St Louis Scarecrows - A rookie breakdown

This deep dive will have a look at a number of stats from the freshest batch of Rookies to join the St Louis Scarecrows. Mostly looking around the big stats and how their performance is impacting the team.

St Louis appear to have had a fantastic draft as far as staying power is concerned and have even managed to pull in a highly effective  free agent post draft They are, however, still lacking in the wins column which will surely be rectified in the upcoming seasons.

1st Pick - Jean-Locke Zidane - 243 TPE
The Scarecrows managed to pull number 1 in the draft in the lottery and with no surprise they picked the talented Zidane to shore up the RD for years to come. Zidane has racked up the highest time on ice of the team not just the Rookies, with that he has unsurprisingly got a large - in the goal difference section at -14.
He is however leading the team in assists with a whopping 9 on the year.

2nd pick - Friedensreich Hundertwasser - 248 TPE
With their second pick in the draft the scarecrows picked up fresh to the league Friedensreich Hundertwasser (yours truly). Hundertwasser was picked up by St Louis as a free agent for the last few games of the previous season and must have impressed as he was drafted back to the team.
The plucky Austrian wing represented DACH in the junior worlds and is now back to ply his trade for the scarecrows.
He is performing well with 3 goals 2 assists -1 goal difference and a respectable time on ice. Definitely a worth while pick.

3rd pick - Kit Kirkstone
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Kirkstone was the first goalie off the board. Not knowing much about goalies but going off the index Kirkstone appears to be performing as well as can be expected in his 7 games for a rookie goalie. Winning 2 out of 7 games is a decent enough stat line and saving 91% of shots on goal is no mean feat either.

4th pick - Hunter Sharpe - 234 TPE
The second winger drafted by St Louis this draft, Sharpe has also had an impressive start to his young career with 2 goals and an assist. Sharpe will look forward to more time in the seasons to come but when he's been on the ice this season he's had a few chances to shine.

5th pick - Greg Davies - 235 TPE
The Taskmaster is here and he's been setting challenges for his teammates all over the place. I think this pick will go down as steal of the draft as Davies is a stalwart. He may only have 1 goal and 1 assist, he has however been in 3 fights winning one and tieing 2.

6th pick - nick grant - 161 TPE
This pick may be the first of the scarecrows to not pan out having gained only 6 TPE since creating.

FA - Daryl Urquhart - 185 TPE
Free agency has brought the Scarecrows an absolute gem in Urquhart. The defense man has already racked up more time on ice than all of his drafted class mates with the exception of Zidane and that's with 6 less games played. 1 goal and 2 assists is a good effort from RD and the defense has held up really well with him in the ice, with a +5 goal difference with Urquhart on the ice.

These scarecrows will start to look even scarier as they cap out. They should become the bane of Detroit over time

Approved, +5 TPE @Asked Madden
