I was sure in for a treat with my first SHL stream: Game 5 of the SHL Playoff Finals. With the Syndicate only a game away from becoming the S57 Champeens, the Hamilton Steelhawks had to pull off some heroics at home. 8 minutes in, a goal by Nick Connolly put the series-leading Syndicate up by one. Less than 3 minutes later, the Syndicate increased their lead with a slapper by Ragnarsson-Tremblay that put Chicago up by 2. The Steelhawks were stuck with their backs against the wall. Something had to give with the series on the line in their home arena. And give something they did. In the closing minutes of the period, Dick Clapper, Hugh Jazz, and Rikard Hammarberg all found the back of the net: giving the Steelhawks a 3-2 lead heading into the first intermission. Midway through the 2nd, the Steelhawks increased their lead to 4-2 with a Ray Bork goal. Now, it was the champions who were on the ropes. But they refused to be counted out and responded with a Ryan Shepard goal before the end of the period. Heading into the 3rd, the Steelhawks had to close out strong in order to win. But an Akira Ren goal early in the period tied the game up at 4 apiece. The Steelhawks were able to shut down the Syndicate for the rest of the period, but they were unable to put anything up themselves. Overtime. After 10 minutes of suspense, Ryan Connolly slapped through his 2nd goal of the day to end overtime, end the game, and end the series. Despite the Steelhawks' best efforts, the Chicago Syndicate became the SHL Champions of S57.

Task 4 - https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=113378
Task 7 - The stream I watched was IIHF Preason Day 1 in which to start off the stream Team Finland played Team Czechia. The game started of with exchanging goals ending the first period tied at one but then Czechia strikes back fast with 2 goals to begin the second period. At the end of the period Czechia was able to score one final goal on a breakaway. The third period was full of many breakaways with missed shots on goal until with 0:50 left Czechia scored yet again to make it 5 - 1. The major difference in the game for me was the fact that Czechia had 41 shots on goal where Finland had 17. It seemed like everytime Finland would get a shot off at goal it would flip into a breakaway the other way in an instance leading to a blowout. Had I been the coach of Finland we would be recreating the late night icing scene where had had them going up and down the court over and over again.

Graded! @Jackers41 +1 Million for completing Task 7. The claim post for the PT you've linked for Task 4 hasn't been posted yet. Please wait for that or link to a different PT that's been confirmed. -leafs1997

Task 7:

It was Vancouver vs Maine heading late into the season. The whalers were looking to build some momentum after winning two games on the trot and the Timber looked like it would be a good team to extend the winning streak from. A huge shot from Knockedout byOvechkin put the Whalers up 1-0 but the lead would not last long. The Timber would score 2 goals in quick succession to gain control of the game and the Whalers couldn’t help taking dumb penalties in order to keep them on the back foot throughout the 2nd period. They would need a huge third period in order to get on track and they would get it from an unlikely source. 4 minutes into the period, DFA rookie Alexis Saint-Michel would score his first ever SMJHL goal from a breakaway chance that flipped the momentum of the game. Johnny Shuffleboard would then score with 12 seconds left to play and the Whalers extended their win streak to three.

It is an exciting 3rd period between the Anaheim Outlaws and the Anchorage Armada in game 5 of the SMJHL finals. The Armada lead the series 3-1, so it is a must win situation for the Outlaws if they want to keep their cup dreams alive. The score in the third period is all tied up 2-2.

The important go ahead goal for the Armada comes in at 11:30 left in the period. Outlaws player Donair is put in a difficult position and has to make a pass. He tries to reach line mate Julian Cunningham through the slot, but the pass is incomplete and turns into a loose puck. Donair retrieves it back however and this time tries his luck passing to Farley Hank. Who claps one on net, but Armada player Petrikov sacrifices the body to block the shot. The puck is loose and deflects towards the blue line. Petrikov recovers from the block, makes a move for the puck and passes to Michael Withecheck. Withecheck fancies his chance and break in on goal. Takes a wrist shot... AND SURPASSES MIETITORE WHO HAS NO CHANCE TO STOP THE SHOT. THE ARMADA ARE UP 3-2 AND ARE JUST MINUTES AWAY FROM WINNING THE CUP.

I recently was watching the SMJHL draft stream to see which team has drafted me at what spot. There was a lot of marbles at the beginning which I kind of skipped cause I was mainly interested in the draft. I loved the player cards that they created for players showing if they were a re-create, a new player and their strengths and weaknesses based on their current traits. I recognize some of the early picks from other simulation leagues. The Anaheim Outlaws drafted Raven who I recognized from ISFL as well as Fever95. Prior to the draft, I was DFA'd with the Citadelles so I know I have a high chance of being drafted by them. At the 10th pick, they picked Shane Duffy Jr. who was the other DFA that QCC had. At the 17th pick, I got drafted by QCC which is about where I expected myself to me. One surprise was seeing Frostbite being drafted 52nd overall. I thought he would be higher up but he fell down a lot.

7. Today I watched the S58 SMJHL entry draft. It was a great time. The stream opened up with just shy of an hours worth of marbles on stream, before moving on to the actual picks. There was a bit of commotion at the start of the draft as the first overall pick was accidentally leaked before it was meant to be announced, from the Newfoundland Beserkers, Aleksanders Balcers. An awkward start to the draft, but a funny one nonetheless. The draft continued as normal, with a fat trade happening straight away after, resulting in Colorado acquiring the 2nd overall pick from Carolina to get back to back 2nd and 3rd picks, which they used on Fedor Sokatov and KEKW Kekkonen. I myself was selected at 10th overall to the Quebec City Citadelles, a team where I already know a lot of the players there, which is a pretty good thing that I am happy about.
8. I completed this
