** 2x draft bonus **

The long road to being drafted… after a lifetime of practicing, many early mornings before school (or one of my two study halls or gym classes) the payoff has happened!
 
Being a 1st gen rookie in this past SMJHL hockey draft I wasn’t sure what to expect, in the end 5 different team GMs chatted with me, three or four of them seemed interested, one was just curious I lived in South Carolina (we all gotta be somewhere, right?) But in the end, it was the very first team and GM that reached out, my new home in cold ass Canada as a Newfoundland Berserker,. Though, still not drafted 2 hours into the draft, I was experiencing a Tom Brady 6th round moment kind of feel... but in the end I went 32nd OA to me new home, and couldn't be happier to be there too! Great locker-room. Many thanks for Newfoundland  for taking the chance on a relative unknown from the beach, I will now be trading my wakeboard in for a snowboard and my Mustang GT for an AWD Explorer... or a jeep, or 4-runner, something BA.., Raptor?
 
In the end I couldn’t be happier to start my new journey.
