I'm just another draftee here to spout my opinion on where it would be cool to play. I've been through the draft process a few times and it's always a great memory coming out the other side. Nothing more thrilling than showing up to your new LR on draft night and getting to know your new teammates.

Good luck to all my fellow draftees tonight and without further adieu, here are my useless rankings of the SHL teams ahead of draft night!


1. Chicago


Chicago has it all for Kickz Jr. Coming off a cup, an extremely deep roster and some of my closest former teammates in JNH, Ofer, SDCore. The list goes on. It's a top flight place to end up on draft day.

2. Buffalo


WannabeFinn and Tomen is the pull here, there's really not much else to say. Not to mention that I would really love a chance to play with Harrington. Seems like a class A dude.

3. Manhattan


My first true SHL home. GM'd here for so many seasons. Got the Rage their first cup. A ton of really great memories. I would love to go back and hang with Buster and keep on with my main man Juke.

4. New England


There's no place like home. New England is my true home in life and it's probably the SHL franchise that I've had the most experience with other than Manhattan. Ace and I go way back here and the team is talented. What's not to like?

5.Atlanta


I got to know Hotdog a bit this week, and he seems like a really great dude. I'm not in love with the team branding, but there's some familiar faces here and Patty is my main man.

6. New Orleans


A really great GM duo, my old buddies Mook and PB, and what I believe is one of the sweetest branding options in the league. New Orleans would be a great new home

7. Minnesota

Some friendly faces here. Toast is always burnt. Leafs is like an alltime great. I know this LR would be great and that's really important to me.

8. San Francisco


A team I talked to earlier in the season that I don't know a whole ton about. But seem to have a pretty wide open road for rookies to make their roster and I love a challenge of being a younger player in the SHL.

9. Los Angeles


Bottas is the man and I fondly remember Wasty's LAP. Always had battles when we were up against them during my days in Manhattan. Its a sweet team branding and there's a few SHL legends here.

10. Edmonton


Tez run Blizzard teams were insane in the mid-teen days of the SHL. I think S18 (if memory serves me right) is one of the best rosters I can remember in the old SHL. Seems like a decent group with familiar faces and I've heard that Rhys is a top player. Would be cool to play with a team that I know alot about.

11. Texas


Rene's today definiately aren't the Renes of old. Landing here would make me miss Maxy & crew when we all used to dream of playing for the Renes at once. Poor Alex, now banned. Oh well.

12. Toronto


The hockey capital of the world also has Ty. Not much else calling me here but I'm familiar with the North Stars from past players.

13. Winnipeg


Meh, I don't really like the re-brand. Muerto is a good enough GM and wouldn't be so bad to end up in Winnipeg. I do hear it can be a boring place to live tho?

14. Tampa Bay


A roster that just doesn't have a lot of familiar faces on it. The team branding is super sweet though and the roster is pretty young.

15. Seattle


I just pretty much don't know anyone here and change is scary man!

16. Hamilton


But Nike, Hamilton is stacked? Yes, I know that they have a great roster. And I really get along well with Blues & Theo Morgan and I are old buddies. But I'm not crazy about having Hallsy as my GM. Maybe I'm just remembering the old Hallsy? Who knows.

17. Calgary


I have nothing against Izzy or Esa, but for some reason my players that end up in Calgary always end up inactive. Probably better for everyone if I don't end up in Calgary this go around.

18. Baltimore (AKA West Kendall)


Just keep me away from McZ at all costs at this point my SHL career. No thanks to West Kendall.
