."

Still reeling from a heartbreaking playoff loss to the Kelowna Knights, the outlaws desperately needed a boost to morale in the form of an absolute rager of a halloween party. They say that drinking to improve ones mood is a tell tale sign of alcoholism but this was fully embraced in the Anaheim locker room. As per team tradition the team's rookies were required to do a joint costume and decided to dress up as the goonies. They fully embraced the tradition and were very thorough with their costumes and fully got into character. With his 6 foot 7 frame, Farley Hank stepped into the role of Sloth perfectly and was an absolute standout. Hubert went as Oscar the grouch and thusly spent most of the time popping out of the trashcan trying to scare people. There was some drama during the bobbing for apples as some of the more inebriated teammates inhaled a little too much water and needed medical attention. Other than that, a massive success.

With the Battleborn getting a first round bye, the mood at the team halloween party was pretty high. As such a lot of the guys on the team had plenty of time to get some decent costumes together. Bane, showed up as Batman, with his defensive partner Villi dressing up as the Joker. Team Captain Kamando came in as a swimmer with his speedo and swimming cap. Balzams came dressed as a bottle of vodka while fellow New England prospect GrandMaster Funk came in as a UB Funkey. The team party was suppose to dove tail into a team meeting about their next opponent Anchorage. However both GM's Jearim and Nokozoa got so drunk that instead of a team meeting, the team had to find the two of them in Vegas. They found Nokozoa in a magicians show where he was getting his legs sawed off. After reattaching his legs, they found Jearim in a casino where he bet his entire contract on the Battleborn to win the cup. Needless to say the team has some extra motivation to win the cup this season.

The buffalo stampede had an excellent Halloween party this year! We ate many buffalo wings as we do in the city of Buffalo New York where the home of the buffalo wing is located. I had them extra hot but some people were crying because they were too hot and then they put their fingers and their eyes and then they started crying because they was too hot and spicy in their eyeballs. When it comes to the costumes we had some great costumes so I will tell you. I went as Kanye West the god of my heart in the leader of my True being. People said that it is not good for me I was happy and I listen to so much Kanye West music at the party and I forced into the Halloween playlist many Kanye West music. Now when you look Hippo Passamus as a hippopotamus! Imagine that! Then you have the guy laughing the astatine dressed as a frog and then you had general manager really dressed up as a desktop computer. Alexander Selich dressed in his lederhosen and drink the German beer. Did you know he was German?

this year, the tampa bay barracuda halloween party was very interesting for sure. of course, ambacas cuddles came dressed in a maid costume with cat ears on, to the surprise of nobody. michael fitted came off 3 percs and some shrooms dressed as mario lemeuix. turg turg came dressed as a caveman and just screamed turg the entire night. igor victory came in wearing a literal bear carcass. i have no idea where he got that but i dont think that im going to be messing with igor victory because he might be wearing my carcass after that. panda panico came dressed as his favorite animal, a giraffe of course. tom fiddler became dressed as darth vader because he truly is evil and constantly tries to take out the absolute hero that is michael fitted. jakob hamr came dressed as his favorite tool, an allen wrench. overall, there were many great costumes and it was a very interesting night.

Quote:Written task: Describe your team's Halloween party this year! Who dressed up as what? Who had the best costume? What shenanigans occurred at the party? (150+ words)

First of all, the entire team goes through the motions of quarantining for two weeks because safety first.
The first to arrive at the party is Slip McScruff, who is dressed as a sasquatch. Slip does this to get first dibs on the beer and chips, but winds up getting hair everywhere. Next is Magnus Liljestrom and Reid Sutherland, the S53 boys, who've decided to go with a two-person costume: a unicorn. Which one's the ass and which one's the front? Depends on who sends me more simbux as a bribe.
Adam Barron shows up as Garfield the cat because apparently he thinks Garfield is still relevant (he isn’t). Nick Brain shows up as Pinky from Pinky and the Brain because he forgot which one was Pinky and which one was Brain. Calogero Crudelli shows up as a Wall Street trader because he’s all business. Commander Shepard is dressed as Rex from the Mass Effect series, Goku Muerto shows up as Goku Black to mix things up a little, and Strom Chamberlain finally makes it to the venue dressed as the Scranton Strangler because the thing he loves most is to choke.
The party lasts until the wee hours of the night and, come the next day, everyone feels like they had a good time but no one remembers why.

Managed to drag my family away from their iPads/TVs/cellphones with some hefty candy bribes and get them all down to the practice rink where the Manhattan rage team family Halloween party was in full swing when we got there.

These things are always a blast, the kids all getting a chance to play on the ice with the other families, only this time there are a pastige of ghosts and ghouls with Disney/marvel characters. All skating and sliding around having a extremely pleasent time.

The GM even kept his speech short for once. Just got onto the stage, dressed as a matedor, thanked Everyone for coming and the launched off the stage on to a giant bull that had been wheeled out and proceeded to hack at it. It turned out to be a giant vessel for candy that was promptly dispatched by the massed horde of little mouths and soon to be sore stomaches.

None of the players really dressed up. A few hats and such here and there. But regardless it was a great low key way to hang out with my team mates and connect with their families.

For Halloween this year, we were lucky enough to be able to get a lot of the recent alumni back to Newfoundland to celebrate and party together with the guys still on the team. Patty, Beeg, and I dressed as Tom, Mark, and Travis of Blink-182 specifically to annoy Corey, but to our dismay he was already passed out drunk by the time we even got there. I was really looking forward to catching back up with JNH and Tez, but they spent the entire night in the living room watching a variety of games on TV in order to track their 15 cent parlays on Korean volleyball and U18 curling. Andrei came dressed and Sergei, and when no one would meet his aggressive challenges to a game of chess, he started serenading us on the guitar. Steve got really lazy and didn't come in costume, and just gave us some bs about how he was dressed as a TV star. Ham was dressed as giant calculator which was fitting, and Tylar had a noodle costume on while constantly moving between rooms in the party looking for entertainment. All in all, it was a good time and I was glad to have spent it with my old Berserker teammates.
